For warriors, those words and the meaning behind them have been sacred law, ever since the first human picked up a stone in anger.
For Captain Shane Mallory, United Nations Air & Space Command, the spirit of those words rings no less true now than it did then.
Captain Mallory and the Special Operations soldiers assigned to her gunship have just completed a cake mission, and all are looking forward to some well-earned down time. But when a desperate distress call comes in over the communications wave, those sacred words—leave no one behind—will truly be put to the test.
Brad Thor’s edge-of-your-seat political thrillers meet the futuristic worlds of Isaac Asimov’s masterful science fiction.
This short story is boiling over with action. Even though there is little time for character development and world building it is sufficient to support the plot. The narrative style is well done. I enjoyed the story immensely. I recommend it to all readers especially those that like military sci-fi.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is very short and it did not let me learn about the characters. It did however give enough information to know that this could be made into a good series of books. The writing was good and the plot was standard sci fi military.
An ultra short but you do get a sense what the author is attempting which makes it hard to get a good sense of how you would like a series. The writing is good and i think it shows possibilities for a scifi miltary space opera but would need a longer book to see if i would follow an entire series
