In search of a promised alternate life, Dan accepts an invitation to participate in the launch of a new semi-permanent full immersion gaming experience.
After logging in for the first time and finding that being born in his new life gives him almost as little choice as he had in real life. He ends up letting the same insecurities he was trying to get away from send him off course almost immediately.
A wrong turn puts him on a road to romance, adventure, and shadowy conspiracies; as he buys, sells, and trades his way across the kingdoms of Alterna.
What awaits in the cold windswept north? Is it just the Snow Elves and a few crates of goods, or is it something much more sinister? Will he manage to scrape by, or will his books end up deep in the red?
I honestly really enjoyed this book! Came across it on Prime reading. It reminded me a lot of playing world of Warcraft and all other mmorpg's. I was able to put myself into the story and visualize everything! The only reason I personally gave it 4 instead of 5 was because the last "scene/fight" threw me off a little. Guess it needed a bit more. I love the story line though! How you incorporated a npc and the route that took, although I did think it would go into a more romantic way instead of the way it did. Can't wait to start book 2 tomorrow!
