The Pine Ridge plantation has been purchased by a mixed race couple. They encounter resistance from some of the locals, soon finding the past haunting them in more ways than one.

Robert and Kate are looking to start a new life together in Alabama. Hudson, a removals man, has different ideas. Together with two allies, he begins a campaign of racially motivated harassment in the hope of provoking the couple to leave.

Kate is unable to move on from the death of their son. Shortly after moving in, the building’s past begins to haunt her when she is visited by a ghost. Robert’s lack of belief creates a rift between them, their relationship and their life at the new home coming under threat.

Pine Ridge weaves the past and present in a tale that is sure to grip readers. A supernatural thriller, this is a book that’s hard to put down.

With over eighty books published since 2005, British born writer Edwin Page is one of the most prolific authors of the early 21st Century.

Known largely for his historical fiction, he is the author of the widely acclaimed Where Seagulls Fly. He has also written a number of popular stories relating to slavery in the U.S. These include The Hanging Tree, Runaway and Oona.

Edwin Page has a 1st Class degree in Film & Literary Studies and has had numerous short stories, articles and poems published in a variety of publications. Born and bred near Cambridge, he went to university in Plymouth and Carlisle, and now lives in western Cornwall.

Interesting Read

I loved the story being told. It was not as captivating as the other works I have read, yet still a beautiful story.

Having read many of this authors work, particularly his Slavery Novels, I felt this book encapsulates various genres and was different from his previous work. A very good read and i highly recommend to those who enjoy a little supernatural thriller.
