💭Dry emotions, logical love, and my own confusion💭
This book felt unlike anything I’ve read before. The emotions in the writing were dry, yet they made me recall so many old feelings of my own. It almost felt like the author was trying to approach something deeply emotional with logic. Maybe it’s my lack of experience in romantic love, but I couldn’t quite grasp what I was supposed to feel in stories like "체스의 모든 것" or "사장은 모자를 쓰고 온다" (Though they still provided me with a new perspective in love.)
Some lines felt paradoxical, like: “그것은 웃어넘길 해프닝에 지나지 않을 일이기는 했지만 또 그렇게 넘기기에는 뭔가 마음에 진동을 일으키는 사건이기도 했다.” I was left more confused than moved. Still, I’m willing to reread this book later, hoping that when I’m more ready, I’ll be able to fully catch the author’s meaning.
