“I have two weeks to protect myself from three horny, blackmailing vampires and their fangs.”
If I don’t obey them, the Stryx brothers will unleash my terrible secret. A secret that will get me executed. Or worse.
Nero, Dante, and Raphael have trapped me right where they want: Kneeling at their gorgeous feet, their unwilling slave. They have my body, my obedience, and now they want my blood.
How long before I stop resisting their seductive games?
I must awaken my magic and fend them off before their kisses turn deadly.
Ensnared is book two of a reverse harem PNR academy bully romance series. It contains cursing, dark themes, and sexual situations.
After finishing Captured, I could not stop thinking about the characters and the storyline, so it made sense for me to read the second book, Ensnared. I LOVED this book, initially the first 90-100 pages made me uncomfortable but after that, the plot and everything just blew my mind of how good it was. I can’t say much without spoiling but Ensnared does end on a cliffhanger so I’m definitely going to read Breakout. The character development was superb, odd, but superb. Alicia became such a badass and I was rooting for her ALL. THE. WAY. In terms of the boys, I’m don’t know if there’s teams for them or anything but I’m ‘Team Dante’.
Omg! I loved book one, but book two blew it out of the water. The storyline is thickening, the characters are more scheming and the concept of vampire's and humans becomes even more exciting. I loved the twists and turns. The heat level in this book increased from book one and that cliffhanger... I can't wait to see where everything goes in book 3! Beautiful world and great inclusion of an academy atmosphere with romance and intrigue.
Ok this one was definitely better than the 1st book. The scene where the 1st book ended would have taken alot of hardwork to actually screw up so I wasn't surprised that this book was better. In case you haven't read my review on the last book, I'll say it again. I dislike bully romances and I purposefully avoid them. since I accidentally read book 1 and it ended on an intriguing cliffhanger I was compelled to read this one too. The start of this book, the yule break just started i.e. no vampires for 2 weeks. Meaning way less bullying. Also, the Stryx brothers make the FMC their concubine so she has more protection (from others and not the brothers themselves). The FMC has also calmed down a bit (since she found out that her family died in the last book and she doen't have anywhere to go even if she runs away) making her more level headed in her approach to escape. She starts learning Frumosi magic from a woman referred only as the 'onion woman'. She also meets Gates who has embraced his werewolf side. After the return of the MMCs more drama enfolds. More bullying, harassment, hurling of insults, sneaking around, threatening, getting threatened, etc. etc. The best scene was probably when she gets pissed and almost burns the idiot brothers with her frumosi magic. The book kinda takes a turn there. After that it was kinda boring. It just felt like they had been digging their graves for the 1st and most of the 2nd semester. It exposed that the idiot brothers were just as impulsive as the FMC had been. Like killing one of the Preta twins was no calculated move but simply revenge. They should also have disposed of the incriminating evidence against the FMC as soon as she signed the contract. I understand that they are not criminal geniuses but they did a very poor job of covering everything up. In conclusion this book is obviously better than its predecessor but the ending is not intriguing enough to make me go back to read the last one. Also, the whole menstruation blood consumption thing was extremely disgusting (its not just blood you know). I sincerely request the author NEVER to write anything like that ever again.

I'm in two minds over this series. On one hand, it's written well. It's easy to read. On the other, the plot structure is confusing and jerky. Halfway through the characters have a change of heart and their personalities completely change. This makes it less the bully romance it started out as. The "romance scenes" are fast burn and littered throughout the second book more so than the first. It mostly just seems gratuitous and there's no relationship development other than Stockholm syndrome. Alicia goes on an on about hating her vampires and then suddenly it's 'oh we talked while we cuddled they're actually quite sweet". It's just seems kind of disappointing. There's a few confusing phrases and such, which makes it feel as though the book would have benefited from another round of edits to get right. Overall the story is quite interesting and the world building is furthered in this book a little more.
This book definitely captured my attention more than the first and left me wanting to read the last. I really enjoy the concept of the vampire academy and the new twists that were added. I do like that there’s a backstory being added, more than just teenage drama and alicia being a concubine.
However there were a lot of spelling/grammar errors and name mix ups (I.e. one character mention when it was clearly meant to be someone else). I was also left with a lot of questions (maybe they’ll be answered in the next book?) if Alicia is lady mantis’ knocker wouldn’t she just go into her memories anyway since knockers have to do what they’re told? Is that why the boys are locked up? Is the onion lady actually a spy for the hunters and that’s why she hasn’t freed any of the knockers? Or is her son there in the castle somewhere and that’s why she stays hidden and doesn’t leave?

