Bird Forrester his happy with his life, he hadn't planned on the woman he took home for the night to become his one but every minute he spends with Summer Preston is another moment he realizes how lucky he is she walked into his life.

Summer needed a break, she loved her children dearly but a woman has needs and its been years since she took some me time. Meeting Bird she finds everything she is looking for. When a surprise comes to Bird's door though she steps up and Bird and Summer find themselves making long term plans that will change their lives forever.

Entertaining story. I thought this had a wonderful mixture of humor, surprise, and romance. Loved the dynamic of the Forrester family and really enjoyed Summer's family as they were introduced. Great read.

This was so sweet.
I had an absolute blast reading this.
I love how their relationship progresses. It’s so rushed, but you can feel the love and care they feel for each other, even after only 3 days mostly spent in bed.

There’s no time spent at the clubhouse in this book, so no OW/OM drama with the club girls, and no drama from outside the clubhouse, on that front, either.

This book starts a few days before the last book (‘Sonny’) ends on that cliffhanger that frustrated me to no end.
So the few things that were hinted at take about 25 ish percent to get to, but when we do get to them they’re handled fantastically and I was so happy after the wait.

Honestly, I was worried about how Summer would react when the things that happened go down, and the boys handle some things with their special brand of justice, but after a small freak out where she worries about her kids, she snaps right back out of it and just rolls with it all like a trooper.
I hate whiney FMCs, especially when they want to run away from the people trying to protect them the best they know how, so I was super happy to read that.

This book was so sweet and funny and totally sexy.
I love all the kids and their unique little personalities. I adore seeing all the big, bad bikers melt to marshmallows in the kids’ prescience. So precious.

This was just a big Win for me.
I love Bird. I love getting to see his brothers, again.
And after reading this book, I know I’ll never see or hear mention of ‘Big Bird’ ever again without smirking. (A little joke in the book that you’ll understand when/if you read it😉)

So good!
I can’t wait to see what the boys will be up to next. This author is so good at creating intrigue around a whole group instead of just one or a few couples.
I don’t think I wanna miss a single one.

Perfect!!

Ok, so I have read all of these books and the growth that this author has shown is amazing! Her stories are great. Her plots are creative and engaging. The first two books had me worried. Like I said before the authors ideas are amazing but with the first two books they lacked refining. They need some SERIOUS editing. But, this book and her previous book have been great! Really hit the mark and the editing is so much better. There was drama, there was humor that didn’t feel forced (the three little boys helped with that ;), and there was love. Yes, I would consider this an insta-love which I don’t normally like but although the circumstances were crazy it worked. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Couldn't read another second of this extremely repetitive, basic and awful insta everything book. The writing was very basic, the author constantly, as in three and four times per short page, says "I saw this and I saw that and I saw the other, and "I watched as... I watched as.. I watched as...". Unfortunately this entire thing is nothing but redundant, superfluous, repeated detail.

For example, the heroine thinks about the three guys she can see, one has brown hair, the next slightly more brown hair, the third guy almost black hair and has lickable arms. Her friend tells her that the one on the end is Bird, the one on the other end is Daughry, who is a furry teddy bear and the middle one is Clem. Then the friend introduces them aloud, telling the heroine this is Clem, this is Daughtry, and this is Bird. THEN we have to read the heroine thinking, the brown haired one is Daughtry, the furry teddy bear, the middle one is Clem and the last one is Bird, with the the lickable arms.

Seriously boring and irritating in the extreme to have to re-read the exact same detail four times in less than a minute! I was actually made angry by the waste of time. And it kept happeng, the next scene is her going out to his bike, reading her getting on his bike, then he thinks, "she came outside with me to my bike, I had her on my bike". Yeah we just read her thoughts saying the exact same thing

Tedious and mind numbing! Really awful. Then the insta everything made me close the book. Example, He thinks, "I was so hard that I was surprised I hadn't passed out from lack of blood flow to my brain" from her shaking his hand during their first second meeting each other and, "I nearly came in my jeans embaressing myself like a virgin as soon as she spoke the first time",. Again within the first minute he meets/sees her. Ridiculous and cringing.

