A cold case. A grisly murder. Can a teenage heroine solve the crimes before she’s the next to go missing?
Darcy hops a plane to Florida for a little R&R, but before the wheels hit the tarmac, she's already working on a new mystery—the disappearance of a five-year-old boy.
Joining forces with a local reporter, she soon discovers those closest to the case are guarding more secrets than the Sphinx. As she races to find the truth, Darcy gets tangled up in a separate murder investigation.
Is there no rest for the weary? And why has her relationship status with Dylan suddenly moved from best friends to “it’s complicated?”

What is it about some sequels that leave you with a bad taste in your mouth?
I don't know either, but let me ASSURE you that this sequel is NOT one of those!
I don't know how AJ Lape does it, but she brings her characters to life on each page of her books.

Well legs aka Dark aka Darcy is one of those girls, you know the type...wait no you don't. She has an IQ if 160. She is stunning and she is damaged goods. She does poorly at school, it bores her and she tries to right some wrongs in the world. In the process she puts herself in mortal danger.
She always wanted brothers. So all the boys who go gagga over her gets honorary brother status. All but Dylan.
Dylan is the type of guy that makes me go..no wonder you love this guy.
This book is the second in the series. And I loved book one but I absolutely adore book 2. It is as if as Darcy grows up we the readers get to know her. Really know her. And her teenage hormones-be warned is even higher than her IQ.
This is an amazing read. One I would recommend to everybody.
All right so I thought I would sneak a peak at my girl Darcy.. Needed to see what she was up too... You know then sit book aside. (It was going to be my beach read) I had a plan- shoot plan straight OUT of the window! AJ Lape.. What the heck! Loved it!
Darcy caught me and never let me go.. I skipped meetings. (Shhhh) Missed a lunch or two! Darcy's mouth and attitude kept me fed on a steady stream of wit, hysterics and over all damn good time!
Darcy is a Hot mess! I actually love this about her. She captured me in book one and it stuck! Smart, and smart mouthed add that up and it's Darcy Walker perfection. Dylan is "q the swooning" well let's just say he is just what any crazy, insanely riot of a gal should fall head over heels about. Even if they would eat nails before they admit it. Haha!
This installment takes us on a trip to Orlando Florida. Home of a mouse and everyone person in Ohio's vacation spot. (I'm from there and I tell you buckeyes love the sunshine state) So while Darcy is on vacation with Dylan and the family.. Why not get into some trouble, mystery and over all Darcy dilemma - it would not be her if this happened differently. Darcy makes sense in only a way she can, plus by the time it's over. You have your own love for all things "darcyismed" yes I made that up! However for me it makes sense. Once you read the books you will be walking along and something you see or hear well that is such a darcyism! Trust me here, I speak the truth! Her relationship with Dylan, be it different works! (Made me crazy too) AJ gives us one crazy, exceptional cast of characters! Colton, Lincoln, Zander and of course Twitchy. They are just wonderful and all add to the story. Who would have thought it but they all work. All this takes us on one heck of a ride. Once again AJ has a hit on her hands. I loved Darcy before, now I feel like we are old friends catching up. I know though of course this girl would get me in hot water for sure. Really AJ, cliffy much? Girl you and I might have to a serious convo! I loved this addition and cannot wait to see what happens next! Congrats to the wonderful AJ Lape. You have done it again! Bravo!
We wanted more, and boy oh boy, AJ did NOT disappoint. Book two in the Darcy Walker series brings back everything we loved from the beginning plus more! The mystery, the danger, the suspense, the humor, cat fights; No Brainer has it all.
So you are going to go on a summer vacation with your super hot best friend and his family. You would be able to stay out of trouble wouldn’t you? Well not Darcy Walker. In typical Darcy fashion, Darcy is back to being a verb and refusing to be a noun. And now she is taking it up a notch, sticking her nose in more than one dangerous situation.
No Brainer is another amazing 5 star story. You will be laughing until you cry and biting your nails over the suspense. I recommend this book to the young and the young at heart. Everyone will find this read enjoyable. And fear not! The third book of this series will be out this fall. I can’t wait to read about Darcy’s next exciting journey.
