From the author of Blood Moon Magic comes the second installment of the Elements of Twilight Trilogy.

I survived the Blood Moon Ceremony... barely

Our pack is in ruins, ravaged by a traitor who left us to pick up the pieces.

My people need my help to rebuild, yet something went very wrong that night,

and I'm not the same wolf I used to be.

Now, I’m being forced into the Underworld

in a desperate attempt to unravel the darkness coiling within me.

The only creature able to prevent my magical overload

is a malevolent succubus who is sure to demand something in return.

And the way she ogles my men makes it clear she’s not to be trusted.

Let her look at me like I’m her next meal. She has no idea who she’s dealing with.

With my parents whisked into the Void, I have a pack to take care of, and Elders who will stop at nothing to kill me.

But my troubles don’t stop there.

The five delicious men I love are battling demons of their own and need me more than ever.

Can I be the alpha everyone is counting on, or will my failure tear our pack part?

The chaos continues as the Elements of Twilight series races towards its heart-stopping conclusion with Aether Magic, written by Isobelle Carmichael.

Aether Magic is a #whychoose style novel. These books have potentially triggering elements and explicit scenes. This book has FMMMM, MM, FF BDSM, as well as dark themes.

I'm Isobelle, a writer from Northern Virginia. I've been reading and writing for as long as I can remember. However, it wasn't until I crossed in that magical world known as my 30's that I shook off the last vestiges of fear and dove head first into my writing career. I started writing in September 2018 and fell in love. I hope you enjoy my stories because I pour a piece of myself into every page. I started this journey as a passion project, and to prove myself right.. Everyone deserves to live out there dreams. When not writing I'm also a fan of cooking, musical theatre and spoiling my dog. I love reverse harem, dark paranormal, urban fantasy and fantasy. I listen to my muse and write what she gives me.

My fondest wish is to write for all sorts of different people. I want to be very inclusive in my writing because I feel like there's a place for that. I think that everybody should be able to pick up a book and find somebody they identify with. I want to write characters that are real, even if they're in a fantastical world. Which means, touching on subjects that might be disturbing to some, but is a way of life to others. Life isn't all rainbows and lollipops. We have to go through a storm once in a while. That's what makes the reward sweeter!

I was very excited for this book after the way the previous one ended. I was happy that they jumped right back in and picked things up where they left off.

Readers get a lot of different perspectives as the story moves along. The chapters switch up from who's point of view things are seen from. While normally I am a huge fan of dual POV, this book just has so many characters. And they all have their own things going on. At times it felt like a bit much when I wanted to keep going with one or two of the characters. Or it felt like the story could have moved along a bit quicker without so much changing.

However I did enjoy the story. I liked a lot of the characters and the writing as a whole has me interested in more from this author. I'm certainly looking forward to book three after all the revelations of this book.

Let's start off by saying this is a new author for us and we really enjoyed our second read by them.I have to say that although I have read some Reverse Harem books in the past I have never read one in the paranormal gene, but, I am really glad I choose this book to venture there. We really loved that this was a werewolf clan of alpha shifters that were mostly women who were interbreeding with other clans like the dragons and choosing them for their mates. What will there children be like? The Alpha clans are trying to save their clan from extinction and perhaps this is the way.

I loved the story from beginning to end and we loved all the characters they were totally awesome .Abby had chosen some smokin hot sexy dragon mates like Shaun,Kaleb,Justin,Marcus,Kaden who were all different and each one of them carried a unique magic element that made them even more special.Marcus had to be my favorite though as he had my mouth watering the entire story with his food porn lol but, we loved them all.

The story had a great plot had tons of drama and a really touching love story. We loved getting to know the characters and seeing their fears and that they were venerable but, most of all their inner most feeling. The men all had some hefty secrets that waded them down.

The story was one hot read and the super chemistry between Abby and her 5 dragons made for some really hot sexy scenes. This story was awesome in our book and really engaging right from the onset of the set of the story and we were still engrossed in it to the very end.We loved the mystery and the magic that the story wrought as well as all the twists and turns the story took and learning that the people all around Abby were betraying her trust time and time again.I have to say as they story unfolded and the secrets that were uncovered and revealed were mind blowing and at times my heart broke for Abby as she had enough going on with herself with fighting the darkness and trying to handle all that power her mates were distant and keeping secrets from her.I understood they were trying to protect her as well as their hearts but, it was all to much for Abby at times and it amazed me she never crashed and burned from all the secrets and lies that surrounded her.Their is no doubt that these men love her and whole heartily each and everyone of them would go to the ends of the earth to make sure she is protected and alive safe and well loved. After the claiming ceremony not only Abby changed but, her men as well and they were all adjusting to their new gifts or enhanced gifts and it was an adjustment for them all that came with a lot of ups and downs.

I will say that this new debut author did and amazing job with creating this engrossing tale for us to love and she defiantly made us fall in love with the characters she created for us .

A job Well done !

