A great story of a courageous woman. Lots of history included that tells the story of Nazi occupation and Communist rule, through the eyes of a nurse trying to serve the sick, frail and homebound. A friend of St. John Paul II and a patron of several hospitals, she is definitely an inspiration. This was an interesting read about a woman with many talents and responsibilities, filled with just enough of her writings to leave you wanting to read more.