Darcy, Darcy Darcy..... You had me laughing and wanting to slap you silly the whole way through this adventure in Florida. You just can't seem to find a normal way to pass your time, can you? Yes, it is very altruistic of you to make it your mission to find a missing boy, whom you have no connection with. In the meantime, you cause all kind of trouble for yourself. Switching gears, what the heckity heck! We all know you love your BFF, please don't deny it. He is by your side through all of your shenanigans...which will probably leave him with a full head of grey hair before he turns 20! Some may think you are stupid because of your ability to find the most dangerous trouble possible.. That may possibly be... Or she is training (unbeknownst to her) to be the world's best spy... Who knows! All I can say is this book was a page turner! I couldn't put it down. I actually went through withdraws when I HAD to put it down! Seriously, I did! The only thing is, I am STILL left scratching my head... WHO IS YELLOW CHARGER DUDE from Grade A Stupid!!!!!! I thought I was going to have my suspicions either confirmed or proven wrong... I better find out in the next book!! Oh, and that bonus chapter? OMG! I am not sure what to think. Knowing what we know about Grizzly, should we be grossed out or not with knowing his particular aversions when it comes to "women'???? AHHHH! The fall cannot come fast enough!
This book was given to me for free by the author for an honest review.
“Another action-pack and exciting adventures of Darcy Walker plus new hilarious characters that will literally blow your mind.”
Darcy Walker seems to have a trouble-radar hiding inside her wicked brain of hers. I absolutely love her in spite of her flaws which is kind of realistic for a heroine to have. I also love the new characters that were introduced in the story such as Colton, Willow and Dylan’s grandfather. I guess, I love all the characters AJ had written. They all had this incredible chemistry that if they are all brought together it will be a phenomenal hit.
I will always love Darcy’s relationship with Dylan. I just hope they move forward and have a label. They look like they’re married already plus Dylan’s family just love Darcy. So it’s a plus. Moreover, I think Darcy’s investigative skills is on its’ way to being an FBI or PI expert and I would love to see her college days. I’m beginning to think it’s gonna be an awesome idea.
Overall, AJ Lape never disappointed me. It deserves more than five stars. I always hope for Darcy and Dylan’s future to be a happy ever forever.
Darcy does it again! If you loved Grade A Stupid (book 1 in this series), you will love this book. Filled with more Darcy-isms, laugh-out-loud moments, a whole lot 'oh no she did not just do that' scenarios, this book will have you laughing and gasping! Darcy read older to me in this book, meaning I didn't feel a 15 year old would do a lot of the things she did, but that did not detract from the entertainment factor! The romance was amped up between Dylan and Darcy and made interesting by a couple of different love triangles (with Kyd and Yankee). I found myself wanting to muffle Darcy in order to let Dylan speak, while smacking Dylan in the back so that he'd spit out what he wanted to say. By the end, Dylan spoke his peace, and there we're left hanging! I truly look forward to the next book in this series.
This book left me wanting so much more! Darcy never fails to make me laugh, want to cry at times and leave me completely mesmerized! Dylan and Darcy's relationships leaves me wanting to strangle both of them and push them together all at once! I read this book in a days time. I could not put it down! I fell in love with the characters in the first book and fell even harder in this one! I love going to Darcyville and am so ready for my next vacation/investigation or whatever you want to call it there!! Love it!!!
No Brainer is an excellent read. I would recommend this book to anyone of any age to read. The Author, A.J.Lape, takes the reader on a journey with Darcy and friends. Darcy keeps you guessing what she will get into next. This is an exciting book.
Fantastic read!! I fell in love with Darcy and her curiosity!! This book is filled with suspense, action and enough sexual tension to last awhile!!! Can't wait for the next one. Highly recommend to everyone!!
No Brainer is another 5 star win for A.J. Lape. This book is perfectly written. Hilarious, emotional and full of action and suspense. Welcome back to Darcyville.
Darcy is about to go on vacation with the Taylor’s to Orlando. So what does Darcy do? She watches the newspapers to see if anything is happening down there. Well there is. A little boy named Cisco Medina was kidnapped and they have no leads. Darcy being the type of girl she is, is determined to find the little boy. All the while she has to lie and sneak around Dylan and dodged the advances of Kyd who lives next door. Darcy doesn’t think it will be easy but she doesn’t think it will be all bad. Well Darcy’s middle name is trouble (it’s really Winston) and before she knows it she is crashing through windows and fighting off bad guys. Welcome to Darcyville.
Darcy Walker is Nothing but Verb and it’s about to get her in trouble…again.
