Having never rewatched an episode of The Office since bingeing all 9 seasons back in 2009, this book was a timely and indulgent trip down comedic-gold memory lane. With every character getting equal care and attention, interspersed with accurate season reviews, all I want to do now is settle in on the sofa and re-join my favourite paper company for a long-overdue tickle of my funny bone. There was a part in the book where it was about Angela and Dwight’s love affair. It said in the year of 2013 that Dwight was dating named Jessica. This is incorrect. Jessica was Andy’s girlfriend not Dwight’s. Dwight’s girlfriend was named Esther

This is a fun novelty/gift book for Office fans, one I personally wouldn't spend more than $5 on, but it's an engaging grab bag, with the added strength of having been published six years post-finale, so all seasons are represented. Its scrapbook-style collection includes things like:

-One-page summaries of each season (harder to streamline than you'd think)

-Actor profiles on some of the main cast

-Various snapshot entries with in-character writing which is fully a fanfic exercise and I support it (not all of them run true to voice, but some do. I particularly enjoyed "Kelly & Ryan's Guide to Dating," "How to Survive in HR" - minus the last sentence, wtf - and "Dressing For Success" with Andy)

-A few amusing recipes, only one of which is guaranteed edible

-Dwight & Angela's Love Timeline

-A History of Dunder Mifflin, and also A History of Schrute Farms, complete with an extra page of TripAdvisor reviews for the latter

-An Agony Aunt-style "Ask Accounts" Q&A

-"A Day in the Life of Jan Levinson" circa early season 4 (waking hours: 10:55 AM until 5:30pm, when Michael gets home)

-A "what's your management style?" quiz, based on the behavior of four of the office's managers throughout the years, whose answer options are just so much fun to read through (particularly the ones that align with Robert California, which are funnier in print than he ever was on screen)

-The author's personal Top Ten episodes, which include some classics, like Casino Night and Dinner Party, but also two inexplicable choices that rank near the bottom of its 200 for me (Moroccan Christmas from season 5 and Pool Party from season 8. Season 8 actually would get rep in my own list, but it would be one of the glorious Florida episodes that I will defend to my dying day).

All in all, a fun coffee table book (of diminutive proportions) to flip through at random, or peruse for an hour or so.

Being a fan since it was on TV, I have read every book I can find about The Office. This one was fun, but I have to go with four stars because it incorrectly states that Jim and Pam had a second ceremony on the boat and that was the real ceremony, before the church, just shown in the montage of the church ceremony. It also fails to suggest "the secret is to undercook the onions" in Kevin's chili, which is a huge part of that scene. Still a fun read and the quiz at the end was actually challenging.

I brought this book to practice my English, I have to say that this book is easy to read. I love The Office and read this book was like a travel time to the moments where I was watching the show.

As an Office fan, I came across this book and thought great! This book will probably give me some additional facts and insights about the show. Not so much. The book had some basic information about actors, characters and season synopsis. This was all fine and good, but there were parts that had made up dialog between the characters, and it was just brutal to try and read. There was also a weird, “what kind of manager are you?” Quiz and some random recipes. Spend your time elsewhere.
