A troubled ghost. A house full of suspects, and a mystery that needs solving. Lorna Shadow is back in a new ghost mystery. Joined by her best friend Helen, and her faithful dog, Flipper, Lorna must deal with Archie Musgrave, a stubborn ghost who doesn't believe his death was an accident.
As Lorna investigates, the list of suspects grows long, and the ghost becomes increasingly agitated.
When Archie's widow is almost killed, Lorna must act fast to stop anyone else from dying.
Follow Lorna in this fun, cozy ghost mystery, as she unmasks the killer and Archie gets the justice he deserves.
K.E. O’Connor is the author of the Witch Haven mystery series, the Crypt Witch cozy mysteries, the Lorna Shadow ghost mysteries, the Holly Holmes baking mysteries, the Zee Town paranormal cozy series, and the Old Sarum mystery series, along with other titles available if you cast the right spell. She can imagine dragons, taste cookies when they aren’t even there, and hear the crack of a witch’s broom at a hundred paces.
K.E. (the K stands for Karen) lives in the United Kingdom (it isn’t very united, but that’s a mystery for another time) among the mystical stones and fairy creatures of Somerset. She graduated from the Universities of Southampton and Reading, where she received degrees in Archaeology and Cognitive Evolution (both highly entertaining to take part in, but with the career options of a ground witch’s toe bone.)

Three and a half stars for an adequate read in need of more defined characters
I like the originality of a trio of temporary employees of grand estates; it's a great device for allowing locale changes and diversity of victims as well as means, motive, and opportunity. The writing is solid and the mysteries hold interest. However, Lorna, Helen, and Zach are nearly as colorless as the ghosts they seek justice for; the only true character insight is that Helen is a social climber (which apparently differs from being a gold digger in her mind!) and she's not even the lead. The paranormal aspects are varied, and I'd still like to see what "Ghostly Games" book 3 will offer.
Ghostly Secrets is the second book in the Lorna Shadow Cozy Ghost Mystery series. Lorna is back and has another mystery to solve. A ghost believes his death was not an accident. When danger comes to his widow, Lorna must rush to save her and figure out what really happened. This was another great story in this series, and I definitely recommend it.
I really like this series, it has a creative idea, and each book has new secondary characters and a new, paranormal plot. Very good character building and intriguing plotting. Thank you Ms O'Connor for another good read!
A 5 for a five star writer, as usual another brilliant storyline with great characters, I just love Lorna and Helen and of course Flipper. I have already got my mum into these books and she loves them.
Terrific! Another new job and once again the girls are faced with a ghost. Was he murdered as he claims? It is only with another attempted murder that the girls start to put the pieces together. Will they solve it before it's too late. Great cozy mystery.
I enjoy reading about Lorna and her ghost sensing dog Flipper. It seems as if every time they start a new job there is sure to be a ghost who needs help. You will enjoy these mysteries if you like the paranormal books.
Lorna and Helen have new jobs, and hope there are no ghosts to mess it up. But, if course, the recently deceased husband of their employer shows up to let them know his death was no accident! Great read, with lots of action and wonderful characters.
If your looking for a light mystery to read, this is a good choice. Vibrant characters and a plot that holds your attention from the first page to the last.
A most enjoyable mystery. Charming characters, lots of twists, humor, excitement and mystery. The ideal book to relax and escape from the everyday pressures.
I enjoy the cozy mysteries and this one was most enjoyable. Lorna sees ghosts and she and her friend Helen and the dog Flipper and Lorna's boyfriend Zach and his dog Jessie have a new job at an estate. When they arrive, Lorna gets some vibes that tell her there is a ghost around. It is the ghost of the previous owner who died in a riding accident or so it was said. He was murdered and wants Lorna to find out who murdered him. After some twists and turns, Lorna finds out who murdered Archie and now his widow and her new husband can get on with their lives and be happy together. I was given an Advanced copy of this book and am freely and voluntarily writing this review.
i kinda love this series as kinda a filler book between others- so funny, i love them running around after ghosts and the dog is amazing- nothing special, just fun and funky
Having a desperate headcold and unable to engage beyond third grade reading, I finished this book. The premise is silly and none if the characters have any depth or reality; the most interesting ones are the dogs. A beach or sickbed read, at most.