Okay, let me say I read out of order, but I had to read Bird and Summer's book. I love the whole Forrester family. Summer and Bird met in a bar. Usually, not the start of a lasting relationship. Only this time it was. Something makes her walk out with Bird and that's the start of a very fun time!. Add in Summer's three boys ( her flock of birds), a surprise that Bird wasn't expecting, and then his family, the club, and Summer's momma and you can't help but be enthralled. Like all Cee Bowerman's books, there were times I had to laugh out loud. Another hit. Now I have to backtrack to Sonny! Enjoy, I did.

OMG BEAUTIFUL!

I have loved the Forrester brothers since Kale. Bird was my favorite and his story was the best. I laughed and cried. The way you portray them men and how much they love kids. I love it. I'm excited to read more of the The Kings & Knights. Keep writing because you blew it out of the park with this one. Simply amazing. I have never really been able to do a review before but I was finally able to. Thank you Cee Bowerman for such a beautiful story.

I really liked how Summer and Bird met and how they embraced the connection that they felt. Their weekend together was great and looked to be going strong when they were interrupted in an odd way. Summer really stepped up then, took a chance and went all in with Bird. From there their lives were crazy, all the kids, all the changes, all the chaos of making those changes so quickly. But every time something new came around, Summer and Bird were up for the challenge, the chaos ended up being background noise to them as they lived their lives together and happy.

Birds of a feather...

This book features Summer and Bird. Spoilerish content to justify rating.
I’ve read book 1 in this series and really enjoyed it. I skipped book 2 because of the characters. But coming into book 3, it didn’t seem like any real details were missed and it didn’t pose an issue for maintaining understanding in this book.
Summer and Bird meet, they realize what they have from the beginning and it’s full steam ahead.
There was a it too much intimacy in the early half of this book. When it happens so fast I usually love it because I dislike slow burns. But it happened in this book fast, YAY, but then it kept on and kept on over a few days with just little tidbits in between. At that point I was ready for the story to roll on.
The heroine, Summer, is another tall heroine. Single mother of three. Her deceased husband was more like a safe friend. Not a true love. So it didn’t create any issues of the whole dead spouse drama or angst. The kids aren’t in the book until later on and they’re pretty funny.
The H, Bird, gets a surprise while Summer is present and he handles it well. But at this point there are just TOO many fate and destiny referred to coincidences for it to be believable. I loved the fate part of her boys. But then it was just like okay, now this new character tying in...what are the odds? And Summer and Bird similar to Birds parents Martha and Smokey’s story....geez again what are the odds. While I really enjoyed it, I was also like okay now this is just getting to be a bit much. Some might like it piled on thick though.
This story didn’t have nearly the amount of violence or action of book 1. It was a much sweeter and fun story with a little bit of action.
I’m really looking forward to what this series holds in the future. I’m not sure I’m interested in the next book because I think it involves Grunt. But I’ll still grab it and at the least skim it. Then get excited about the other brothers stories to come and snatch them up.

This was the second read for me in this series by a new to me author. While I liked both characters and the storyline and I love a steamy read I would have liked a little more of a story.

The antagonist was interesting, H/h were good together I felt character development a tad weak. While I like insta love some of this wasn’t plausible.

I read Grunt before Bird, so I'm reading out of order. I find it so odd that in this book, Summer explains all about her mother (Shannon's) past to Bird, yet in Shannon's own book, Shannon never explains her own past to Grunt. Also, Summer makes reference to the club hunting for a man who's wanted by the FBI, but Bird never once said anything about that to her, so how did she know? Kale tells Summer that he will bring Rolo and Leon over to be with the children as if we are supposed to know that he's talking about his dogs, but he hadn't introduced Summer to Rolo and Leon previously nor even mentioned them, so how did she know what he was talking about?

