Journee had the odds stacked against her and it seems to be no end to the pain and suffering she had experienced at such a young age. Her mother was an alcoholic and her father left there home one night and never returned. She was left with the responsibility of taking care of her younger sister and fighting off men who were trying to steal her innocence. One day she meets Gabriel and he changes her life for the better. She soon finds out that his kindness comes with a price and she wasn’t sure if she had what it took to pay it.
Young and naïve Joy thinks she found the man of her dreams. She has had a crush on her love since the first time she laid eyes on him. The problem is the man of her dreams also belongs to her sister. She knows that she is wrong for loving him but she is willing to risk everything including her family to be with the man that stole her heart. Will she walk away from the love that seems to bring nothing but trouble or will she stay with him and suffer the consequences? Find out what happened in this standalone novel Loving you blindly.
This was a good story, immediately engaging and fast paced. I couldn't help but feel for Journee and Joy, living with a mother who gave up on them and life. They were at the mercy of every alcoholic, drug addicted man that their mama entertained until a street hustler falls for Journee and turns their lives around. But with that comes disloyalty, betrayal and Gabriel's true colors show. There's tragedy and victory resulting from this relationship and eventually Gabriel gets a much needed visit from Karma. I really enjoyed this story, but there was a drastic change in writing halfway through. It's like the editor quit and all of a sudden there's missing words, incorrect names and pronouns and more. If not for this, I would have rated this a 5.
That Gabriel was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He had everyone fooled. Joy thought she had a winner, and so did Bree. If they knew then what they eventually found out about him, they would’ve went the other way.
Jour deserved all the love that she gets from Amir. Gabe was a spoiled brat that wanted what he wanted regardless of who he hurts. Joy should of konown better than to sleep with him, She lost everything that she had just for someone that didn’t belong to her. Great read
