A Sacred Magic
Ember’s about to face the showdown of her life…

Things are coming to a head with the Tuathan Brotherhood, and Ember finds herself right on the front lines. The goddess Brighid calls in her favor, sending Ember on a journey through the world of Annwn. Her quest? To find an ancient weapon that can turn the tide in the war against Nuanda and the Tuathan Brotherhood.

But as Ember journeys to the Well of Tears, she must face not only the demons that inhabit the mystical forest, but her demons that haunt her blood heritage. Can she recover Brighid’s Flame and put an end to the Tuathan Brotherhood? If she succeeds, Ember must face an enemy unlike any other she’s ever battled. But, if she fails, the Brotherhood will permanently destroy the delicate balance of power between the Fae Courts and the rest of the world.

One of the best in the series! Ember becomes more astute and powerful with every book, but she remains true to herself even when huge challenges are put in her path. She went through a lot in this installment, and I’m eager to see how she deals with what she learned. This is a fascinating world rooted in Celtic mythology, and it’s sure to appeal to urban fantasy fans looking for a new and vibrant universe to embrace.

I so enjoy this series and have done from the start. This is another fabulous instalment in the series. It is best if you have read the preceding stories but it's no chore! In this installment Ember and Raven take a day trip to visit the realms of both the light and dark fey so Ember can complete (or try to complete, as the case may be) tasks Morgana has set for her. Ember ends up learning more than she thought she would, and confronting some of her assumptions and biases head on. It's great to watch her develop on her own like this, with Raven there in the background to support her. Also in this book is the quest Ember must complete for the goddess Brighid. It's interesting to see how she uses the powers of both her light fey and dark fey heritages, the powers she's spent previous books discovering and developing. Again after reading this book I can't wait for the next one in the series.

Good

Ember must go on a hunt for a weapon, the only weapon that can end the terrorist group the Tuan Brotherhood.
With a more dangerous foe on the rise, it is imperative that the brotherhood be ended before this new enemy comes, and it’s Ember’s fate to be the cause.
With Herne by her side, and helping her train, Ember knows she has to do what she can…

Another riveting addition to the series, with lots of danger, action, adventure, and a little romance to round it all out.
A solid and enjoyable urban fantasy from Ms. Galenorn, this needs to be read in series order since it builds on all of Ember’s story so far. Not that this is a hardship, urban fantasy enthusiasts will certainly enjoy the rich world the author has created!
A must for urban fantasy fans.

I will start out by saying that I started the first book in this series exactly 6 weeks ago today and this series is seriously addictive! The character development is well done and I feel like I am truly getting to know the characters and their relationship with each other. I enjoy the quick read but seriously, if ever Yasmine wanted to release extended versions I would eat it up. Actually, if you are reading this, Yasmine, I would be happy to beta read!

My only critique is that I wish Yasmine could find a way to weave the Raven and Ember books into one and not separate them into different books. I feel a disconnect between them reading it all separately. I know it is a lot more work to write them together but I believe it would be a much better overall flow. I still give it 5 stars!

Much love for Ember and her found family

I have loved all of Yasmine's books that I have read and am still trying to get them all read. I love Embrr and her found family and of all her stories I think I most connected to her here and when she went through the Cruharach. I have always felt apart from things and have tried to reconcile the different aspects of me and my families. I only stand with certain members who like me didn't fit the expected mold. Found family is so important. I like seeing how they rally around her and have her back like she does theirs. I look forward to seeing more of her and Angel's growth.

This is not a book to start with, it is part of an arc that should be read from the beginning. If you’ve read the series up to here, I’m sure you’re looking forward to this continuation of Ember’s fated meeting with Nuanda, just as I was. There are several major developments in the storyline that are exciting, some unexpected, some inevitable. Ember continues to grow in skill and confidence as she is supported by the Wild Hunt and her patron gods as she defeats Nuanda. Next, they will face the greater darkness of Typhon when he awakens.

A Sacred Magic was fun to read and The Wild Hunt and Ember is sent on a mission to Annwn. She is to obtain a weapon that can help fight the Brotherhood. Will Ember be able to complete her task?

I love how Ebers powers, Leannan Sidhe, are growing and she is recognizing when it happens to her along with her sidekicks. With each book we see more of each character and their personalities come through. This one an incredible world that has been created.

Series comment

I've enjoyed the story enough to be on book 9!
My only complaint is the editing, or better said, the lack of proofreading. It's so bad it's distracting. At the end you find a section call Qualify Control followed by "This work has been professionally edited and proofread." 🙄

Rite of passage

Our heroine has her hands full in this one, first she has to go thru her right of passage & then she has to undertake the path the Fates set for her. With her friends and family playing the supporting roles, our heroine struggles with her own insecurities. The overall ARC advances but at least one pressing problem is put to rest.

Not what I expected....

This story didn't go like I expected but it was wonderful. The story built and built with an entertaining climax and I can't wait to see how things go for Ember next. I'd love to see more of the Fae cities and who knows - maybe I'll get my wish!

The series is getting quite interesting. Ember is coming to terms with her powers and getting stronger, while learning how to use them. She defeated one baddie but there is a worse one coming. What is going to happen next

Ember is chosen by fate to fight Nuanda

To save Ember from being killed along with her parents, the gods asked the Fates to make her a champion of the Fae.

