How did I not know about this novella? After diving into it, I can gladly say that I finished this series! Woohoo!
Once Upon A Red Hot Kiss was such a short book to fall in love with. There's just something about Lauren's writing that sucks me into whatever romance she is going to give me. Which I, of course, did willingly. It's definitely a friends to lovers kind of romance which can be sweet enough if you're in the right mood.
I was and I ate it all up. After finishing it, I can't wait to dive into my next book by Lauren!

3 stars rounded up. It was sugary sweet and super cute friends to lovers novella. It was OK but not really memorable but if you liked this whole series, it's a nice addition.

“Once Upon A Red Hot Kiss” is a short read but Blakely blends just the right amount of sweet between two people who cared about each other that happened to be friends and the courage they needed to put themselves on the line to level up and take that chance at love.
And did I happen to mention how spicy this one is???
I also enjoyed the text messages between Miller and Kirby’s sister and Macy’s other bestie, Ally. Those were a nice set up for their love story in the next book which I’m dying to read!

Short, spicy and a little sweet, this fast-paced novella centers around two friends taking the leap from to lovers just in time for Valentine’s Day. Even in such a short story (easily read in an hour or less), Blakely’s humor is evident from the start.
Our hero is a bit of a “Vrooge” (Valentine’s Day Scrooge), and our heroine is so ready for him to finally embrace what they could have together. They’ve been friends for a long time, but Kirby had a curse of sorts put on him as a kid, and now he’s wary of mixing friendship and love - no matter how much he’d love to go there with Macy. The spirit of the holiday starts to get to him, and it isn’t long before he begins rethinking his old beliefs.
Fans of Blakely will love this because not only is it an adorable and sexy novella in its own right, but it also includes some favorites from the series - Miller and Ally. This is a sweet little valentine story about Macy and Kirby who were side characters in the Heartbreakers series. Kirby sings duets with his sister, Ally. Macy works for them as their manager.
Kirby is jaded about holidays and especially about Valentine's Day since he feels like it has brought him nothing but bad luck. He is funny, smart, but kind of grumpy and introverted. Macy is his complete opposite. She is perky, positive, extroverted, and adores all holidays to the extreme.
They are good friends, but each have been harboring crushes and they have no clue how the other really feels. They are both afraid of losing their friendship.
Will paper hearts and cupid's arrows this Vday finally inspire one of them to make a move out of the friend zone or will it just be another ho-hum holiday?

Once Upon A-Red Hot Kiss was a great quick read by Lauren Blakely. This is a Heartbreakers short story. Kirby and Macy are best friends, so in Jiirby's mind, she's off limits. It doesn't help that they're also complete opposites. Kirby hates Valentine's Day and Macy is determined to change his mind. I enjoyed this quick read and can't wait to read more by the author.

I really loved Once Upon A Red Hot Kiss. Short, sweet and sexy novella performed by Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke. So much hotness packed into this little novella.

Wow
Loved this quick story of love and Valentine’s Day. Friends to lovers. They both knew in their hearts that they wanted each other, but crossing that line into lovers is a big gamble. With family and friends encouraging them they made it and had a HEA. A great read.

Once Upon a Red Hot Kiss is Macy and Kirby's story. They were secondary characters from the Heartbreakers series and I loved them and I'm so glad they got a story. It's short, sweet and oh so sexy
