(1) Katsuki continues to be the butt of many jokes. LOL
(2) The League of Villains continues to come up with silly plans.
(3) and then the students of Class 1A fall under the spell of a certain magical device in winter, I mean, a , even All Might has a hard time 'getting' the students away from it. LOL

These are such a weird mix of skeevy skits that are dirtier than in the main manga and jokes that are so wholesome I can’t help but smile? It’s so odd. Also, strange considering this series is a lot harsher on Mineta for his gross behavior (not that I’m complaining because I love watching the girls get revenge on that little creep).
Anyway, this series always manages to get a few laughs and smiles out of me.

I read My Hero Academia: Smash Vol. 4 through VIZ Media: Shonen Jump.
My Hero Academia: Smash is a series intent on retelling the original series that we love so much (My Hero Academia, in case that wasn't painfully obvious), but with a more...humorous twist. If you haven't read the original series, a lot of what happens here probably won't make a lot of sense.
Likewise, if you don't want to see MHA without it's more serious edge...this probably isn't the series for you. It's a little bit quirky, and a whole lot crazy. Not exactly the series that caught our attention, to put it mildly.
My Hero Academia: Smash!! Vol. 4 is the latest parody volume to hit the shelves, and you can tell that it had a lot of fun here. Though I feel like this latest volume got even further away from the original plot arcs and just had some fun. For the record, I don't actually think that's a bad thing.
It's hard to take a serious arc and turn it into something silly and crazy without losing something. The last volume showed us that. So I'm glad that this volume had a bit of a looser format. At least, that was how it felt to me.
There are still plenty of jokes to be found, and like the rest of the series, you really have to be a fan of MHA in order to understand even half of them. But it's all in good fun, and it's a nice way of relaxing after watching some of the crazier things occur in the main series.

It's a really stupid but funny 4-panel gags involving My Hero Academia.
Again, some of the jokes are hit-and-miss. So if you start reading it and get a little turned off, try to power through it. There's probably a joke for you.
Included in this volume:
The new dorms. Japanese specific holidays. Kotatsu tables. Mama's home cooking. DidneyWorld!! Getting sick. The woes of the working world. Parent's day. The beach! Detective work! A soccer game. And, of course, hero training.
But my god... the joke in the second comic on page 81... I've never had that strange of a reaction to a joke before. It's like my brain recognized the joke and wanted to laugh but my body said "That's not funny! That's heartbreakingly sad!' and I nearly died as my emotions tried to do two things at the same time.
Also, I'm stealing that cactus thing on page 114. That seems like a cool idea.
And there's a bonus chapter about body-swap shenanigans. (Also some official art from Kohei Horikoshi! Everyone swapped costumes and personalities and I've never seen Bakugou that calm!)

Such a fun manga. If your a fan of the My Hero Academia series you'll enjoy these little snippets and insights of what might be going on on a regular day for our characters. I liked getting to see more into different characters as well who aren't really around but are shown once or twice in the manga / anime like Mt.Lady who gets a day for some relaxation, you get to see a different side of the league of Villian. Then for the person I'm really there for Shoto Aizawa who is my favorite. It's not a book I'd just sit though and read straight on to the very end, its just in little burst because this really is all over the place but still a fun read.

This volume is very cute, and it's fun to see the little things everyone is getting up to between the main storyline. This series is perfect for fans of the main manga series to be able to just get a bit more from the story and all the characters.

3 1/2 stars. So much fun. Because Bakugou is my favourite character, the parts with him were usually my favourite. (I liked his odd jobs and the All Might skit.) I also really loved the last part where everybody switched everything around--it was hilarious.

Some really funny jokes in this volume. I’m still cackling at any todoroki scene lmao. (Seriously the pie joke will never not make me crack up)
Not as memorable as the previous volumes, but still pretty enjoyable with some of the events. Sad to see this ending in the fifth volume.
