Caught Between My Husband and a Hustler

Rate this book
For five years, Hermès Capone thought she had the perfect love story. As a trophy wife and mother of two beautiful daughters, she spent her time tucked away in the elite suburbs of Philadelphia living the fairytale she’d always dreamed of. Her only complaint was that her love life lacked the thrill that it once used to. As beautiful as she may be, she remains forgotten in her husband’s eyes. Julius “Cap” Capone is the best criminal defense attorney money can buy. He specializes in helping criminals with dirty money and even dirtier criminal backgrounds. He’s just taken on Philly’s biggest hustler, Nario “Rio” Sullivan as his new client, in hopes to get his charges dropped and an even bigger payout. When Rio and Hermès meet for the first time, she immediately feels a carnal attraction to him. Could it be his dark chocolate eyes, perfect smile or muscular build? Whatever the case, her eyes aren’t the only part of her body that want more of him. When rumors of her husband’s infidelity arise, she has to decide if she will withstand the storm that is threatening to tear down her entire household or taste the forbidden fruit that is Rio Sullivan. Between the lust and the lies, everyone knows love is not picture perfect. All parties are playing with a fire so hot, everyone is sure to get burned. Will Hermès succumb to her broken heart to save face and status or give in to the attraction that won’t fade between her and Rio? Only one man can have what’s left of her heart.

what a tangled web we weave

Hermes was married to the top defense attorney in Philadelphia. Little did she know her perfect world would come crashing down around her. Her husband was cheating and had a baby on the way. His illegal dealings had brought a gangster to her door named Rio! Hermes has an interaction with Rio at his club that would change their lives forever. Lies, deceptions and the truth mixed in leads to deadly consequences. A great read!

omg

I absolutely loved it. It was so emotional! I literally laughed, cried, sighed and side eyed my way through this book! It’s definitely not the typical urban romance. Usually I’m not too fond of unfaithful female main characters but babyyyyyy! This one right here was exceptional! No spoilers but I will say that if you’re looking for a Happily Never After then this one is for you!

just know I couldn’t put the book down

This book didn’t end like I expected it to but that’s what makes it a great book. I’m not even trying to spoil it but just know it’s worth reading. This book was messy but you know I love a good messy read. Let me add this cheating on your spouse and bringing home a baby and wanting me to accept it is a big H NO.

Now this was a good ass book! Met this author at the BRBF and fell in love with the cover and knew I wanted to check out the book. Baby this book could’ve been a little longer but I LOVED the story line. This may be one of the first books I ever read that didn’t end the way I would’ve liked so I’m still figuring out my feelings on that lmao. Great read! Cant wait to read more from this author.

what a way to end

This story was different to say the least and I enjoyed every minute of it. The FMC deserved to be lived and cherished and I hate that her ending wasn’t all that she wanted it to be

Loved this book

This was a great book. Cap had a lot of nerves and I'm happy that him and Tia got the ending that they got. I hate what happened to Rio and I did not see that ending happening like that. I'm happy that Hermes made it out to the other side. This is a must read.

Three and a 1/2 stars. These folks made me so mad. I spent most of the book yelling at the pages. Lol! A stuck wife, a husband who’s got his nerve, a side chick that doesn’t know her position, and a hustler that needs love, too. Whew!!! You won’t be bored, that’s for sure!

I did not see that ending coming. Loved how Rio helped build up Hermes confidence to say what she would take and wouldn't take.

This book brung all the emotions out! Hermes didn’t deserve to be treated that bad. Cap and Tia got what they deserved in the end!

Wow!

This book has everything: deceit, lust, greed, dishonor among thieves and lovers, and an unexpected ending.

I read it in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down.

Great read

Loved the book. Ending not so much. Cap should’ve died. I liked Rio, lol. But really a great read. Couldn’t put down.