I enjoyed the children, they are a hoot. I don't know if it was realistic for a mama to agree to marry a man who hadn't even met her children yet -- and for a man to agree to marry a woman without even meeting her three small kids. But even though the relationship went from zero to 100 so quickly (they decide to marry after spending one weekend together), Cee Bowerman somehow manages to make it work. Then they agreed to stop using condoms, so Summer knew there was a chance she might be pregnant, but she still drank so much that she couldn't walk properly? That's so careless.

I expected Bird's parents to be more suspicious of Summer because she was the one who told the CFS worker that they were engaged and that she was going to stay at home and take care of the kids. I thought Bird's parents would suspect Summer of trying to take advantage of Bird and get a free ride (no need to go out to work anymore). But instead they were grateful that she stepped in and helped Bird to keep his baby daughter. It was refreshing to see, but probably unrealistic...

Bowerman is very bad at the suspense/danger part of things. The conflict in the story comes from an external source -- the grandmother of the baby wants the child, but Bird was named guardian of the child in the late mother's will. The grandma sends thugs to kidnap the baby, but instead of kidnapping a 3-month-old female infant, they first tried to grab a three-year-old boy, then turn around and take a two-year-old boy instead? I saw no logic in this. I mean, you could clearly see you are not acquiring the correct target that you were sent to get. Not only that, the kidnappers don't even wait for a good opportunity but do the snatch out in the open when there are people around to try to stop them and make a commotion. What kind of kidnapper doesn't even try to be stealthy? Really ridiculous.

What I like about the two books I've read so far (Bird and Grunt) is that this series seems to focus more on family. There's hardly any MC action. It's lovely to see the family members supporting each other. I loved how everyone embraced Lark (the new baby) and Bird's brothers would vie for each other to have the chance to hold her and cuddle up with her. Bowerman writes great banter and dialogue. Her characters come to life on the page with personality. It's just that her plotting could use some help.

I wanted to really like this book. I’d been looking forward to Birds story and wondered who he’d end up with. I thought it would be Drea.

But no. It was Summer.

I felt like this book had a lot of nothing in it. Basic conversation and insta-love that takes insta-love to a new level. The span of the book is like a week! And in that time: met, surprise baby, surprise pregnancy, married … like what?!

I find it a little far fetched this one. I know it’s fiction but the more realistic makes the reader connect. This was just out of left field. And I did not feel the connection between these two. While Bird was a “good” guy, I felt it a little odd a mum of three boys would so willingly move herself into his house without even building a bond with their soon to be step dad first.

And the whole grandmother situation. Seriously? I know there are crazies out there but come on. She lost her daughter and behaved like a loonie. And that was all anticlimactic anyway.

A bit of a snooze fest.

I couldn’t finish

I think this is one of those books that either people love or they don’t. Then again it may just be me who doesn’t. I personally just couldn’t get into it. I tried, I promise, but by the 10th minute of the SAME scene with them cooking dinner, I just couldn’t do it anymore. This seemed to drag out incredibly slow and I also couldn’t get invested in the h. I tried skipping ahead just to see how it finished, but even that was boring and dragged it on. Kind of upsetting as I was very excited to give this a try after having it suggested to me in a reader group.

Loved it!!!! Have loved Bird from the start but Summer is exceptional. The kids are precious and hilarious. Martha - Mama Forrester is something else. You don't want to get on her bad side but if your good with her then you are loved and protected as well as with the rest of the "family". Summer's family sounds very interesting.

From single ready to mingle to married with children VERY QUICKLY!

I do NOT consider it to be a STAND-ALONE read. Cee Bowerman authors multiple series set within Rojo, Texas and they are intertwined. There is a correct reading order and it can be found on her website (ceebowermanbooks.com). These really do need to be read in that order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers as there are multiple reoccurring characters, details that cannot be adequately recapped within the scope of another story that contributes to the story universe / world building, overlapping / concurrent timelines and overarching themes.

** There are some scenes that will be a trigger for sensitive readers. I have included examples below. Also, if you have not read the previous story in this series, the following may contain SPOILERS **

Another great, but very, very fast paced story! The world building continues to be excellent, maybe this is because of the way it has been built organically, scene by scene and story by story. The characters are strong and we continue to learn more about the Texas Kings and Bird, their President (really funny scene about his role in the MC 😂). We are also introduced to a new family with Summer, her little birds, her mother, brothers and sisters.

