From the best-selling author comes the intense enemies-to-lovers series, brimming with angst, revenge, hate, and a fiery-hot love story that will bring you to your knees.
I had never hated a man until met Spencer King, the heir to a multi-billion-dollar empire.
Love was a game to him and he crushed my heart again and again for no other reason than to take pleasure in it.
He was a beautiful monster.
A silver-tongued liar.
An irresistible player.
Five years ago, we shared a fateful night that left me so broken-hearted that I stopped believing in love.
He nearly destroyed me then.
I thought I was over him.
Thought I had moved on.
But like a bull in a china shop, he stormed back into my life again.
And now, he's back to play his vicious games...
Games I know he'll never let me win.
This is BOOK 1 of 3 in the Reckless Enemies Series.
There are cliffhangers between books... You have been warned.
HATE GAMES is a Steamy Contemporary Romance Series with strong language, a cocky privileged bad boy, and a strong, feisty heroine.
Ever since she can remember, Marilyn has been a believer in the happily ever after. When she started writing professionally in 2013, her books were received with great enthusiasm and quickly became bestsellers on Amazon. Today she continues to delight her readers with steamy modern fairytales, stories that will captivate you to the very last page.
Note to self - the H calls the h 'bitch' roughly a dozen times in the first two chapters.
The h is a moron with barely a 2-digit IQ, because she is turned on by being treated like used bog-roll by the H and proceeds to submit to his bossing and humiliate herself for him.
The writer isn't real bright either, given her disrespect for her own gender in writing this rubbish and also the errors I encountered in my brief consideration of this book. Seriously, what literate person is unaware that it's 'tattle-tale' and not 'tatter tale?'
Oh well. Can't fix stupid.

This book brings you to your climax. It allows me to create all these amazing gripping scenes and images in my head. The relationship between the two and how it built from when they were younger till the current age in the book is fascinating, You did not change the arrogance in his character and the crush/ whatever she felt for him in her. Their characters followed them throughout the book and I can't wait to read book 2!!!
Intense read that pulls you in and keeps you wanting more, needing to know more! This first book in the series has me hating Spencer and wanting to know more about why he is so angry and hateful towards Ellie.
Both characters have experienced loss of a parent and struggling to find their place after this loss. The attraction is strong between these two if they could just get past their family's history.
The beginning of this book was cringey. She was instantly infatuated with him although the guy was blatantly disrespectful and aggressive towards her. That made no sense. Eventually the plot did suck me in anyway though, and I’m on the second book. I hate when the characters are too much like a Hallmark movie (her mom), and I did notice there are several typos and grammatical errors which are pet peeves for me.
You really don't know what goes through people's minds when they choose to be mistreated. If a guy called me a bitch on the first time meeting me, there would be no second time. Yet Ellie was determined to see her life get turned upside down by a Dark Knight. Was it a great book? no, but there was something about this book that has you going to book 2 & book 3 just to see how her story ends. Recommend to 18 and up. Has death, swearing, sex, bullying, self harm, relationship problems.. There is also alot of self doubt and that is what can ruin anyone...
I didn’t mind this book…. Mostly. I definitely DID mind his usage of calling Ellie “bitch” constantly. And the fact that she was completely into him anyway. She stood up for herself sometimes, but I did appreciate that when he tried to call the shots about the situation that she left him. After she hid what was going on to prolong the relationship. 🤨🙄
I only got to chapter 5 and had to take a break. The way Spencer treats Ellie completely turned me off of the book. I do not understand how being called “bitch” and being treated like shit attracts you to someone.

Great read. The chemistry between the MCs was off the charts. The hero was such an alpha a*hole, constantly disparaging the heroine but desperately attracted to her. Talk about an enemy. He took almost everything from her. I would have liked to have seen the heroine go out with other guys, just for some balance in her life’s events rather than having her so attracted to someone that was truly despicable, have the hero become wildly jealous because the heroine was enjoying herself even if it was not ideally with him. There just wasn’t enough chasing and jealousy on his part and the book read rather one-sided. Also the age group read more adult than these characters at 21 and 23 could possibly demonstrate in real life.
It was a great read just had some issues of balanced behaviors giving rise to more diversity in their MC’s interactions as well as unrealistic age betrayal. It would have read more realistically if they had been in their last twenties / thirties, even.
I really wanted to like this book, but i COULD NOT get over how many times the H called h the b word in the first 3 minutes of reading it. It had priomise.
