3 1/2 Second Chance OTT stars

This was a short, sweet, and steamy intro to the Rainbow Canyons Cowboys series featuring the baby sister (with 4 over protective alpha male brothers to be featured in upcoming stories in this series) and her eldest brother's best friend who briefly lived with the family on the ranch but has been away for several years as his bull riding career skyrocketed.

Emily has had a crush on Logan since she first met him when her big brother Silas brought him home to stay with them for awhile. Logan always had a way with the women, and Emily was too young at the time to attract his attention in any other way than as the "little sister of my friend who tags along sometimes." For the last several years, he has made a name for himself as one of the best bull riders in the industry, but at 44, he is preparing to hang up the spurs and settle down, so he returns to his hometown to be with the family he considers his own since they took him in when he was a kid with nowhere else to go. What he isn't prepared for is the sight of little Emily... all grown up. Not only did she blossom into a gorgeous curvy woman, but she is smart and motivated as well. After being in her presence for only a few minutes, he is determined to have her one way or another.

When Logan interrupts the meeting Emily is holding with her brothers about the charity bull riding event she's coordinating to raise funds for a worthy cause, her heart leaps and her hormones go haywire... the same effect he has had on her since she can remember. When he starts to hint that he might be interested and flirts back, she is worried that he might be thinking she's another conquest to be had, and she is afraid to put her heart on the line.

Will Logan be able to convince Emily that she's the one for him? What will happen when a very determined ex tries to insert herself back into his life? And if he can convince Emily to take a chance on him, will her very protective brothers ever allow an older man to carry their baby sister off into the sunset?

Overall, this was a fun, light, and steamy read. It was a little over the top with the instalove (especially on Logan's end), but it was cute and worth the read.
(Note that there were a few grammatical mistakes, but not too distracting.)

This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this short introduction into the series. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book.

Emily is the youngest of the family and being the only girl her four big brothers are very protective of her, she is running a charity event at the family ranch when her life long crush Logan returns, thinking that years that have past will have cured her of her unrequited feelings she is shocked to discover that they are as strong as they ever were and with the way he is looking at her there may be more than just friendship. But he has been a well known playboy in the past can she trust his feelings for her are true?

Logan is back in his hometown, his grandmothers health is deteriorating and after the way that she has always cared for him its his time to repay the favour. Hearing of the Charity event he asks if he can participate in the Bulk Riding event after all that's what he made his name doing but one look at Emily all grown up he suddenly has a new reason to move home, she is everything he could ever dream of but will his past come back to haunt him and destroy what they should have and will her big brothers approve?

This was a great introduction to the series and I am looking forward to reading more.

If I could give negative stars I would. What the fuck.

-less than 24 hours before they fuck
-Drama with the ex on the SAME day
-She runs away, he follows, they makeup
-They decide to move in together same day
-8 month timeskip to their wedding & she is pregnant

Even haunting Adeline was better than this. Wow. I can't wrap my head around how bad this was. Everyone who rates more than 1 star needs to read a real book.

What will happen when sparks fly between her and her brother’s best friend? This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, steamy chemistry and great characters. I liked it.

Extremely juvenile novella. Are we really supposed to like a lusting 44 yr old 'uncle '? He just pounces on the girl , who he has always considered to be an irritating baby sis of his best friend. 6 yrs later he can't stop pawing her. Ugh! And what does the writer mean when she says they took the h in when his parents turned him out? He was 34 at that time, and definitely capable of looking after himself.
Please be kind to yourself and spare your sensibilities.

Emily has had a crush on her oldest brother’s best friend for years. When Logan comes back into her life she realizes that crush is still as intense as it was when Logan left home. Logan is ready to retire from professional bull riding. He goes back to his hometown to participate in a charity event and realizes that cute little Emily is all grown up... and HOT! The book is a novella, so everything moves fast. Logan and Emily have good chemistry and it’s a fun read. The story is a bit predictable and there were some editing errors that messed with the flow of the story. Hopefully those get fixed before final publication. This book won’t change your life (my personal opinion) but it did make for an enjoyable afternoon.

Emily grew up with four brothers, three older and one younger. Then, there is Logan. Silas, her eldest brother’s best friend. There is fifteen years difference between her and him. It never stopped her from crushing on him and neither did her curves.

When she was a teen she hated her curves. Because her soft squishy curves never got Logan to look at her. At least not the way he did the girls that were no good for him. But when he left the ranch to go on the rodeo circuit to be a bull rider she thought he was gone for good.

Now, at twenty-nine, he’s back. With his eyes locked and loaded on her. He knows curves like hers are what he likes and hers. And she feels like home. He needs to convince her and break it to the family. Easy-peasy.

A hot sexy quick read that is a brother's best friend romance , Logan's return to his hometown didn't prepare him for his feelings for Emily Walker his best friends sister , but with 4 older protective brothers and his ex to contend with will they get their HEA , a fun sexy read , the storyline flows easily from page to page with the great characters , drama , some steam and more , highly recommend this book

I really enjoyed this fast-paced quick to read novella, the brothers best friend/older man story was sweet and steamy. Emily has been attracted to Logan since he first came home with her brother. Now, he's realised what was in front of him the whole time and he refuses to let anything get ina their way. Entertaining story, characters were incredibly likable, plenty of steam.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

Plot: Logan is Emily's older brother's best friend. He's been gone for a while with his rodeo career, but he's back now and Emily still has a massive crush on him. He's seeing her in a new light now and will just have to convince her that what he feels is real.

Commentary: It's so funny how a guy can date - extensively - a certain type of woman and then when he's ready to settle down, all of a sudden, his type is no longer his type. Would drive me crazy if I were Emily, but I guess it's a case of learning from his mistakes.

