Healed is the story of Kayla and Bryce.
Bryce is our 36 year old doctor hero and Kayla is our 20 year old runaway heroine. She’s running away from the cops when she gets hurt and decides to go to a hospital for help by using a fake name and she successfully does get through but then a really hot doctor notices her and immediately calls for her to be put in a room and she confesses that she isn’t really who she is and that she’s running away from the police. He demands that she stay with him and she does and he restrains from claiming her until she shoots her shot and they have a night of passion that leads her to get the wrong idea of it just being a one night stand and that she doesn’t want him get involved with her because she’s not a good person or some shit. He reveals that he’s in love with her and she stays after that and they have a HEA. She’s not on the run anymore due to Bryce’s connections with a lawyer so yh.
Solid 4/5

I’d done what I hadn’t managed to do in my thirty-six years of life before Kayla. I’d damn well fallen in love…
I believe this is my first read by this author and if the rest of her work is like this one...she just got herself another fan. Can't wait to see what else she has out there.

The h lost her parents a year ago, already went through all their life insurance, lost the family house and got into drugs, stealing cars and is now running from the cops.

I don't know how I feel about it. I guess I didn't like it very much. I felt a lack of connection between the characters. Like why did he risk his reputation and job to be with her? Here was no spark.

Healed is a steamy little story about an older Alpha Doctor who helps and then protects a younger injured woman. It is a great book to pick up to take a break with and have a cup of coffee or tea or even a glass of wine with.
Kayla has been struggling since her parents died. She has been escaping her feelings by turning to the wrong man who got her into drugs, nothing hard in the book. Since she has now run out of money, he got her into breaking into cars. After she is almost caught by a police officer she realizes that she cannot continue like this and decides she needs to leave town and go somewhere else to start over. Before she can do that she ends up falling really badly and injuring herself.
Once on the road driving the pain from her injury becomes too much and she finds a hospital in a town. Dr. Bryce Daniels is the ER doctor that tends to her. He has a very visceral reaction to her and his big bad protective Alpha comes out with her immediately. Turns out she has a fractured collarbone and as a result cannot look after herself or drive because of the pain killers she needs. Bryce takes her home with him and wants to look after her in all ways............taking her shopping, out to eat, cooking for her, making love to her and getting a lawyer to deal with any legal issues back home. He also wants to settle down and build a life with her as he is in love.
This is an insta-love Older Man / Younger Woman romance story that is fun and romantic. You can feel the deep pit that Kayla is in emotionally and the life-line that Bryce is throwing her if she can just trust him. Luckily for her she recognizes that he is not like most men she has met and so grabs that life line and holds on tight.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Bryce and Kayla. Kayla is a young woman who recently lost her parents and has been in trouble ever since. Kayla was running from the police and knew she needed to get to a hospital after falling and hurting her shoulder. Bryce is a doctor and when he sees Kayla, he knows he has to protect her and make her his. Bryce knows Kayla is in some kind of trouble, but he also knows he will help her. When Kayla tells Bryce her real name, she thinks he is going to turn her in, but instead he offers to take her for something to eat. Bryce has an instant love for Kayla and he wants her to feel safe. So Bryce takes her to his home and tells her he wants her to stay and he even helps her get out of trouble. I liked this instant love story. I liked Bryce and thought he was very caring and loving toward Kayla. They had a great connection and i think they found their happiness. Good one.

Sweet slow burn read
Yes, this is a quick read, but it doesn't go from zero to dirty right away. Kayla is hurt so she drives herself to the ER. She finds herself in the care of Bryce and he wants to take her home. The story is sweet and the romance does happen, just not in the first few pages.

Hurt and on the run
Running,hiding and getting hurt and so scared. Leaves town hurt mercies till she can't stand the pain,in er waiting and faint when going to see the dr. He fell hard and quick and finds out her story. He helps,takes care of her and they have a chance.

I loved that Kayla let him take care of her. Once the doc saw her he was never letting her go. I'm glad he contacted his lawyer friend and got Kayla off the hook with the cops.