Recommended read to all!

This is Book 2 in the Elements of Twilight series. Book 1- Blood Moon Magic was an excellent story of Shifters, witches, and magic. These books must be read in order so that the story makes sense. I fell in love with the characters almost immediately and couldn’t put the first book down. Our heroine, Abigail/Abby must claim her mate at a claiming ceremony and learn to control her magic by her 21st birthday. The Shifter numbers have been falling and the claiming ceremony and the Blood Moon Rites must be successful this year. Well, Abby claims 5 men and most of the other eligible woman claim two or more. It is a very successful year in that respect. However, the chief Elder is not happy. Her goal in life is to suck all the magic out of the Shifters so that she can ascend and become a Goddess. There is also a Shifter Clan that was banned from the Rites and the book ends on a cliff hanger with that clan disrupting the ceremony. I couldn’t wait to read the next book.

So, here we are at book 2. What a disappointment. It starts out strong with some back tracking to fill in what happened at the Ceremony. Abby was able to kill the Death Claws leader and cleanse his son of the curse on his soul. However, her father, mother and the leader of the Dragon Clan disappeared into the Void. I think the storyline is about finding them and freeing them. They also must discover what has tainted Abby’s magic and heal her too. To do this, they go to the underworld to seek more power from the Siren that rules there.

This is where this book goes wrong and only gets a reluctant 3 stars from me. It seems that our Abby’s tainted magic exhausts her. The only way to rejuvenate is to have sex, with one or all five of her men at once. So, we get one or two pages of storyline and then a chapter or two of explicit sex. Then they rest and start over. By the halfway point in this book, I was ready to quit. I don’t mind the sex but enough is enough. Get on with the story. Needless to say, I skim read through the rest of the book. It ends on a cliff hanger again but I’m not sure I’ll read book 3. The storyline is great, but the sex is overdone.

This was an amazing continuation of the series and a fantastic sequel to a fantastic debut. Whoever read the first book know how difficult it was to wait but it was worth it. Although I do envy the readers who are just picking up the series. But only a little bit. This is one of those authors I read immediately and I would not be able to wait a day, let alone the next book to start.
So, the story continues about three weeks after the shocking ending of the previous book, with reflections from the moments right after the shocking ending, and from various points of view. This was brilliantly done and the author really brings the reader closer into the minds of the characters, their inner most feelings, fears, and vulnerabilities.
Since the last book was pretty dark as there were some quite heavy moments including some of the main characters, this book brings a short reprieve from the ugly in that sense, however some people never learn, or at least not right away. Fortunately the self sacrifice is not so pronounced, as those concerned have learned their lesson. However, the lies and betrayal go deeper than expected and they hurt so much. At times I wonder how Abby survives it all. There is so much love, regardless. Maybe that's the reason.
There is a war brewing and there is a shift in loyalties. There are also some unexpected twists and turns. And due to the deep betrayal and profound pain it causes, the trust among the characters is badly shaken. Every time I think I know where the story is going the author surprises me and her cliffhangers are fantastic!
And if course, I will not complete this review without mentioning how hot and steamy the story was in just the right places. The author is one of the best in explicit content and that I enjoyed immensely, as well. But sexy stuff aside, the story was so incredibly good, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
This is book 2 and books only make sense if read in order. The reading order is: Blood Moon Magic (Elements of Twilight Book 1), Aether Magic (Elements of Twilight Book 2), and Elder Magic (Elements of Twilight Book 3) coming soon.

Up is down and out is in and off to the under realm we go...

And I thought things were a mess before the blood moon ceremony!

This is book two in the series and it picks up right where book one ended.  This starts out fairly strong. We take a turn with each cast member revisiting the events that night through their perspective. For me, this is one of the things I truly enjoy about Carmichael's writing style. It can take a bit to get accustomed to but for me, it allows me to get a bit more lost in the story.

Abby is suffering some side effects that no one foresaw - I get that I do -but she was grating on my nerves for most of the storyline. It does get better I swear just hang in there lol.
Marcus seemed to call to me more in this second episode than he did in book one. It could be the shift in his personality? I am not sure. But I'm claiming him.
We spend a bit more time with the elders as well as with Abbey's dad and mom. I liked him in book one despite what he was and I liked him even more here. I knew there was more to his story.

As in the first episode, there is a lot is going on. The main storyline is easy to follow and the subplots are enticing if not at times almost more intriguing. Here is where I will admit I had some problems. A couple times the jump in scenes and plot lines felt forced()? within the storyline.
Some editing issues brought me out of the story line a couple of times. Not enough to have me closing the pages but enough to make me notice.
And believe it or not, I felt the excessive sex devalued not only the storyline but the bond between the cast ( I never thought I would hear me say that either).

Be prepared for a lot of "oh he ll no!" moments at around halfway through things become a bit twisted. Friendships become questionable, bonds are tested and it looks like darkness may gain the upper hand ... for now.