Even though the hero and heroine already knew one another, the romance lacked any build up. Hero comes back to town, and two minutes later they're in bed together - without any foreplay.
Lazy use of "the curvy heroine is good/skanky thin beautiful ex girlfriend is bad" trope.

It's a classic rom-com where the playboy transforms into the good guy, complete with the quintessential mean girl vying for his attention. As the family is having a meeting Logan knocks on the front door. Logan is Silas (elder brother) best friend and his adopted family took him in long ago but he's been gone making a career for himself as a Bull Rider but he's back in town and is ready to help out the family as needed. Emily is flabbergasted and tongue tied as Logan and Emily eyes connect from across the room. Emily has been crushing on Logan since she was a little girl. Logan can't believe how grown up Emily has become with her gorgeous eyes voluptuous curves accentuated by the tight jeans she's wearing and her shirt tied at the waist showing a bit of tummy with the buttons on her shirt open revealing a little cleavage. He's feels all the blood is headed south at that moment thank goodness he's seated at the table to obstruct what's happening in his pants 😆. Fast paced storyline with likeable characters that come to life and keep you intrigued and turning the pages rapidly and rooting for their HEA

Short and sweet!
Logan Childs has just returned home after being away for six years while he pursued his bull riding championship status. He’d planned to retire from bull riding during the summer but when e learned that the Walker family was backing a bull riding competition with the proceeds going to charity, he came back six months early just to help their cause. Imagine Logan’s surprise when he sees Emily Walker, the younger sister of his best friend, Silas, who is the same age as Logan who is 44. Logan sets his sights on Emily, even though she is 15 years younger. There are no real surprises in this book’s storyline, however, the author K. C. Crowne managed to keep my interest with the developing relationship between the main characters with their sexual chemistry and romance, and Logan’s determination to go after what he wants. There are plenty of opportunities for future books with Emily’s brothers, Silas, Wyatt, Chance and Travis as well. The epilogue does hold a nice surprise for a HEA.

Coming home and discovering your future was right in front of you all along

Untamed Cowboy is book one in the Rainbow Canyon Cowboys series. The series is about five Walker siblings, four boys and the one baby girl, who all run the family ranch. This fast paced novella is about Emily Walker and Logan Childs. He has come back home to retire from his professional bull riding career. He is also her older brother Silas's long time best friend. Their story is sweet and fun with a bit of drama added in with the chemistry. When Emily was younger she had a very big crush on Logan. Now that he is back she is not sure what to say or do. Meanwhile Logan is basically struck dumb when he sees Emily again as she has grown into a beautiful young woman. Their attraction to each other is instant but their age difference may cause more than a few eyebrows to be raised, let alone the issue that her brother's will pose.
This book also introduces the four Walker brothers - Silas, Wyatt, Chance and Travis. Each of these brothers will be getting their own story which will be interesting as they are all characters in their own right.

Quick and Sweet

This was a fairly quick read...a good example of short and sweet, literally.

When Logan returns to his hometown and his adopted family, he wasn't expecting to fall for his best friend's little sister, Emily.

When Emily Walker sees her childhood crush, Logan, she realizes her old feelings are still there...but can she trust the retired rodeo star with her heart? After all, she'd had a ringside seat for most of his bad boy behavior.

This was a really sweet story. Not very steamy, but romantic. I absolutely LOVED Logan. And so far, I really like the Walker boys. However, I can't stand women (in this case, Emily) whose self-esteem seems so low that they constantly compare themselves to other women and can't believe a man would possibly want them. I also can't stand when people (Emily, again) see something disturbing, but rather than confront the issue to verify if what they saw was real and accurate, they walk away heartbroken and defeated. UGH. It's kinda like a bad Hallmark romance movie. (Who am I kidding? I love Hallmark romance movies!)

Emily is trying to promote a big event for her family for charity. Logan is coming home to be closer to his grandmother to take care of her. He hears about their event and wants to join it. When he shows up Emily is stunned to see him but he is totally entranced by how beautiful Emily looks. He doesn't take long to let her know that he wants her. But Emily knows that he was a playboy and isn't sure if she should chance her heart with him. When Logan thinks he is losing Emily he doesn't even care if her brothers know about them being together. Will Emily see that she's the only woman for him?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A crush that could never go anywhere because not only was he 15 years older but he was also her brothers best friend. Logan is stunned when he meets Emily again he cannot believe how she has grown and he is fighting his attraction to her a fight that he loses. Can they have a future together when she has four protective older brothers and he has an ex that is determined that he will be hers again. You will have to read to see if they have a future and then wait for the four brothers stories

What a fun and sexy story! Everything in this book just flowed, was very natural. Emily and Logan have known each other for a long time, since her big brother Silas is Logan's best friend. He's about 15 years older than her, and is unprepared to be swept off his feet when he sees her again for the first time in six to seven years. Very quickly, Logan realizes that all the qualities he's long admired in Rose - her loving nature, her independence, her down to earth attitude- all combine with her beautiful curvy self to make her the woman he didn't know he was searching for. And Emily, well, she's been in love with Logan for years.

This is a short novella. Emily is almost thirty and lives with her four brothers and mother on their ranch. While sitting around one night, an old friend of her eldest brother’s came home, Logan. She has always had a crush on him~ Logan came home after riding the rodeo circuit for many many years. He is back home to retire and care for his grandmother. He spots Emily and immediately knows he wants her. He enters the charity rodeo she runs and wins. While she is on her way to him, his ex comes along and plants one on him! Emily sees this and believes they are back together…are they? She takes off and Logan has no idea where she went to or why! Will they find their HEA?
