He grew up reading and playing a plethora of sports, hoping to become a professional at the latter. When that failed, he switched his focus to mathematics, which he still does.

This book is a lot of fun! I immediately became attached to the characters, and Vincent's use of their multiple points of view quickly immersed me in this world. I don't read a ton of fantasy fiction, but Vincent's comfort with storytelling really pulled me in. My favorite novels are those that transport me to another world and way of being, and Vincent nailed it, leaving me wanting to know more about this time and place. His imaginative spin on a fascinating story kept me engaged from start to finish, and I already cannot wait for the next installment of this series.