This ends on a bit of a cliffy - but being a series you probably already knew that.

Sexy and intense!

I like that this book follows closely from the previous book. It didn't take me long to remember the storyline and characters. I like the different points of view. Each time it changes the name is on the top of the page for the new chapter. That is especially helpful when it is a big change like when it is the High Priestess turn to speak.

I love Abby and her men. They grow and change a lot in this book. They learn each other's gifts and talents. They get used to their bond.

I like the various places. There is the Overrealm, Underrealm, and the Void. Each place has different characters. It is amazing the variety of creatures.

Most of the book is intense as Abby tries to learn to deal with her new magic. There are some fun scenes too. I love the one where Shaun puts the Twins in "time out". That is necessary, but silly too.

I can't wait to read the next part of this ongoing story. It is really good. I hope you like it as much as I did.

Wonderful! I've volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. This is the second book in the elements of Twilight series. It picks up directly where the first book ended. I’m hooked on this series. The author really brings the reader closer into the minds of the characters, their inner most feelings, fears, and vulnerabilities. Abby and her five men are beset on all sides with danger, confusion, and betrayal. And it's their love that is holding them steady but it will be tested in this book. There are lots of surprises and revelations. If you loved the first book, then you'll love this one even more! I can't wait for more. I can't wait to read the next installment in this series. Keep up the wonderful work Isobelle!

Aether Magic is the second book in the Elements of Twilight series (Blood Moon Magic is the first), and it picks up directly where the first book ended. I’m hooked on this series, and it appears that there is another one coming after this one.

Abby and her five men are beset on all sides with danger, confusion, and betrayal. It is their love for each other that holds them steady but even their bond is tested in this story. Abby has acquired new powers but there is a darkness growing within her. And believe me, there are parts of this story where she gets very, very dark. Megan, Seamus and David are in the Void, secrets regarding the Elders and why shifters are dying are starting to rise to the surface, and the High Priestess is a truly terrifying, dark and evil force, one out to destroy Abby. This just keeps getting better and better.

I have a list of favorite authors, and Isobelle Carmichael is on that list. Her writing style is quite good and you’ll find yourself sinking into her stories with relish. They are fast-paced, well written, with characters you want to follow. This series is very entertaining, and I highly recommend it.

Aether Magic is book two and much like in every series, it continued the story where it left off from book one. I was able to engage into the story right away without any trouble at all. The story was told through multiple POV, which I liked the most because I was able to connect with each character. It is important for me in this kind of genre, reverse harem, to have an insight with the main characters or I will not feel the connection. There was development in Abby and her men, individually and as a group throughout the story. It is especially true for Abby as she came into power and the fate of her pack lies in her. She was very lucky that she had these powerful shifters by her side to help her with this seemingly insurmountable task, aside from dangers and betrayals left and right. This has been an entertaining, fast paced and very well written story and couldn't wait for the finale.

Thank you to the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3 stars

This is the first time I read from this author. And Aether Magic is a book 2 among the series. This series is suggested to read in sequence, or else you will easily lost track with the story.

At first I really love how Abby is, she has a unique personality and characteristic. However, after continue reading the story feels a bit rush. But I did still made it till the end. Hopefully next book will be better.

Wow this book!!! Our FMC Abby has had a lot of bombs dropped on her, and they aren't done falling. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 ended. Abby and her men are dealing with the decisions made as well as trying to grow their relationship. More secrets are unearthed and I felt just as shocked as Abby a few times! That being said, I loved this book and didn't want to put it down! This second book is super steamy. Like very, very, very, steamy!!! There is so much going on I can't wait for the next book and need it like yesterday! There are some dark themes and possible trigger warning, but I definitely recommend it!!! I received an ARC of this book.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

There is so much going on in this new installment to this wonderful series. We pick up pretty much where we left off with everything crazy after what happened. There is complete chaos once the two Alphas are taken undermining the leadership of their packs. It turns into a race to see if they figure things out in time to save the day. Lots of action and suspense mixed with relationship building and steamy scenes. Perfect for fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

WOW!! I absolutely love this series. There is so much action, adventure, hot steamy sex, and a really good story to go with it all. Abby and her dragons are preparing to fight the elders and must go to to the underworld to try and fix Abby's power from the blood moon ritual. What happens there will have you on the edge if your seat. You will not be disappointed. There are lots of surprises and revelations.

A continuation of Abby's story. This fantasy was very steamy and very dark. Abby and her mates, Marcus, Kaleb, Kaden, Justin, and Shaun, work well together as they tried to fix their situation. I love the fact that they will literally go to hell and back for each other. I look forward to the next book in this series to see where it is going.

This series just keeps on getting better and better with each book. Abby the female mc is completely amazing and strong even when she doesn't realize it. Her men are so hot and perfect in their own way. She has alot on her plate and is trying to prove to everyone that she can do this. This story flows very smooth and very detailed like the first book. Absolutely loved this book.