Summer has three small children that she has been raising alone since the unexpected death of her husband three years earlier. She works with Drea and the two have become friends. While she loves her job as an accountant, Summer’s boss is a creep. After successfully repelling him yet again, she needs a night out. Her mom has her kids for the holiday weekend and she is thinking that maybe it might be time for her to have some adult fun. So her and Drea head over to a bar that some of her friends own.

Bird has been a little envious of the happiness and love some of his siblings have found and he wants some version of that for himself. Then one Friday night he comes down from the office with a couple of his brothers to meet with Drea, a long time friend-enemy, only to be surprised she has someone with her. They are introduced and when they shake hands, Bird feels something almost electric and so does Summer.

Summer hasn’t been with anyone since her husband and Bird hasn’t ever brought anyone to his home. This unexpected feeling leads them both to act differently. Bird asks her to have dinner, Summer accepts, they walk out together, and get on his bike. Bird takes her to his house and they agree to extend it through the weekend. Then before they know it, circumstances and destiny intervene and the adventure begins.

One last note before I wrap this part up … the MC genre contains several different branches from sweet to outlaw to one percenters. While the Texas Knights MC is in the middle imo, the Texas Kings MC is more of the outlaw variety. Both focus on love, brotherhood, families and support, but the Texas Kings also bring vengeance to the table.

⛔️ The interwoven SERIES contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, (play) spanking for pleasure, restraints, “bottom” play, breath play, sensory deprivation, voyeurism, exhibitionism, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, rape, attempted rape, stalking, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, arson, drug use, drug addiction, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, polygamy, etc.

** Caution: The series contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There are minimal grammatical issues in the story. Listed below are examples of errors I found within the SERIES: incorrect word choice (piece iso peace), incorrect word tense (one iso ones), typos (big[1] iso big, abou iso about, att iso at) punctuation errors (extra periods, commas, extra spaces, missed quotation marks, missed capitalization at beginning of sentence), missed words and extra inserted / repetitive words.

I highlighted one of the issues I found and uploaded it to Goodreads.com for anyone interested.

I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

This is my third book by Cee Bowerman and I think I’m in love. I stayed up all night and read three of her books and I am dead tired but very, very happy.
Bird Forresters and Summer Preston are having a weekend-long one night stand when Bird is suddenly presented with his secret infant daughter, Lark. Lark’s maternal grandmother wants the baby, so the social worker tells Bird (the Bird is the word) he needs to prove a good environment and care for the child. Summer steps up and says she and Bird are getting married next weekend and that she and her three boys will be moving in to blend their family, and that she plans to become a full-time mom.
*blink, blink*
Damn. She don’t lie halfway, do she?
Anyway, Bird and Summer really want custody of Lark, so they plan a wedding and rearrange his house to equip it for their family. And the wedding is planned for just about a week after they met.
Hilarity ensues, with moments like one of the myriad of related characters thinking that a pink plus sign on a pregnancy test means that it’s a girl, to a toddler who has to be bribed to wear pants, and comments at the start of each chapter flesh out the characters’ personalities and made me laugh right out loud.
There’s conflict. And suspense. And a grandma whom you would never, *ever* want to screw with.
The MC is more of a backdrop to the action than an active presence, but the men are a part of it and the theme of family is paramount.
I loved this book and it was totally worth the sleep I traded it for. I’m going to go absolutely nuts over Bowerman’s back list.

Somehow even better than the last one.

I absolutely loved the last book, but I knew I probably would since I am a sucker for the whole ‘couples that grew up loving each other’ shit. I read this book only because the last one was so awesome that I just had to find out what was in store next. Makes am I glad I did. I love the storyline, the family connections, all the damn brothers sound like every woman’s wet dream, and it was freaking hilarious! Loved this book! I even snap shorted like a billion pages just to get a good laugh in the future. I’ll admit I haven’t read the first book yet. I started with the second (obviously because it was a second chance romance) but now I am going to backtrack and read that one next because now I just have to know Kale and his woman’s story.

