I only read this because it was free in a newsletter and I'm not sure why I even bothered. I have tried reading Kitty before and her books are pure erotica and sex, no story or anything, which I guess some people like, but c'mon, even the writing was bad and the sex was boring.

This was a quick read with dark and paranormal elements. Honor wakes up in a basement surrounded by five men that are brothers. They live in a mansion (of course...) and she has to choose a different brother to spend each night with, with the weekends being shared amongst all of them. Most of the brothers treat her affectionately. I mean, apart from the fact that she was drugged, kidnapped and held against her will. Only one brother, the ringleader, seems hellbent on punishing and training her. Honor doesn't know why she's there, only that they won't let her go and that she'll be staying forever. Fortunately for her captors, she's no family to speak of and no close connections with anyone.
As each brother has eyes that glow golden at times and faster than normal reflexes, she pieces together that something isn't quite right in the neighbourhood. Each one of them, when it's their night with her, bites Honor and she immediately submits and becomes highly aroused - super convenient. We then have her begging them to satisfy her, I'm assuming to lessen the fact that it's sexual assault. After each night, she's made to kneel before the brothers in the basement where they recount their escapades of the night before and they talk about claiming her and a ritual. If you haven't guessed it already, the story has paranormal elements so if that's not your thing, you've been told.
As you can probably tell from the general gist of the story, it's pretty explicit in parts and the brothers each call her pretty derogatory terms even though she's apparently very special and important to them. I rated it three stars because the story line was pretty repetitive. Honor chooses a brother, checks out their room and describes it and how it's different to the other ones, is pleasured all night after being initially resistant, has a different experience with each brother, keeping the fantasy going for readers and then the events pretty much repeat the next day. There's a bit of an attempt at darker themes with some restraint and toys being used.
The fact that she was aroused and got over the fact she was kidnapped was pretty much ridiculous to me and stopped it from being a darker read but if you're looking for something a bit different and want to escape, this probably won't worry you. I found Honor being so desperate for sexual release too over the top and cliche for me, especially with the range of toys, positions, brothers' looks, etc. that were designed to tick a different box in the fantasy stakes. Obviously there's a bit of sharing in this book, ending in a bit of a group event as well as some voyeurism and while that didn't t worry me, it didn't draw me in, either. To be fair, the book was a novella so it might have been too short for me to really get into and the writing was solid so I'd probably try this author again depending on the story line.

I have no apology for loving this short story. It's dark (but not too dark, and not as dark as I can take). LOTS of HOT sex scenes. Love the heroine, Honor. I also LOVE Ms. Thomas' writing style. The inner monologue-ing of the heroine in her stories, she's always smart and practical. I'm off to continue reading more by this author.
This is a master/slave erotica. If you don't like that then this is not recommended for you.

Leave it to this author to write a novella that is very different than I first anticipated. It was dark and also sexy. I wasn't expecting the twist at the end of why they wanted Honor. I would have liked this more if there had been a deeper understanding of the background and the why. I really wanted to understand why Honor had been chosen. This premise was unique and had it been fleshed out more I would have liked it even more.

I enjoyed this short strange but sexy story. The direction it was going became abundantly clear after several things happened. It's a little bit taboo and dark because the heroine was "shared." I'll let you figure that one out on your own.

Perhaps more like 3.5 stars than a true 4 but I enjoyed it enough that I’m rounding up. I wasn’t totally sure about this story at first but by the end, part of me was totally like ‘so where’s the sequel?’ It was relatively short but more or less felt complete.

This is a good novella about paranormal shifters. The h is kidnapped and made to please 5 guys with the intent of them impregnating her during a ritual. I wish she would’ve fought the alpha a little bit more, but since it’s a short story, I’ll take what I can get. All in all, I enjoyed the short story.

A quick hot read. I didn't enjoy this one as much as some of the authors other works as it seemed a bit repetitive to me. However, if you are after a short quick steamy read you may enjoy.