Holy Crap!!! This book was good. I can never get enough of Darcy. She is always getting into trouble and you always know it’s going to be big. Darcy doesn’t do small. So here she is trying to solve another case while trying to stay alive…..again. You’d think a girl would learn but not Darcy. She is one heck of a chick. I would’ve peed my pants with some of the situations she gets herself into. She keeps me on my toes and that’s the fun part. I loved every minute of this book!!!! Seriously, people you need Darcy Walker in your lives. You have no idea what you are missing. You have teenage angst, murder mysteries, kidnap victims, and so so much more packed into on awesome sized book. I’m not going to be a blabber mouth and give you all the deets because then you’d know what's going to happen and where is the fun in that??? One more thing before I go. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING AJ, WITH AN ENDING LIKE THAT?!?!?!? Do you like to torture me? Because that’s what you are doing. I feel like a part of my soul is missing and it can only be replaced with the next book. I cried in this book, laughed out loud like and idiot (my grandmother thought I was insane) and I just love the adventures Darcy takes me to. So how about you dolls, go out and buy No Brainer to see what all the fuss is about. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
Dylan, you sexy man flesh you. Please come to Alabama so I can love on you. :D *sobs* Ok now that I got that out LOL Dylan is Darcy’s best friend and he plans to keep it that way. You mess with Darcy, you mess with him….and trust me you don’t want to go down that road. You couldn’t have a better friend than him, yes he yells at Darcy sometimes but that’s because he cares. I want a Dylan in my life. ;)
Darcy, you are one crazy chick, who I love and adore. I’m talking like they are real…say something about it. LOL anyways she can’t stay still and has diarrhea of the mouth in the most crucial of circumstances…like when a gun is pointed at her. I would like to be in her mind for a day and then yet again I don’t. I don’t think I would be able to handle it. When you can’t find her solving crimes she is probably munching on a cookie. :D
Quotes!
I'm Darcy Walker, and I fear Death will always follow me
In one instant, he poured all that hot-blooded animal magnetism onto Mary. My temperature shot up. The room swayed. I swear if there’d been a nun around, she would’ve dropped her robe and begged, make me a bad-girl Dylan … please.
I stumbled upon AJ Lape and her first book Grade ‘A’ Stupid a little over 6 months ago by sheer luck and chance. Winning an e-copy from a random caption contest, that is still to this day my best win ever! Not only did I win a book I have reread over and over again, but a friendship of a lifetime with an author who is honestly cares for her readers. AJ Lape really loves her fans and enjoys reading along with us, sharing in ur reading experience. She is truly a gifted and amazing author who crafts us stories that r both gut busting hilarious and nail-bitingly suspenseful!
No Brainer was No Exception! As the second book in The Darcy Walker Series, AJ Lape mixed it up a little, giving us a whole new cast of Crazy and Kooky characters and a destination relocation, making this a perfect summer read! Though this change was fun, I did find myself at times missing Vinnie, Grumpy and Gang. I also missed not having at least one Murphyism or Murphy Mental Meltdown per chapter. That said, Miss Lape still managed to have me in stitches regardless, with all of Darcy’s suspenseful non-stop silliness!
As for the ending, well…….
This is an actual message I sent AJ upon finishing after staying up ALLLLLL night reading. (Needless to say, I was more than a lil persnickety!)
Justine Littleton 10:40am Ok, first I just finished. And have NOT slept yet, so I'm a lil cranky! Second, R U F*#8ING KIDDING ME!!! R U TRYING TO KILL ME WITH A PAINFULLY HORMONAL SLEEP DEPRIVED DEATH!?!
No worries fellow readers, Virginia Cantrell and I have a kidnap plan and hideaway ready to go; So I foresee book 3, 100 Proof Stud scheduled for Fall 2013, being epic and TIMELY!!!............ Otherwise the desk and chains are on order.
In this, the second installment of the Darcy Walker series. It seems that our lovely, albeit "too nosy for her own good, or that of anyone else;" Darcy has flown her way into Orlando and trouble. That's right folks. Not even an all expense paid trip to Florida with her bodacious best bud Dylan, and his family is enough to keep this baby Bloodhound off the scent of murder, missing kids, mayhem and mystery for long. Darcy is once again in top sleuthing form as she sets her sights on cases involving a missing child and mob bosses. You would think that being just six months out from her last corpse filled caper; she would just want to relax. You would be wrong. Not only is Darcy out to save the day. She is bound and determined to bring a whole host of wonderfully wacky characters with her in the process.
As if all this is not enough...
Things between Dylan and Darcy seem to be heating up as well. It seems as though these two may have to rethink that "hands off rule." That is if Darcy can stay out of the hands of some people who want to be very "hands on" with her in a very deadly way.