4 stars for Ensnared by Sofia Daniel. This is book two in the Royals of Sanquine Vampire Academy series. “But if the brothers could help me develop my powers as a frumosi, I would be happy to work with them while I explore our bond.” Alicia and the guys are developing a bond but are they being a 100% truthful to each other. This book has A LOT more action, steamy scenes, and twist and turns. The sex scenes are dirty in the best way and erotic. I am loving everything that is happing in this book/series. Alicia is developing her powers and becoming stronger. The ending is a huge cliffhanger. Starting book three now.
I figured at some point she was going to get caught up in all the bs she has been doing lol I just didn't know who or what she was going to be caught for. I was a bit surprised about some of the incidents that happened but its all happening so fast that its hard to focus on one thing for to long. That doesn't mean I don't like it, its just a very fast paced book. So if your into fast paced action books, with mystery and a little steam then this would be a good read for you.
So I really want to like this book because it’s got an interesting world… but to me the main part of a ”bully romance” is when the bully changes and redeems themselves for their behavior…. This story doesn’t do that. I read first two books and I’m giving it a 4 star because it’s a good story and has good characters and spicy scenes but I dislike the love interests too much to continue to book 3
Definitely better than the first book by a landslide. I was so happy to see that Alicia didn’t lose her fight and that she finally got to reverse the roles with the brothers. Thought, I’d have to say there are several things that were revealed that I didn’t see coming and I’m looking forward to the next book.
A great continuation of the first book, this follows the serving term at Sanguine Academy, and gives us an everchanging view of the relationship between frumosi and vampire. What seemed established in Book One is changing, which means changes for Alicia and her Stryx brothers.
Had higher hopes for this series as well, but I'm giving up after finishing book #2. Evangeline is pretty much miserable and condescending throughout both books that I just couldn't take it anymore. The steam scenes aren't that great because she doesn't want it and it's just all a mess. I'm usually a big fan of Bully RH books but this one fell flat for me.
I really liked this book. I was not expecting that plot twist. I don’t want to give anything away so that is all I’m going to say. You will have to read to find out. I wasn’t too sure about the first book but wanted to find out what was going to happen. So glad I did the second book was a lot better. Now on to the next.
Alicia can't avoid trouble. No matter what she does, someone always wants more from her. She learns some magic from an "Onion woman", is bonded to Stryx House, and escapes only to be recaptured. Once again, a cliffhanger ending...
This was so good i couldn't put it down. Was awesome and cannot wait to read the next book in the series to see how the end of book 2 finished off in book three.
Book 2 in this series was just as entertaining as Book 1, but again finished on a cliff hanger.... And just when you thought they would FINALLY get the full blood bond completed we see more twists and turns. Onto book 3!
This was supposed to be a book about revenge. But instead, Alicia turned out to fell in love with them. I so wanted to her became a bad ass heroin and do something different. Maybe I am getting tired of books that forgive bullying do easily.
I still have an intense love hate relationship with this series and I'm not sure if that's going to change. I am definitely going to continue reading because I need some sort of closure.
Still not convinced with this series I think the jump from book 1 to book 2 where the FMC gets involved with the men and their relationship went from bully to trust is confusing to me. Again so much nectar…I can’t!

This was a great sequel! Huge cliffhanger that might have me staying up all night reading the next in this series. This is definitely a cant-put-down series!!
