Vincent Burton, the new City Manager, has been tasked to identify the next direction for Grayling. As a researcher, his quirky mind is filled with knowledge that he'll use to create a new way of life, both for the town and for himself.
Kory Whitmore has known and worked with Vincent for years, but when the final wave hits the town, she's swept up in the beautiful black love it brings, with the man who can make all of her dreams come true.
I'm D. Camille and I am an avid reader and author. I started reading romance books when I was thirteen and since then I've read hundreds. I wanted to write a series that contained the culture and history of the African and African American people.
I like to utilize historical information, science and ancient beliefs. I write for people to enjoy, think, analyze and learn; not only about the characters but hopefully also about themselves. I love to hear from my readers. Write me and tell me about your favorite characters and what you love about them. Me, I love all of them...they came from my heart.
I don’t care how many books I read I fall in love with Grayling every time. This was the perfect ending. Thank you for taking us on this journey again. Please take us back to Grayling soon!!
Grayling is everything! I cried my way through the entire last 4 chapters. Black Love, Black Life and Black Knowledge should be read by everyone who knows that Black Excellence is real that towns like Grayling are worth fighting for.
Grayling...The Place Where Excellence Lives and Home of the Wave
I'm soooooo loving Vincent and Kory together and how they're both intelligent brainiacs. It was how she called herself going over to his house to seduce him but ended up pouring her heart out to him instead finding out that he had been waiting on her feelings to catch up for three years. I love how so much history and knowledge is poured into each book that D. Camille writes that stimulates our minds. I'm glad that Willie and Roscoe Finally made a truce and getting along now to even deal with Mr. Johnson together. And the triple wedding for Vincent and Kory, Vaughn and Keisha, and Bryce and Ange lwas so sweet especially when Vincent shed tears when he laid eyes on Kory. I can't wait until Summer and Wynter grow up with Kenny Woods already in love with Wynter. Max and Cam will most definitely have their hands full. Down south, there is a lot of town with heritage just like Mound Bayou in Mississippi such as Africatown in Mobile, Alabama.
I absolutely love this story of Vincent and Kory they are just two very intelligent young people. Who loved each other it was a very nice love story. It's also nice to see that the waves still continue in Grayling . I'm sad to see the series come to an end but, I'm also looking forward to what's to come. As always it was my pleasure reading your book.
This book was funny ,tense and just well written. Visiting Grayling was always interesting especially with the character Willie, that man made you laugh, and want to slap the snot out of him. The elders in the town were easy to look up to because they tried to make great choices to help the younger crew in the town. I've loved D.Camille's books from the beginning, read her books you will not be disappointed. This book gets five stars.
But I didn't mind HOW it all ended. I am so in love with Grayling and the ALL the people that make up this town, including Willie and YES, even Uncle Roscoe. Looking forward to what D. Camille has in store in the future for this town and it's residents.
I hate to see the Grayling series end! You did the damn thang! Vincent and Kory are made for one another! I love 💕 the fact on Mound Bayou! I truly didn’t know and I live in Mississippi! It truly shows that our history is not being taught, we need to educate ourselves!
