But as Eden’s memories awaken, and secrets are revealed, her past comes hunting … and it’s no longer just her life in danger.
This is the first book in the series. However, all books are fully complete, stand-alone novels.
I loved this book! It's a great opposites attract romance between two worthy and well-developed characters.
Former-cop Liam is the classic wounded brooding alpha hero whose sole focus is to protect his children following a tragedy. Street-wise Eden wakes up with a head injury in a small-town clinic with no memory of who she is, but can't ignore the burning need to keep running and keep herself safe. With limited resources available, Eden must stay with Liam and his family until the authorities can identify her. The whole situation makes Liam incredibly uncomfortable and Eden can't help but challenge his overly protective nature (leading to some fabulous sexual tension :)). Meanwhile, Liam's kids are falling for Eden and she can't help but love them back. As they slowly develop trust and their mutual attraction grows, Liam starts to give up his tight-fisted control and Eden finds belonging in a place she'd least expected. But their new-found love is threatened when Eden's memory returns and the danger she was running from closes in.
I love the way this author tells a story. Her phrasing is unique and refreshing. None of the usual tired clichés here and that made it a pleasure to read. Can't wait to read the next one!

A great blend of suspense and romance from a fresh new author in the Romantic Suspense space. If you love curmudgeonly heroes hiding a heart of gold and sassy heroines then this book is your catnip!
Eden is placed in Liam's care after a traumatic car accident wipes her memory. In a small town in northern Minnesota with no memories of her past, Eden finds herself longing for the love Liam and his 2 children can give her. But, just as former cop Liam begins to trust this beautiful stranger, her (difficult) past catches up with her.
I kept turning the pages to see how Liam and Eden would get past their personal issues and her past to find their happily-ever-after. Looking forward to book #2 in the Love and Justice series!
IF you are thinking this is a simple love story you would be wrong. We first meet Eden when she is clueless about her identity and shows signs of being beaten badly when she was found. But she can't stay in the small town's make shift hospital forever and goes home with ex-big-city cop Liam and his two children. He sticks her it the garage apartment where he has also stored things from his past life in the city. Liam doesn't want to get attached or have Eden influence his children. But while she is putting bits of pieces together with stories she sees in the news she knows she is endangering everyone. Liam is tough with her, but she can take it, but for everyone's sake he needs to lighten up on his kids. Liam is a man that has seen too much and instead of giving them the tools to work through things he shelters them instead. Being a single dad, with a stranger under his roof, and past losses still needing attention you will wondered how this guy has made it this far. Eden with her our of place southern draw softens Liam up while helping him prepare for the nightmare she has brought into his and his children's life. The who-dun-it factor is high in this story and so is the chemistry/tension. I'm thinking "I know you just had a traumatic event but would you two just get together already?!"
