When this first came out X number of years ago, it was so expensive for my high school self I couldn't buy it. But I waited ... and finally found it, I think(!), in the remainders bin at Borders.
I love it, as it evokes so many memories of my time in Greece and the love affair that resulted thereof. And the really cool thing is that both of my children, though traveled they've not yet been to Greece, love it as well!
The pop-ups are fun, and really quite amazing considering when they were created. A lesson or two (or 12) learned at the same time? All the better!
I have loved everything I could find on mythology especially Greek mythology and found Pandora's Box in the history section of a catalog of remainder books back in 1998. I love this book/kit for its illustrations, cut out masks of Hera and Zeus, board game, popups and little booklet that not only is about the myths and how they were created but also includes five poems based on Greek mythology. What a Treasure ! And it touches on three of my own interests mythology, art and poetry.I have not put the masks together and only one disc from the game is missing in my copy now but I kept it as a keep sake in as good condition as I could since I first received it. No one who loves Greek mythology or art will be disappointed with Pandora's Box. I highly recommend this book/kit.