A.J. Lape has managed to create fresh scenarios for Darcy to weave her way in and of. While still allowing Darcy to muddle her way through with her odd combination of wit, brains, and Darcyness. This book may be the second in the series, but it is written as a stand alone. The Darcyisms are also back and better than ever. If you thought you liked Darcy before...you'll love her now!
No Brainer pretty much picks up right where Grade A Stupid left off. Darcy Walker completes school and is going on vacation with Dylan Taylor and his family to Orlando. She does some research on the happenings of Orlando and sees an article about a 5 year old boy named Cisco Medina that has gone missing. Cisco has been missing for about 4 months and there have been no leads. Darcy decides that she is going to find Cisco while she is in Florida. She has 2 weeks to do it and she can’t let the Taylors know what she’s doing.
She’s back at the hijinx of impersonating people, breaking and entering, consorting with suspicious people, etc. To make matters worse, Dylan’s grandfather is a police officer and is working on a case that involves the mob. While she is trying to help him with his case, she is secretly trying to get his help with hers. There is no shortage of Darcy getting into trouble with the Taylors and the Federal government (after breaking into the FBI database). She also has unwanted attention from the Taylors neighbor’s son, Kyd Knoblecker (soft k). Then, there’s Dylan’s weird behavior that makes her question his feelings for her as well as her feelings for him. Life is so complicated.
If you’ve read Grade A Stupid, then I don’t have to tell you that No Brainer is an awesome book as well. I was still laughing out loud and shaking my head at the dumb things that Darcy would do. I can not stress to everyone enough that these books are so worth the read. A.J. Lape has a lifelong stalker now and I will be anxiously, albeit impatiently, awaiting the next Darcy Walker book!
I received an ARC for an hones review Review by The a club
It's vacation time. Darcy is leaving for two weeks to Florida with Dylan's family before school starts. Already Darcy is looking for something to do because let's face it, it's been a while since the last incident that ended with a school shooting and the killer of the dumpster murders caught. Finding a boy had been kidnapped months before she decides maybe it's time to do some research and see if she can find anything out to help.
During this story, I seriously wonder how Darcy does it. Somehow she gets info that just about any normal person wouldn't be able to get. She has a keen eye for observation, smart mind that constantly runs info, and the innocent persona that keeps people from seeing her as a threat. She manages to dig deep into a web of lies and deceit to find the little boy kidnapped while also putting herself in danger in more ways than one. I'm surprised she hasn't been injured seriously yet.
Her relationship with Dylan always has me confused also. I find him to be a jerk of epic proportions constantly stringing her along. Not in a I want you, just kidding way but in a nobody-can-have-you-but-me but anyone-can-have-me-but-you. I also believe he wants her but is too afraid to tell her this. Everyone sees it but I wonder if she will give him the chance when that time comes.
Her wit, excuses, and sarcasm are entertaining to say the least and have me laughing. I can't wait to read what happens next. The author definitely takes the Nancy Drew stories and gives them a funny twist.
I love this series! Hands down, you just never know what to expect.
Darcy is once screwed up teenager, and you love her for it. She is extremely intelligent, has a vocab that leaves me in hysterics and bonds of friendship that boggle the mind.
Dylan is the all american perfect guy, who is everything to Darcy, even if she won't admit it completley.
No Brainer takes us on one heck of a trip to Orlando with Dylan's family. In true Darcy style, she inserts herself into a mystery and spends the next few weeks in one adventure after another.
Her brand of justification is awesome. She makes everything make so much sense in a warped way. She has the most odd relationship with Dylan her best friend / soulmate. They are without a doubt the perfect pair for each other.
This is one heck of a story, I loved getting to know Lincoln, Colton, Kyd, Twitchy, Zander and the rest of the gang. It gave us alot of insight into Dylan.
I love how Darcy gets these guys to be her "brothers", a 5 yr old kid, a seasoned tattoo artist and etc.. She is amazing and its even more amazing that she has their back, and they have hers. She builds herself this totally screwed up extended family, but it works.
I can't wait to for book 3. Damn cliffhangers!!!
This story has everything you could ask for. I couldn't put it down and wanted to cry when I hit the end. The story is so full and rich.