This book is about a woman who wakes up to find that she's been kidnapped by five men who are going to keep her as their sex slave. But is there more to them that just wanting a fuck toy?
This was a quick read a lot shorter than most of Kitty's books. It has Honor spending a night with each of the five men leading up to the final night where they have a ritual to impregnate her because they are wolf shifters. I liked some of the guys and didn't care for some others but I feel like if I had had more time to get to know them maybe I would have liked some of the better. There isn't a lot of plot in this story it's supposed to be hot and steamy and it delivers. It didn't have the twisty ending that Kitty Thomas is know for because it was pretty obvious a couple chapters in that the men were shifters. But as a shifter novella it was good and I enjoy it. It's definitely worth it to take a quick break in between whatever you're reading to give this story a try.

It is short which is part of what saved it for me. It’s been quite awhile since I read a paranormal romance, but I liked that aspect of it.
In the beginning I had forgotten the paranormal part and thought it may be a little too dark for me, but the story moves along at a good pace and it didn’t take me long to be on board with the “whys” of how things were happening.
It’s a short, easy read, one of the better edited books I’ve read in awhile and I appreciated the opportunity to try out an author who was new to me!

Short novella about Honor, a loner working at a bar. One night after the bar closes and she is walking to her car, she feels a sting and passes out. When she awakes, she is gagged, blindfolded and at the mercy of 5 men. What is their intent? Are they going to kill her? This is one of the best stories I have read in quite some time - one I will definitely re-read. Hot, steamy, sexy - dream material! If you haven’t read Kitty Thomas’s books, start with this one. You will be hooked!

1st reading: Only 4 stars because there's not a lot of plot or character development here lol. But otherwise, another well written piece of prose from Kitty Thomas.
The female character wakes up naked, bound, blindfolded, and gagged after being abducted from her place of work. A group of five men claim she is theirs now, and she assumes she is being held as their sexual slave, and indeed the house she's in is in the middle of nowhere and secure against her being able to escape. However, apart from the leader, the men treat her well as if she is cherished. But there is a certain strange undercurrent as they each take daily turns "claiming" her and marking her. The men don't seem quite human...
I wish Kitty had taken more time with this story.

Three Words is about five alpha brothers who have captured Honor to become their sex slave. She was taken from her world against her will and forced to obey their commands.
This was a short paranormal erotic novella with five alpha males and one human female. There were six chapters with each one describing a graphic sex scene.
I’ve come along way in my reading journey. Had I read this six years ago I might’ve enjoyed it more. As I get older my interest in graphic sex scenes dissipates. I no longer look for these types of books or novellas.
It’s written well. Each chapter was kind of repetitive. The sex act was different but the outcome was the same.

I received this novella that was included in a newsletter for free. The synopsis had me intrigued, however the story itself was lacklustre. There was no depth to the characters, which meant no connection. It was pretty obvious this was about shifters from the outset, although there was nothing to suggest it from the blurb. To be fair it’s not my usual genre of choice. The sex scenes left me unfulfilled and wanting so much more.

This novella promised to be dark and scary, but other than the opening premise, it was fairly tame. That premise - non-con via kidnapping - is serious, and if that's a trigger, you should pay attention.
The rest of the story was a medium hot reverse harem with one nice surprise. A lot of sexy things happen, but the writing wasn't as intense as KT can be.
I'm choosing to call this a one-off anomaly, and I will read more books by this author.

Wow wow wow wow wow. I love this book. I would love to see this story continue. The men were amazing. I can’t say much because it was a short story and I honestly don’t want to ruin anything for anyone. Just. Read it and you will see. It is hot!!! The chemistry is off the charts and be ready for a long cold shower if that will even work.

The author gave a copy of this too hot for amazon read. Five men ...Archer, Declan, Rafe, Cade, and Eric kidnap and force a girl to choose who she wants for the night. Elements of Dom/sub and paranormal aspects ensue. Definitely too hot for Amazon. I enjoyed it.