Also, love the whole bird name thing (and when he talked about the bird nest I laughed like a maniac). I am obsessed with the Phoenix. I have it freestyle tattooed across my whole upper back with the words RISE ABOVE tattooed down my spine. My son’s middle name is also Phoenix. He loves it. He is convinced that he is a fire bird inside of his little human body…has me draw pictures of his real form(the phoenix) every chance he gets and at 9 can almost draw a better one than me. Only thing that sucks is that he is also convinced that is untouchable. Swears he’ll just be reborn if anything ever goes sideways lol

All the bird names had me thinking…I like Falcon for a boy and Dove for a girl.

Summary:
The FMC goes out with her bestie. She is a widow with children. The children are away, and mama wants to play. Her bestie takes her to her friend's bar. The MMC owns the bar. Soon as he sees her, he wants her. A one-night stand turns into a several nights thing.

The MMC is a member of a motorcycle club. One day there is a knock at the door and the MMC discovers that he is the father to a baby. The only problem is the child's mom has died, and her mother wants to keep the MMC away from the baby at all costs. The FMC pretends she is the MMC fiancée. Which the means they have to get married and stay together so that the MMC can keep his daughter. Which is ok because by then they both realize that they have something special going on.

Review:
I liked this book. I loved how they confirm that "destiny" brought them together (no spoilers). I loved how both their families interacted. I truly loved the interaction between the FMC and the MMCs parents. This is a very cute read. I recommend it if you are looking for a mc romance without the typical drama.

Sweet Chaos

This book was back to the usual sweet warm and fuzzy feelings that the rest of the series engenders. I really enjoyed how this one unfolded.

Bird is the president of the Texas Kings MC. He co-owns the family businesses and manages one of the bars himself. He has watched his friends and family pair off and become happy and has found himself feeling that his huge house and his life are too empty.

Summer is a widowed mother of three boys under the age of 5. Her husband died on the day she found out she was pregnant with her third child. She works with Drea and as her are kids away for the weekend with their grandmother, she decides to finally take Drea up on her offer to hit the town after work.

As soon as Bird and Summer meet there are sparks and they walk out the door together within minutes of meeting. It’s complete insta-lust, only the crazy lust filled weekend they intended to have, with no strings attached, starts to feel like it could be something more, especially when someone turns up with a baby saying she belongs to Bird.

I have always like Bird, but Summer is awesome. She’s pretty happy and laid back, until someone attacks her loved ones and then she’s a mama bear. She goes with the flow, especially with her kids, who are also awesome. I love how open she is to everything and matter of fact with it, even if she has a few mental wobbles along the way, they don’t last very long.

It’s a really feel good book that I enjoyed a lot.

”Do you believe in destiny, Bird?”

omg did i love this book 🥺

i’m so glad i decided to continue this series. it was so cute, but we also got more hot sex scenes, great humor, and still got to see all the characters from the other books.

this was instalust/instalove, but if you believe in fate or destiny, this book is for you. and honestly, even if you don’t, this book is great. sometimes life is wild and you just go along with the ride and what it gives you.

all the Forrester boys def deserve their HEAs ♡

Summer’s boys were also so wild but hilarious and it felt like getting a glimpse of seeing what the Forrester boys could have been like as kids.

i think i love Bird & Summer as much as i love Kale & Terra.

If You Like Sex In Your Books, This Is The One To Read!

Bird meets a friend of Drea’s and right away feels a connection. This book is all about destiny. This is the first MC series I have read by this author but I’m loving it. They are all very funny. Kale was the funniest though. This has been the sexiest so far. Although this was very funny too, especially the children. I laughed out loud in public. Had to apologize to a stranger. I felt like an idiot in the doctors office.

The only thing that bugs me is that I don’t always know who’s talking. This author has a different style than I’m used to. She doesn’t always use the words “he said” or “so and so said”. She just makes each paragraph the next person speaking, and includes there name. You have to get used to it.

These stories are about MC families. There is some violence in this story. There is more in others. This one was more about romance and some kidnapping.