I loved No Brainer as much or more than I loved Grade A Stupid, and that's saying a lot. AJ Lape has penned a wickedly woven mystery/thriller that has a bit of everything--romance, swoon, tension, angst, frustration. I'm tempted to read it again just to piece together the threads I dropped along the way. Here's one of my favorite lines, "...you could only make peace for so long before you had to draw the battle lines." To me that meant you can only take someone's pressure and keep quiet so long until you had to draw boundaries. This isn't just a mystery, there's life lessons buried in this book.
An entertaining and complex set of characters grace (or gack, as the case may be) the pages, creating a unique and smart read. I'll just comment on two of the main ones, but I enjoyed them all. Darcy is a girl too clever for her own good, playing the cards life has dealt her the best way she knows how, which usually bucks tradition. I laughed out loud at many of her antics and thoughts. Dylan is her awesome friend who comes across as wise beyond his years at times, yet other times he's a quite the fighter, but deep down, always a sweetheart. Swoon.
There's a huge, unexpected twist at the end of the book. Even though I already knew there was more to the story, the twist complicates things even more. AJ's got some talent and I look forward to the next in the Darcy Walker Series!
I have just finished this book and let me tell you, it let me flabbergasted. I can't believe what just happened. I would give it 5000 stars if possible. Truly I don't even have words, this was one of the best books I've read this year, and trust me I've read a lot. Darcy is her exquisite self as always, Dylan is my dream guy. I just hope Darcy could see herself better, because her self-esteem issues are larger than life. It's clear to me that she's a knockout. And Dylan is head over heels for her. I think she's afraid of more, of not being enough for him even if he really sees her as more than he could wish. I hope that will be clarified in later books.
One more thing: WTF happened in the end?????? You are such a mean girl Ms. Lape. How could you???? Now I'm gonna frustrate over those events till fall. You really can't do this to me. I have a small kid who I have to take care of and believe me stress over Darcy and Dylan should not be on my TO DO list. That ending gave me heart pause. I literally entered a state of shock. I hope for my sake and yours that we have some happy news in the third book. PLEASSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I need to clear up one thing right now, I gave Grade A Stupid (the first book in the Darcy Walker Series) five stars because I thought it was superb. I guess I need six stars for No Brainer because, hard as it is to believe, it is even better than the first one!!! It picks up pretty much where the first one ended, but it goes deeper. We get to meet and get to know Dylan, Darcy's best friend who was largely absent in the first book, and his family. Darcy is on a two week vacation with Dylan and his family in Orlando but this is no Disney trip.
Darcy, Darcy, Darcy.... She's off and running again. She gets involved with the case of a kidnapped child, some professional gamblers and the Mafia. She wrestles with growing up, responsibility, romance and a head on the beach that is missing it's body. And THEN things start to get exciting. I hope that author A.J. Lape is hard at work on Book Three because she left us blindsided with a killer cliffhanger and I am ready for my next Darcy fix!!! This book is written in the Young Adult genre, but it is still entertaining enough to hold the interest of anyone of any age, young adult and up.
In this second installment we see Darcy go away to Florida for two weeks with Dylan and his family. Now you may think, 'okay she is with Dylan, how can she possibly get into any trouble?' well Darcy is Darcy and it doesnt help that Dylans grandfather Lincoln works in the police force. This book gets more and more gripping the more you read it. Today I could not put it down until I had finished it. I was intrigued in Darcy as she tried to track down a five year old boy called Cisco who has been kidnapped whilst wondering how the case Lincoln was working on would some how cross paths. Whilst all this is going on both Darcy and Dylan are battling with their feelings for each other and I do love the will they? wont they? scenario. I know others just roll their eyes but with Darcy's insecurities and the fact that lets say they get together and it doesnt work out then they have lost the other as a best friend. I want to know will they? :) I still have one other burning question......What happened to Darcy's mum? Please tell me soon as it is killing me.
Two weeks before senior year, Darcy takes off with Dylan and his family to their vacation home in Florida. Before she even gets on the plane, she checks an Orlando newspaper and finds a mystery she just HAS to solve. Will she find the missing boy before it's time to go home? Can she manage it WITHOUT getting herself killed?!
When the Darcy ship hits an iceburg, she hits the biggest one! This was a great read! A. J. just sucks the reader into her stories. My heart was beating so hard at some parts, it was that intense. If you read when it's quiet, be prepared to scare someone (I scared the cat AND the dog) when you randomly burst out laughing. I about died laughing when she said Mother May I?! To tell you more would ruin it. This book is a fun, intense, and frustrating read, that just makes the reader want to slap the characters at times. Luckily the next one comes out soon. I don't think I could wait a year for it, A. J. really knows how to write a cliffhanger!
