Caveman Aliens #9

Caveman Alien’s Sword

Rate this book

Ashlynn...

A caveman is chasing me...

He’s right behind me, crashing through the jungle. He’s huge, all muscles and fangs and turquoise stripes. His sword is the size of a helicopter blade, and the bulge in his pants is almost as big!

He was supposed to be my bodyguard on this dinosaur-infested planet!

I guess he changed his mind...

I know what cavemen on this woman-less planet like to do to Earth girls: abduct and impregnate!

That’s not going to happen to me!

So I run!

Juri’ex...

I don’t like that she runs from me!

But I like watching her run. Her round behind has a fluid jiggle to it. Her sweet, alien scent perfumes the air. Even as I hunt her down, I can feel my crotch swelling uncontrollably!

I will catch her!

And then, who knows? She might like what I’m going to do...

This series never gets old. With the threat of dragons coming to the planet, the already dangerous planet X’ren promises death to all. That is unless of course you’re able to snag yourself a primitive boyfriend. Ashlyn the heroine is just so lucky as she manages to not only acquire her own caveman but also a caveman with the biggest and most formidable sword on the planet.
Ashlyn needs a escort to abuse where her presence and physics skills are required. The first few chapters of the book made it hard to enjoy Ashlyn. Ashlyn lacks faith in herself and her abilities. She hides a keepsake from her fellow kidnappees and almost gets them killed on their journey by making stupid mistakes a few times. Luckily Ashlyn won me over and all it took was a lil’ hammering on her end if u catch my drift. Juri’ex was a nice change from some of the previous male cavemen. After leaving his tribe at a young age he spent years gathering iron for his sword and forging it. His sense of dedication and perseverance is enlightening and that certainly helps him win over Ashlyn. I would say Ashlyn is more the aggressor this time around, she wants herself a piece of Juri’ex and she has no qualms about making that happen.
I’m always fascinated by Bune and the treasures it holds. The girls still haven’t fully explored the ship and Ashlyn is up to the task. My favorite part..... an alien amusement park inside Bune. I mean throw in a water park, soap and bye Earth I’m outta here. I don’t know how this author manages to make this series continually interesting and moving along but she does. As usual I loved the story as a whole and the epilogue left me both pleased and wanting. Though more than eagerness now I’m worried, I think things on Bune are about to get a lot worse. Considering this is a planet full off killer dinosaurs and oppressive heat the thought of something scarier to come leaves me full of fear. I will say though now we know the dragons can shift into humans, perhaps later on, will we see a Earth woman and a dragon man together? I understand the series is about alien cavemen but having a single dragon on their side at this point may be the only thing to save them all.

Fuck me i love this series. But booo i never want them to go home. But itd be cool if some tried to and crashed on another planet with alien dudes that were dragon shifters lol the irony. And oooo they were still able to communicate with bune so they and the other planet of married with kids ladies could check up on eachothers progress and help eachother and like ae could see their future kids relationships idk im going full family tree here but then finding out the shifter dragon alien dudes have like less stone age and more maybe advanced like maybe 1800s ish or some other fun era like maybe medieval era or maybe they could see another planet thats even more advanced than earth maybe the ex aliens long forgottwn origin planet and damn i need like 10 seasons of this scenario to binge watch tbh.

Me gustó.

A very solid 4.5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow, what a comeback from the last book and a great way to return to the elements that made this series great in the first place! I absolutely looooved this book. This is Ashlynn’s story. The book is exceedingly suspenseful, rife with unknown dangers everywhere. Remarkably strange and dangerous creatures that have not been previously encountered in the series were introduced. Further, more time was devoted to getting to know and understand the main characters as well as the adventurous elements, and less focus on the sex (although gladly, the sexual encounters were not sacrificed😛🤗).

Ashlynn starts out being rather weak and wimpy to me; however, as the story progresses, she shows her true mettle, a hidden strength she had never known she possessed. Juri’ex, the caveman, was an extremely interesting character, and his background plucked at my heartstrings. He also has the greatest sense of wry humor that really enhanced the story and made Juri’ex that much more memorable.

Juri’ex is tasked with the mission to accompany Ashlynn to Bune, the downed spacecraft of aliens who left their planet when dragons attacked them. Their exploration of the spaceship added even more depth to the story. The question remains-can they find a way to power the spaceship to take them back to earth, which is light years away, and even if they can, who would even want to go back?

This is a fantastic addition to this series. The introduction of new elements to the story augmented this book and greatly elevated its appeal— it’s one of my favorites. Very glad the series is back on track!!! I can’t wait for the next installment, Mia’s story (book 10).

This series keeps getting better and better!
When I first encountered Juri’ex, I thought he might be a bit full of himself. Not so. By the time he and Ashlynn were on their way to Bune, he was being sweet to her, always concerned with her feelings. They are so good together. His sense of humor is clever and delivered with a straight face. Ashlynn is no slouch, she dishes it right back to him.
I’ve always thought that the old spaceship, Bune, was a creepy place. It’s slowly revealing some of its mysteries, but that makes it no less dangerous! Ashlynn, regarding Xren: “It is a very honest planet. It just wants you dead.” This is an incredibly exciting story that left me breathless at times! And there are more stories to come.

The story is getting good

This is getting really good with the girls and dragons. I can’t believe we are seeing more dragons and that the cavemen are getting more aggressive. I liked the plot with Bune. I am just so excited for what’s coming up next.

