Na haar studie werkte zij enkele jaren voor een marketing en communicatiebureau, richtte ze diverse bedrijfjes op en reisde o.a. een half jaar lang door Zuid-Amerika en Afrika.
Voor haar debuut en bestseller Verblind (2010), dompelde zij zich onder in het leven van de wiethandel, liep mee tijdens het oogsten en was aanwezig bij het verhandelen. In 2006 verruilde Patricia de hoofdstad voor het platteland, het decor voor haar tweede roman De intrigant die in mei 2011 is verschenen. Sinds januari 2011 woont en werkt zij in Singapore. Haar derde thriller De expat is 4 februari 2013 verschenen. Haar vierde boek, De jacht, is half mei 2014 verschenen.
Zij geeft ook lezingen en workshops over het schrijverschap.
Bestselling author Patricia Snel was born and raised in the Netherlands and studied Italian Literature and Art History at the University of Leiden. After receiving her Master’s degree, she moved to Amsterdam where she studied at the (script) writing school. Patricia later worked in marketing and communications for a number of years and started various companies. She fed her passion for travel with trips throughout South America, Asia, and Africa.
Back in Amsterdam, Patricia immersed herself in the cannabis industry to write her successful debut novel Blinded published in May 2010. Written on the heels of Blinded, The Conspirator was published in June 2011. Since December 2010, Patricia has lived and worked in Singapore where research inspired her to write about the tragedy of human trafficking, the topic for her third novel and bestseller The Expat, published in February 2013. The Expat has been translated into English. Her fourth novel The hunt was published in May 2015, a gripping story about the African ivory trade. Currently she is writing on her fifth novel The violinist and the television concept Money, Masks & Monkeys with her colleague Angela Ryan. Patricia also lectures and gives writing workshops.

Heerlijk boekje om te lezen. Aanrader!

Het spijt me, maar ik vond dit boek seriues slaapverwekkend. Hij was in anderhalf uur tijd uit, het plot was erg onwaarschijnlijk en het boek was meer een klaagbrief dan een thriller. Mensen, niet alles dat met letters geschreven is, is "literair".

Aanzienlijk minder dan haar debuut. De schrijfstijl is wel weer goed zoals in het debuut, maar het verhaal is nergens spannend, maar wel goed onderbouwd. Houdt me niet tegen om een volgend boek van Patricia te lezen.

Nergens wordt het in dit boek echt spannend, maar het leest wel erg makkelijk weg. Als tussendoorboek fungeert het dan ook prima!

Makkelijk te lezen boek. Weinig diepgang en een simpel slot. Niet echt speciaal.