Darcy Walker is a 15 year-old girl obsessed with trouble. Danger is her crack addiction. What’s worse than seeking out an untimely death? In Darcy’s case it’s her mouth. She says the most outrageous things at the worst possible moments. Here's an example: With a gun to her head, this girl tried initiating a mobster into her “brotherhood”. She even gave him the secret handshake.
No Brainer by AJ Lape is another wild, hilarious ride in the Darcy Walker Series, sure to leave its readers gasping for air and yearning for more.
A Letter to the author:
Dear A.J. Lape,
A Cliffhanger! Seriously! And what’s with this whole waiting until Fall of 2013 thing for the next release? Fall of 2013 is three months away.....at least! That’s just mean.
Trouble seems to follow Darcy or maybe shes just a magnet for trouble. No Brainer is super fun, and gives us a Darcy who is a little more grown up, not wiser, just a tad more nosier and resourceful. Darcy had me laughing from page one. With her witty one liners and her private eye skills there's never a dull moment. Off to Orlando we go. For some fun in the sun with Dylan's family. Right? Well sort of, Darcy trouble magnet starts up even before lift off. A missing child and a crime boss become the number one priority for Darcy. Let us not forget the hottie best friend Dylan. Everyone sees more and Darcy seems to be blind to this fact. Come join the ride. A. J. did a great job with the new characters, great story line. Don't miss out, an excellent book for any age.
I am absolutely loving this series. Darcy is an absolute crack up and makes me laugh right throughout. I think the relationship between Darcy and Dylan though is seriously frustrating the life out of me. It is majorly unfair that Dylan can go out with other girls and have them kiss on him and feel him up but poor Darcy is not allowed to do any of that. I think that is rather unfair and a little bit chauvinistic of Dylan. Darcy loves Dylan beyond a doubt and does what he says when it comes to most things. I just want to see these two finally get together without the games of Dylan playing other girls because I'm starting to not like him very much. And the ending.....OMG I need to keep reading and find out what happens next....what an ending!!!! A.J Lape you're fantastic.
A whole new cast of fabulous characters invades Darcy’s world when she travels to Orlando for vacation. On a serious ADHD binge, Darcy juggles two separate mysteries while driving Dylan’s family crazy in the process. The romance factor is jacked up a notch as Darcy wrestles with her evolving feelings for two seemingly perfect guys and fends off the advances of several seriously imperfect ones. The danger here is upped as well. No longer dealing with high school thugs, she’s in deep with mobsters who would rather chop off an appendage than look at her. All the humor and goofiness that is Darcy Walker is still exactly where it should be, and I laughed all the way through the book. I just can’t get enough of this fantastic mystery series!
Where to begin. Darcy is going on vacation with her best friend Dylan and his family to Orlando. Of course before she gets there she reads the paper and sees that a little boy is missing and she cant help herself but to get involved. She calls the guy who wrote the newspaper article pretending to have info on the disappearance. Would you expect anything less from Darcy? She is up to her normal self. She is still pretending to be people to try and get info and also gets involved with the mob. This book had me laughing so hard and wanting to know what was going to happen next. I could not put it down. Hurry up with the third book lol.
Awesome.I loved this second book, a slight different vibe in this one, I think it's because she's growing up and hormones are a raging. The mystery of the book is good i dunno how this girl see's dead bodies and acts like it's nothing special, i felt she was very veronica mars in this book and i loved that, only problem it was left with a cliffhanger and got to wait to find out what happens:(,I really hope this series is long as i want to see college years/or police academy years and for her to be with D.(love's young dream*sigh*).
Darcy is back in A.J. Lape's new novel "No Brainer". Filled with mystery, thrills, humor and some new characters, this book is one that you won't be able to put down. "No Brainer" is the second book in 'The Darcy Walker Series' but one that can stand alone, although I wouldn't recommend it since you'll be missing so much of Darcy's explorations. Highly recommended for all YA and not so YA readers.
This review is based on a complimentary copy from the author which was provided for an honest review.
A FB friend recommend this series to me and I'm very happy she did, I loved the first book Grade A Stupid, and this second book has not disappointed either. A totally absorbing read, yet again I was dragged into Darcy's world of stumbling upon a crime that needs solving , where one minute you're laughing at her Sharp wit, next cringing for her as something embarrassing happens, and then hoping she manages to get out of a sticky situation. Bring on book 3, ready and waiting.