Other challenges

Loved the turn of the story. Was not expected this intro based on blurb
Enjoyed his teenage pivotal moment story and the wrap up.
Did not understand why they did not send a few warriors back to the island as soon as they reached new settlement. Illogical. But the rest was great.
In my opinion there is no way there would not be more comforts on the ship, especially with the revelations they made. No bathrooms? Where are the parts, etc for maintenance? And why arent there little cleaning robots, gardening, etc ones.
There definitely would be some humans and cavemen that would want to live in the ship. Not to mention they would want to show them the dragon pictures. Side part, human woman would have insisted onsome the couches because the ground is hard on body. There also should have furniture, beds made already. If they can build a kiln, house, they can build outhouses, etc. As well as some kind of gravity indoor fed sink, maybe bathhouse like days of old for the women and kids.
Not to mention pottery food storage. And melting the dragon glass for other uses. Ooh, and making salt.

I love this series and yes you should read from the beginning especially at this is close to the end of the series so some of the reveals make more sense you do. Ashlynn is one of the unmated Earth girls. The girls are closer than ever to finding a way back to their planet and that's her focus. Juri’ex is chosen to be her bodyguard. He's leery of the new tribe of cavemen and their human mates and thinks the girls' problems aren't his. He's intrigued by Ashlynn and as they get to know each other she comes to understand how her fellow survivors could fall in love with cavemen. All the heroes in the series are alpha cavemen who never seen a women before but are all taught to worship women sexually. Imagine being stranded on a planet with virgin men already taught and eager to use their knowledge of pleasuring a woman??!! Sign me up. Their alien anatomy notwithstanding, these guys know how to get the job done. More is also revealed about their mutual enemy and how their new home came to be.

The series is slowly diverting its focus from development of romance between the pairs to them basically panting after each other, facing some danger with dinos/dragons and followed by which, every guy proposes to the girl in the ‘life-or-death situation”.
-_-

My interest in the series is declining ever since Book #6. Don't get me wrong, the underlying plot is quite good and will keep you hooked but the mainstream ‘romance’ between the pairs is getting more and more unsatisfactory as the series progresses.

There's no chance for the ML and FL to spend quality time together except when they go at it like bunnies or they're busy trying to navigate through the jungle.

It seems like at this point, every girl wants to bag a caveman so that they can feel ‘safe and protected’ and maybe they're internally jealous of their friends' newfound happiness with their own cavemen.

The books basically have two dramatic points around which the whole plot is constructed:-
A. The ML's evil tribe.
B. The Bune.

I'm quite curious to see how it'll all end.

9 books down!

Caveman Alien’s Sword Book 9
By Calista Skye
Kindle unlimited purchase
Ashlynn is the best (and only) roofer in the tribe. She is also the only physics student in the group, and she suspects that a lot of the problems with Bune will become hers to solve. But she dreads the responsibility - she was never a good student.
Juri’ex is asked to take Ashlynn to Bune when Delyah asks for her help at Bune.
This book made me laugh my but off. (No spoilers) but ask yourself the question of "what could be" when you read chapter 1.
Because of Rax’tar (from book 8) the cavemen and the females are now separated from each other.
14 books in the series! I recommend reading them in order and readers over the age of 18

More yummy yummy lore for me to snack on! Oh how I love it!

Ashlynn is a sweetheart and very relatable for me, with her overbearing mother who could never be pleased and a serious lack of confidence. I loved watching her grown and find herself with her caveman by her side, she needs his support but in the end she find strength in her own way as well.

Juri’ex starts out a little unlikeable if I’m completely honest, but he’s really a good natured guy who just wants to be valued for what he provides, which is a lot. I liked learning more about his back story and why he is so stand off ish. He does warm to Ashlynn pretty quick though but that makes sense with her personality, they really mesh well.

All I’m gonna say is… DRAGONS!!!

Damn Dragons

Ashlynn and Juri'ex sound like a really fun couple. He has a really dry sense of humor and plays Ashlynn well and she knows how to get him started with the sex. Their story is very dramatic and different with much difficulty at the end because of the dragon who has gotten on Bune and been sending Juri'ex mental messages. Great love story.

Caveman Alien's Sword

Juri'ex has an extremely long sword and because he is big even for a warrior he is able to wield it. Then he is requested to bodyguard a woman going to Bune the spaceship. So starts his burgeoning relationship with a new woman. There are grammatical errors to deal with so only a four star rating.

Quick read, great laughs

I love that there are so many options to read even within the same genre of books. This series is a quick read. Always good for a similar type of story but with unique characters and each couple comes together in a different manner. I love this couple and their attractions. One of my most favorite in this series

I love this series!

I find myself taking breaks between the books, but not because I don’t Like them. It’s because I want to stretch this series out as long as possible! I love the sci-fi this series gives me! I love the romance too!

great plot development

But somewhat boring and depressing and just sad. The banter between the two was great and different than prior books not as reverant. But there was sooooo much inner monologue and long speeches it made some parts of the book drag

I think this is my favourite so far. I genuinely felt the peril and tension in this one. I feared for the characters far more than any of the others in the series.

Technobabble was a bit much at times but I got past it. Solid 4.75 stars rounded up to 5 cause Goodreads doesn’t do less than full stars.

LOL talk about not having priorities straight. There are thousands of dragons they need to fight with the cavemen only having primitive weapons to weild and everyone is pregnant and popping out kids one after another. 🤣

EXCELLENT Again 😁

This series has been going on for nine stories now and each has been well worth reading 😊. But now the Dragons are coming and there's a whole lot of them 🤔. Thanks again Calista, I can't wait to see what happens next 🤓.

I made the mistake of starting with this one. It really can’t be a stand alone. I also was puzzled by phrases like “his rod in my tunnel’. It just doesn’t work for me. YMMV it was. DNF at 33%
