From the very beginning of this story, I knew it would be incredible. So much so, that I read it in one sitting being I just couldn't put it down. The story of Gray and Katherine (Kitty) will hold you captive from beginning to end! Katherine has her own bakery shop, and wasn't looking for any kind of a relationship being she just didn't have the time until Gray enters her life and throws her life into a tailspin. When they meet, boy do sparks fly!! You could just feel their emotions and know they belong together. Gray, a fire investigator, is determined to figure out who is setting all these fires to the local businesses, but when something happens to threaten their budding relationship, can they handle the aftermath?? And just when you think he has figured out who the arsonist is, BAM, this author throws in another plot twist and everything you thought goes right out the window! It literally kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who was committing these crimes! This authors words make you fall in love with Gray and Katherine so that they will forever be embedded in your very heart and soul. If you love stories with intrigue, romance, mystery, lust and love, then this book is for you! I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this author.

What a wonderfully captivating story. I was engulfed in this book from start to finish. It's very well written. Compliments to the writer, Dorothy Ewels. Keep blessing us with your phenomenal creations.

This book started off great, but by the time the main characters had gotten together I had already started losing interest in finishing it. I already knew who the main antagonist was and had even figured out the hints that the author was leaving for a plot twist later on in the story. I just wanted to skip right to the end and see if I had correctly guessed everything and how it would play out. I loved the main male character, but I really struggled with the main female character at times. She's also part of the reason that I grew disinterested. The ending helped me from giving this book a two star rating, but I'm still see sawing as I type this. I liked the side characters and hope that they get their own books in the future; specifically her mother, friend and the firefighter.
The poems in the beginning were very touching, and I just wanted to thank all of the firefighters, staff and their families that willingly sacrifice and put their lives on the line everyday.

When Fire Investigator, Grayson James approaches her, she can’t help the combustible attractions she feels towards him. Grayson is so intrigued with the sweet baker, that for the first time in a long time, he wants something more with a woman. Could Kitty be that woman? At the same time, Grayson is worried about the Arsonist, as something seems familiar about his modus operandi. What is he missing and is the suspect closer than he knows? When tragedy strikes, will it be the match that burns more than just the buildings? Ms Ewels has written more than just a romance story. She has given us a gripping suspense story, filled with criminal elements. And just when you think you have it all figured out, the plot twist throws you for a loop. She has woven a love story in between all the mayhem. Her characters are engaging and you will feel everything they endure. The pace of the story is perfect with more than enough climax and angst. The chemistry is explosive. Overall this was a wonderful story and Ms Ewels is definitely an author to keep a lookout for.

Katherine has a bakery that she stays focused on and pretty much just that. Then she meets Fire Investigator James and the attraction between the are on fire. But James is investigating the fires that the surrounding business that have been set. So James really shouldn't loose focus of finding the arsonist but Katherine is bringing out his interest like no other women.
This was a hot read that had a good drama story.

Kitty has a bakery in Kloofnek, an exclusive area of Cape Town, but gradually she's losing her neighbours as their buildings are burnt down. There's an arsonist around and Grayson is the fire investigator. He and Kitty meet and sparks fly, but both are busy with work.
There's someone after him, and you think you know who it's going to be, but you don't!
