No one knows or tells their stories, even their names are unknown. Many of their husbands’ stories are unknown, as well. Now, Angelique tells their thought-provoking stories as though they sat beside her, whispering into her ear. These are found in her series Ancient Matriarchs.
Angelique discovered the wonders of writing books later in her life. Books, however, have always been important. As a little girl in a small town in southern Utah, she was given her own library card at the tender age of five, highly unusual in those days. She remembers walking the few blocks to the library on her own to choose the maximum number of books allowed in those days, four nice, thick books. She took them back three or four days later for four more. As she got older, she occasionally returned the books a day or two past the limit of two weeks. The librarians allowed her to straighten the stacks to pay off her fines. This introduced her to the Dewey Decimal System of organizing books early in life.
Angelique reads a book or three much of the time. She reads most genre`s of books, often toying with the idea of writing a few herself. Her sister challenged her to participate in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in 2013. She won that year and several others, writing the beginnings of the books in Ancient Matriarchs. Since then, she has spent many hours each day learning the craft of writing, editing, and publishing.
Studying and writing about Eve, and other matriarchs, gave her a deeper understanding of the challenges faced in a new world. Many of the questions women want to know about her life, such as: Who helped her give birth? How did the learn to feed themselves? Who taught Eve about raising children? How did they learn to write? Though the answers cannot be historically accurate, they “feel right.”
Angelique followed her husband around the world as he served in the United States Navy. Her favorite place to live was Hawaii. Though Gibraltar was interesting, it wasn’t her favorite place to live. She received a BED in Education from the University of Hawaii and a MS from Utah State University. She taught grade school for 14 years in Utah.
Angelique strives to do her best to obey the command given to Eve to replenish the earth. She has five children and nine grandchildren, so far. Her goal is to be a noble matriarch like Eve.
Angelique lives in southern Nevada with her husband, love bird, and two turtles. She looks forward to visits from her grandchildren—and their parents.

A strong woman with a handicap but determined to live as normal a life as possible. As a child, Zehira was persecuted by others, teased and made fun of because of her deformed foot, which meant that she could not run and play the way other children could. She was called a cripple as she had to walk with the aid of a crutch. Her main tormentor was Hadar, who lived in the same village as she did, but Hadar's wicked words were not only reserved for her, he teased his younger brother Enoch who stuttered, almost as mercilessly. But Enoch understood and felt for the young Zehira and the two friends grew up to fall in love and marry.
Enoch grew up, and became a chosen prophet of God and the couple were blessed with a large family of 10 children. Zehira's life was not easy but she worked hard and supported her husband the best she could. Enoch moved their family to live in Zion, a town he founded where people who loved God lived by his rules.
The story of Zehira is one of a patient and caring woman, who when necessary, will find the strength to do what she needs to, to look after her family and loved ones. It is inspiring and paints an eye opening picture of life in ancient times. I would certainly recommend this to other readers.

Angelique Conger has captivated me once again with her book Moving into Light: Zehira,Wife of Enoch, Book Four in the Ancient Matriarch series. Although Zehira is deformed, she a strong woman that does not let her handicap hold her back. She fights tormentors as she looks after her family and loved ones. Her journey shows Zehira's strength and courage as she faces challenges. Angelique has a way of drawing us into her stories. Well done!

Enjoyment
I am an avid reader, all my life. So finding a book that fuels my passion and my interest is a coup I live for. My only problem with the books are I can not get anything done. I am constantly saying " just one more" chapter. Before I know it the day is gone or I have been up all night reading. I love it. Keep on with the series you have a fan and a friend for life. Gigi

Very beautifully written story.
A story of struggles and strife, of strength and courage. A woman born with a beautiful soul but a disability that made her struggle over her own abilities. She never gave up no matter what. She was a very supportive wife mother and friend.

This was so very interesting. So original. Taking a giant step back into time into a fictional story of Zehira and Enoch. Their love. Their struggles. Their family. Their adventures.

I loved this book! It allows you to follow the miracles and blessings of those who believe in Jehovah. This is the story of Zehira, who lacks confidence in herself but ministers to others as God has asked her to do. In her obedience comes strength!
