The only one who can wind up the clockwork in your heart is yourself.
A 28-year-old child at heart, Takarako Tomita is a toy designer at the prestigious toy company Lorelai, located in Asakusa, Tokyo. For the last five years, she has been in love with Yuuya Nishijima, a freelance designer and subcontractor to Lorelai. However, Takarako can't seem to declare her love and instead works in the shadows, trying to solve all his problems, while he remains oblivious to her efforts. Eventually she'll have to face her true feelings—is she really okay with the way things are? Is she actually helping Nishijima, or is it all just for her self-satisfaction?
I picked this up randomly from a book crossing shelf and was pleasantly surprised. It takes some unexpected turns and it's not the fluffy love story you'd expect. I liked the idea of finding your inner child and being at peace with yourself, whether you find love or not. There's also some lesbian representation.
