This fun read offers children information about the immigrant experience in the early 20th century, specifically, what it was like on Ellis Island, through the eyes of a terrier. Colorful characters, exciting chase scenes, danger, sweet illustrations, and a perfect ending, this beginning chapter book would make an excellent book club choice. Great author's note offers more information. Highly recommended.
