Oh, I’m so excited about this new series by Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur. Two fantastic authors who know how to spin a tale!
And “boy howdy,” does this book have it all!
From swoon-worthy hunkiness to action-pack suspense!
I was captured from the first page!
I think I relate more to Ashley the nanny than I do to Brett the billionaire. I’ve never imagined living a life of wealth and having anything at my fingertips. That might be fun to experience. However, I don’t think I’d like the danger which brought these two together.
I did enjoy the banter between the little twins who Ashley is the nanny for. They really seem cute and full of life.
This story was packed with “who done it” moments and questions. I was totally shocked as the story unfolded.
Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur wrote a truly captivating story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait to read all about Colt and David’s lives. I loved the connections these three men have and the strong bonds they’ve developed over the years. It should be fun to see what happens in their lives.
I highly recommend reading this book if you like a bit of suspense, cuteness, and a whole lot of heat! You can’t go wrong with this book and you’ll be waiting on pins and needles for the next one to come out, just like me!

When Brett gets a call from Colt in the middle of the night he knows something is terribly wrong.
Brett will do anything to protect his brother and the twins. Ashley has been the nanny for the twins and protects them with her life. Watching Brett and Ashley protect the twins and each other will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful story. I had the honor to review this book for the authors for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

Talk about a wild ride! This book is chock full of action and adventure! And meanwhile, as you are trying to figure out who is the threat, the characters are stealing your heart. The twins have you giggling through their antics, while you enjoy the romance - first with Ashley playing matchmaker with Bretts’ wounded heart and the healing love of the Heavenly Father. Then, of course, there is the sweet romance of Brett and Ashley losing their hearts to each other. NOT a spoiler! It’s not like anyone DIDN’T see that coming!!! Now I am anxiously awaiting Colt and David’s stories!

I want to say that I am not a fan of billionaire books and really only read it because I like the authors' other books. I felt the swooning in this book was overdone. However, I did enjoy the suspense, the characters (other than the swooning), the backstory and the lead in for the books to follow.

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Brett: Billionaire Bodyguard. This is book one in the Billionaire Protectors Series. I always enjoy Alexa's books. I'm not sure if I've read any of Autumn's. I really enjoyed this book. It's well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Brett Jarvis is on his way home when he gets a call from his brother. He tells him that he thinks he's being followed. He's on his way to his lab as there was an explosion. Colt wants him to protect his kids. Brett is a security specialist so he calls his people to go help his brother and heads to his brothers home. The house is on fire when he arrives. He saves the twins and their nanny. When he learns his brother has disappeared he takes them to his best friends home. Then flies them out of the country. He is having a hard time with his attraction to the nanny. She isn't like the women he usually dates.
Ashley Lamott is the nanny of billionaire Colt Jarvis' children. She has had to fight her attraction to his billionaire playboy brother since day one. Now after their lives are all in danger she is forced in close contact with him. How is she suppose to deal with him? After her heart was broken she has swore off men, especially players.

This one starts fast and keeps you engaged the whole story. Brett gets a call in the middle of the night from his brother, Colt, asking him to take care of the twins, Austin and Kitty, if something happens to him, yet he doesn’t tell Brett what’s going on. Brett heads to Colt’s house and finds mischief in the making in a huge way. Taking Colt’s advice he grabs the twins and nanny, Ashley, and vows to protect them from whatever or whomever may be responsible for Colt’s disappearance. Brett has guilt a mile high he’s hanging on to, and Ashley has vowed to stay away from him due to his playboy image, but she’s drawn to his obvious guilt complex. We also meet David and Mirabella in this one. Exciting start to this new series. The suspense is there and the main premise for the story, but it’s not edge of your seat. It’s more trying to figure out who’s behind Colt’s disappearance and the threat to the twins. Set primarily in Texas, the characters are easy to relate to, and likeable.

This was a great story featuring a sweet romance and edge of your seat suspense. I was pulled in right from the start, intrigued by the mysterious phone call and then the disappearance of Brett's stepbrother Colt.
With danger swirling and Colt missing, Brett makes it his mission to keep his niece, nephew, and their nanny safe. Brett and Ashley couldn't be more different, but there's an undeniable attraction between them. Something keeps pulling them together. Could they be each others perfect match despite it all?
This book was a breath of fresh air. A soul-lifting read. The perfect combination of romance and suspense with an inspirational message. There were some shocking revelations, twists and turns, and so many suspects – each with a strong motive. When it came time for the reveal, I was shocked. I never would've guessed it. I love when I can be surprised like that.
Autumn Macarthur and Alexa Verde are an author collaboration I'm so excited to see more from. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Brett could feel it! Something was wrong within his close knit family. He rushed to his brother's secure home only to find it on fire. No, no, no!!! Even worse, none of the family and/or staff was even outside. He had to help them get out before the Fire Department got there. He ran inside and began to go from one room to another, but neither of the twins were in their room. He heard coughing coming from the Nanny's room. After having to break it down, he helped them jump to safety just in time. But where was everyone else on staff? Something was off with the whole situation. That along with his brother Colt's phone call earlier frightened him badly. He didn't scare easily! He needed to get them all to safety.
Thus begins this fast paced story by a couple of my favorite authors. This story is layered with many issues of trust and misplaced guilt besides fear of rejection. There is great suspense besides unexpected romance at an unusual time. When it ends, you want it to continue!!!!