Ember and the Wild Hunt are facing the Tuathan Brotherhood and Ember herself is finding that she will be in the front lines in the final battle with this terrorist group. When Brighid calls in her favor, Ember finds herself on a journey in the world of the Annwn to find a weapon that will turn the tide into the favor of the Wild Hunt and forever break the hold Nuanda, Leader of the Tuathan Brotherhood has on the group. But the journey Ember must take is fraught with peril, danger and more in an ancient, mystical forest. Ember not only has to battle the darkness that inhabits the forest but also the demons that continue to haunt her to this day. The question is can she find the fabled Brighid’s Flame and put the end of the Tuathan Brotherhood? For if she falls, the Brotherhood will destroy the balance between the Fae Courts and the world.

Wow, Wow, Wow is all I can say in the next installment of the Wild Hunt series from one of my favorite authors, Yasmine Galenorn. She weaves a story that will rock your socks off and leave you guessing right up to the end when the climatic ending comes to head. The series is best read in order to get the full scope of the why the characters got to this point and there is a few twists that just blew me away. I won’t get into them as I don’t want to spoil the surprises for those who haven’t read it yet. What I love about this author is that her stories are so well written, filled with multidimensional characters that just blow me away with their continued growth within the series. Her characters and the world building this author is known for make it one of the best series of the author’s that I have fallen in love with bar her famed Otherworld series which ended early this year after over 20 books. The Wild Hunt series is newer series that just rocks with a set of characters that will leave you wanting to meet them and storylines that really grab you right from the beginning. Each book in the series just capitalizes on past books and I love how the author weaves these storylines together into a larger plot that is slowly making its way to the readers in little bits here and there. A SACRED MAGIC reveals some interesting plot twists that were hinted in a past book or two ago and went into a little bit more detail about what may happen in future books. I know I am not the only one of this author’s fans to say, ‘MORE! MORE!’.

A SACRED MAGIC was read in one sitting and I was lost within the story of Ember, Hearne and the gang of the Wild Hunt. I loved every bit of the story and fell more in love with the group even more as they faced their toughest foe yet. The author weaves a perfect Autumn spell around the reader with A SACRED MAGIC and I, for one, am eager to see where the next book, The Eternal Return (out in December 2019) will lead the Wild Hunt next and just what the revelations from A SACRED MAGIC will lead to next.

If you are looking for a sexy, action packed paranormal series to devour, then I can not recommend Yasmine Galenorn’s books enough to people. They are fun, entertaining and quite possibly very addicting. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next for her readers to gobble up.

Long series, but worth it

I first started following Ms. Galenorn because of an 18-book series. While that series was amaaaaazing (Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon), I promised to myself I wouldn't read such long series again, because the wait between books is killing me. However, since Ms. Galenorn went indie and has complete control over her releases, I have loved getting into each new universe she creates. This one is my favorite, with Ember being a wonderful main character that I can't get enough of. This book finally shows us a more established Ember, in the sense that she knows more about who she is, what she needs and where she"s going. I can't wait to see more about that in the next book!

The ending and beginning

Spoilers ahead

This was a great continuation of the series. We finally see the conclusion of the brotherhood while starting into a new uprising evil! I love how Embers character has grown and developed. I hope that she ends up being a goddess, it would be fitting with the way to series is going. So much happened in this book and I hope this means we are going to see the other character's stories get played out more now that we have issues that Angel is going to be dealing with and also Talia. Cant wait for the next one. I recommend that you preorder the next one because shit is getting real.

Great writing and story development

I now better understand the previous two books in this series. Yasmine is weaving an intricate story and needs us to understand more detail about certain characters. I can't wait for the next one. Ember gives a whole new meaning to being a bad ass. I see parallels to today's world in the challenges faced around race. I like the appendices where she reviews cast of characters and timelines. I will review book 9 before starting book 10 to make sure I don't miss anything.

A classic Galenorn. Good plot, but I'm glad to be finished with the Tuathian Brotherhood story. I appreciate the ideals and puts forward, but they often come across as cheesy, especially the wrap up at the end of the book. Three stars instead of four due to lack of editing which I'm noticing more and more in her books. She often repeats the same idea in almost the exact same sentence within a few pages, and it becomes tedious.

Love, love, love this series!

I read and enjoy everything that Yasmine Galenorn writes. This is my favorite series so far. I don't do spoilers so no worries about that, but I am really liking the relationship between Ember and Herne. Thank you for such great writing so that I can escape my everyday world and dive happily into yours!

There was a lot going on in this one. Ember gearing up for a big fight, but once it happened it seemed a bit anti-climatic. It was more fun seeing everyone at Wild Hunt help her get ready. The one good thing that seemed to come out of things was that Ember seems more secure in herself and her powers.

Love love loved this book. Could not put down and finished it in no time as usual with one of these amazing books by Yasmine. It moves along at a great pace leaving you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen. The story flows along great and sets up the way for the next book. This book is a must read, no doubt about it. Need more Ember for sure.

Utterly captivating

I have really enjoyed all the previous Wild Hunt books and this is no different. It is best if you have read the preceding stories but it's no chore!

In this Ember's journey continues, fighting against the enemies of the Fae, but she also makes a major discovery about a greater problem.
