For one terrorist, it's the opportunity of a lifetime.

He is a terrorist mastermind, and a mystery to Western intelligence.

But he’s no mystery to Atcho.

The two men have a score to settle with one another—and in a global game of cat and mouse, only one will prevail.

Armed with a weapon of mass destruction and fueled by his hatred of the West, the terrorist intends to kill as many people as possible...unless Atcho finds him first.

If Atcho succeeds, he will prevent a nuclear attack.

A Chechen ex west German secret policeman and Muslim terrorist has gotten hold of a suitcase nuclear bomb and has created 4 more with the intent on carrying on a Jihad. He has a long standing grudge against an American who goes by the name of Atcho and who is called in to track him down.
The terrorist, "Klaus" has a large stash of money and he uses the middle eastern organization of money men to move it around off the books so to speak. The hunt goes from Germany to the Gulf war and Kuwait and finally to to the US with action along the way.

This book is in the series of Atcho’s adventures but it can easily be a stand-alone novel. It raises questions about the true reason behind Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990. In the story Russian who is backing Iraq is aware the invasion has failed. Ex Stassi agent Klaus is on a mission to kill Atcho and his wife as revenge for the death of his brother. He also as a suitcase full of warheads and is willing to use this nuclear force to tip the balance in favour of the Muslim believers in Jihad. A terrifying prospect. Lee Jackson writes great books and this one is up there too.

I received an advanced copy of this book for review purposes. As I began reading I feared it was just a rehash of the previous Atcho adventures with all the same people and same issues. Fortunately I found enough new and different to pique my curiosity and keep me engrossed. Sofia and Atcho are going to be parents, and that adds a whole new set of wrinkles as Atcho is lured back into service to act as bait for the terrorist who got away in the last book. The action is well-described and believable, and the tension is high at the end. The terrorist called Klaus is equipped with five nuclear bombs and a substantial fortune as he attempts to seek revenge on Atcho and destroy the great Satan. With the help of other Muslims, he carries his fight into Texas to eliminate Sophia and Atcho, and seed the destruction of the American economy. The suspense carries on to the very end, but I warn you we will see more of Klaus.

I received an advanced copy of Fahrenheit Kuwait, which is the next in the series of Atcho’s adventures. The series take the reader through historic events with Atcho as a lead character. The story line sparks curiosity about the true history of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. I highly recommend.

In this book, Atcho is called back into service to find Klaus who escaped Berlin with the nuclear bomb suitcase in the last book. The chase leads him and his friend, Major Joe Horton, from Germany to Greece to Kuwait and the USA. You are kept guessing to the end whether the bomb will explode, whether Klaus will be captured, whether Atcho and Sofia will survive.

This book can easily be a stand-alone novel if you have not read the previous works. Lee Jackson is an excellent story teller and I would recommend Curse the Moon, Rasputin’s Legacy and Vortex: Berlin if you have not already read them.

Lee Jackson gets better and better. And the plot could definitely be tomorrow’s headline. Russian nuclear fuel gets into the hands of a Muslim terrorist. The story is centered about the military reponse to Saddam Husein, the 1990 Desert Shield and Desert Storm, and a Chechan terrorist with a suitcase nuke. This specific terrorist, Klaus is a former German secret service agent before the fall of the Berlin wall, who during the chaos of the fall of the Berlin wall is able to sneak away with duffel bags on money and a couple small nuclear weapons. And of course this Chechan terrorist has a personal grudge with Jackson’s hero – Atcho. The action is great, and the plot moves very fast around the entire globe, from Germany, to the Middle East, to Greece, and the US. And of course, the bad guy is very evil, and an excellent counterpoint to the “good guys”, centered around the Atcho character. And indeed Jackson’s unique talent is blending his fiction into the real history.

Fahrenheit Kuwait, the latest installment in the Atcho narrative, is Lee Jackson's best work yet. The story takes place with the backdrop of Operation Desert Storm and ranges from Berlin to Texas to Kuwait as Atcho and his team try to locate and stop Klaus, a Chechen terrorist armed with a suitcase nuclear weapon. Klaus proves to be a worthy adversary who always seems to stay one step ahead in this deadly cat and mouse game. This was a great read that left me anxiously awaiting the next installment.