The first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur is a doozy good read. Brett is called upon the take care of brother Colt's children and he is going to check on one of his labs that's on fire. He finds his brothers mansion on fire. He has to rescue this niece and nephew and nanny Ashley. He has so much from the past to deal with in just rescuing them.
The story takes you through the rescue then so much more. Who could want to harm Brett or Colt. They both have so much to deal with past hurts starting in childhood. Then there's the pretty nanny Ashley. She has her own past hurts to deal with. Thrown together throught out this time can God heal them? Can they find love throught it all. I had a hard time putting the book down once I started. Wonderful, suspensful read showing how God can work even when we don't see how. Read, enjoy. I like to read clean romances and this story also had some mystery and danger involved. Ashley was a nanny for a rich man. She loved his children. One day the father of these children disappeared.
The brother of this man was also very rich. Brett was attracted to Ashley, but needed to keep focused to try and find out what happened to his brother. Ashley also was attracted to Brett even though he was a black man and she was a white woman. This made no difference to them.
The children (twins - a boy and a girl) in this story were very grown up maybe because their mother left them - they also handled the disappearance of their father very well. All of a sudden the mother showed up and helped to find her divorced husband.
I highly recommend this book and want to read the next book in this series.

What do you get when two excellent authors collaborate on a story? An absolutely fantastic read: Brett, Billionaire Bodyguard, a well-written romance with suspense. I loved the main characters, Ashley and Brett, and Brett's niece and nephew. The children add so much to the story. I enjoyed reading about Brett's change of heart concerning commitment and his faith in God. I loved that though Ashley was terrified at times that she chose to do the right thing, the brave thing. The plot had lots of twist and turns, and no way did I have the bad guy figured out; but there were clues. There is a incredibly sweet and fun proposal for the HEA that we all want and love. I highly recommend this romance to readers of clean/wholesome romance and to Christian romance readers. I got my copy through KU.

The Billionaire Protectors series is off to a great start with this hunky bodyguard. I may be old, but I still know what a hunk is, and Brett is one handsome dude! I was captured from the first page. The main characters, Brett and Ashley, are opposites but are still alike in many ways. They get caught up in a life-threatening mess, but the suspense keeps the reader interested to the end. This is a great mix of suspense and romance in the best sense. It has a strong Christian message and gives hope to those ridden by guilt. A must read, for sure. I look forward to reading the next two in the series.

Brett Billionaire Bodyguard is a well-crafted first book of the Billionaire Protectors Series and foreshadows Books 2 (Colt) and 3 (David). Tension between Brett and Ashley, who are from two different worlds but share responsibility to keeping the twins safe, moves the plot. Part romance, part mystery, who is responsible for the twin’s dad disappearance. Contemporary issues of race, foster care, abuse, life styles of the rich versus poverty, and revenge makes this stand-alone story a page turner. Believable resolution. Looking forward to Colt and David’s stories.

Just like the title says: sweet, clean romance with suspense
Loved how the authors showed how to live your faith. Well-written, interesting plot that surprised me. I usually have it figured out well in advance, but not this time, despite the clues being there. I would say that is because I look for the good in people, but I suspect it had more to do with the marvelous writing! Absorbing, complex characters and some good humor thrown in all the seriousness of the situations. May God continue to bless these remarkable women. Highly recommend.

Can across this series by chance, and I am glad I did. Brett reminded me a little of myself. Trying to fix everything, or blaming myself for everything. I am a Christian but it seems as I am always trying to help God. 😊😊😊 can you imagine. God don't need my help, Ashley helped me to realize that. Wonderful story, loved the mystery and suspense. The HEA was the icing on the cake for Brett and Ashley. I have already pre-ordered the second book in this series.

I absolutely loved this book!! It had enough suspense to keep you wanting more, and it had faith all the way through it!! Just enough mystery to keep me on my toes!! I didn't figure it out til they did, which is what I love!!! I'm looking forward to the next one!!! Can't wait to see how Brett and Ashley continue together, too!!

Wow, this story definitely had a lot of suspense mixed with romance. It kept me guessing the whole time. Ashley is so sweet and good and Brett has had a hard life and has held onto a lot of it. Can he learn to hand it over to God and find happiness while at the same time find his brother? This was a great story and I'm excited to read the rest of the series when they come out.

I'm not a huge fan of billionaire books because I just can't wrap my head around having that much money. But they're growing on me. And this one definitely helped. The suspense level is just right, leaving you wondering who is behind it all until the end. The romance is almost more attraction than them really getting to know each other, but ends up okay.

Brett’s story
Wow! This story really kept me on my toes! It is the most unlikely person most of the time, and we forget that. My favorite part was seeing a person’s love for Jesus Christ shining through and even teaching another person about His love. Very good! I can’t wait for Colt’s story!

This was a great story by a great author.
Even the bad characters were good characters. Brett, certainly was a great lead character as was Ashley. The author brought great is a to this book for the little plots. I didn't want to put this story down! And it ended before I wanted it to end. You will really enjoy this story.

Was okay
Liked the plot idea but their wasn’t enough conflict and the suspense was weak. The author could have shown the emotion instead of repeatedly telling their emotions. She could have shown more interaction between the main characters apart from just the physical attraction. Loved the twins. Good story that could have been better written.

What a great start to a new series! This book is full of action and suspense! It grabs you on the first page and keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you are looking for a well written christian book that is full of suspense, grab this one. I've already pre-ordered David and Colt.

This story grabs you from Page One and never lets go!
The characters are well rounded, not at all perfect, but with realistic strengths and flaws.
The story's pacing is good and the mystery element was well done––the resolution doesn't pop out of nowhere.

I absolutely loved the debut novel in this new series by two incredible authors. Brett had me hooked from the beginning and held my attention until the very end. I can't wait to see what happens next in Colt's story!

I’ll admit the cover got my attention. This story is filled with romance, mysteries, danger, interesting characters and a great plot. I had to keep reading until the mystery was solved. I totally enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.
