The Billionaire's daughter and the man she left with! Will he get her back?

All billionaire Cyrus Black wants is a chance to spend a month in Paris and repair the fractured relationship with his wife and daughter. But things don’t go as planned. Frantic, he realizes his daughter has left without telling anyone where she’s going. When he finds her phone dumped in a garbage can, he grows even more frantic. Though the police assume it is a kidnapping, and tell him to wait for a ransom note, he calls in associates who might help him find her.

Teenager Marcella Black is looking forward to spending time with her parents, especially her father whom she’s hardly seen since her parents separated. But when her father is late—as usual—and her mother is having a melt-down, and she can’t face the fight that’s sure to come, she turns to the only person who understands her—@JamesKind. She met him briefly in Paris last year and has since fallen in love with him. When he asks her to come meet him, she happily goes. Because he loves her, too, right?

When the expected ransom note doesn’t arrive, Cyrus fears his daughter might be #lost—maybe forever.

A note from the author:

Thanks for visiting my Goodreads page.

I wanted to tell something meaningful about myself, but let's start with the important stuff--I love swoon-worthy heroes. The kind of heroes that are strong and would take a bullet for you, but also want to open your door and listen to you pour out your heart.

What else? I grew up moving. If you’ve read my books, you won’t be surprised by this. I have a lot of moving themes through my books centered around characters experiencing pain from someone moving.

It was hard. But, I believe there’s always a seed of good that comes out of everything hard, so I think the best thing that came from it was that I learned to love books.

And I had to learn a lot of mad skills on friend making. It gave me a love of people…good people, compassionate people. Interesting people of all kinds.

What else about me? I am a mother and wife! I have four amazing boys that are like little ninjas running around. I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my amazing husband who doesn’t get intimidated by all the billionaire men in my life.

I have a fierce love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for Him and for the healing and forgiveness I’ve gotten to experience in my life. This is a theme in many of my books.

I love being an American. I am so proud of the men and women that support and preserve our freedom. This is another theme you will find in my books.

I am so grateful for my fans and for the support and love you all show me! Don’t stop reading!

Hugs-

Taylor

This book was centered around a very unique topic! It was an engaging and informative read! The characterization was wonderful, making it very easy to connect with and care about the characters and their situations! I instantly wanted to read more of the story! My biggest complaint was that it ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, and I really wanted to know more about what ended up happening! All things considered, a great teaching tool for teens!

Heartbreaking

The free prequel of a series intended to increase awareness of human trafficking, this novella is heartbreaking in its realism. Inspired by the true story in the movie The Sound of Freedom, this cautionary tale is written from the points of view of a teen who is skillfully stalked on Instagram and her father who realizes too late that his successful but demanding business should have taken second place to his family. Although the dad is not as cool and connected as Liam Neeson's character in the movie Taken, he hires some guys who are to find his missing daughter and help others vulnerable to human trafficking.

This story and the rest in the series are written for teenagers to keep them from becoming victims of the growing problem of underage sex trafficking in the United States and abroad. It's also an informative and compelling read for adults who may be unaware of how pervasive this problem is and how easy it is for young people to be victimized by sexual predators skilled at building trust with vulnerable kids looking for love in all the wrong places. Without going into gory details of the perversion, trauma and abuse of sexploitation, the story sheds light on the MO of perpetrators and how they lure their victims into bondage.

At the end, the authors provide a comprehensive list of ways that readers can help stop human trafficking.

This book was not an easy one for me to read. I can see how the book goes along with the way the world is going today. I'm always keeping track of my kids when we are out doing stuff because I know kids are taking every day. Kids/teens being on social media can be scary as well. Especially, when the parent's are not aware their children are talking to people online and not realizing the dangers. I'm grateful my kids are not on social media.

I have this short prequel to the book series 5 stars because it grabs your attention and it's very well written. You connect and feel what the characters are feeling and going through.

I want to see if Marcella is found and brought back home. With all the work her dad is doing to help other kids and also to find her.

What a heartbreaking tale that is so true for this day and age.
This is a brilliant idea that these authors have taken on and I think that these should be made mandatory reading in schools these days.
The authors have done a lot of research and you can tell this from the way the book has been written.
The characters are fleshed out well and your heart just breaks reading this.
Well written and be warned there are triggers for talks of sex trafficking, allusions to rape (in the past) or online predators.
I am just blown away completely with this and heartbreaking as it is I want to keep reading these to support these authors in this endeavor.
Recommend reading.

I have to give this a five star and I'll tell you why. Yes, this is a fast prequel story, however, every single word is needed. No fillers and you are in the story. I will tell you it's not an easy read for the faint of heart, but it is our reality today, sadly. It is a terrifying story and it was hard for me to read as someone who had not dealt with this particularly, but sexual abuse by an ex uncle. It was so well written that I would absolutely have my girls read it because of how well it is written and a good warning for internet predators, etc.

Wow what a book

This one does not pull any punches and to be honest brings a subject to the forefront I hardly ever think about which is sex trafficking. I can’t imagine how hard to write such a book that as a parent you never really want to acknowledge. Props to Taylor for letting God use words to inspire others to make a difference in others lives.

This well written book deals with a little known problem in our current society--slave trafficking. Every teen should read this series and realize the very real dangers being magnified by social media.

This is a prequel that touches base on human trafficking. The story flows and gives you some of the background. This read really brings this to light and is a must read. If there is one book that I definitely recommend its this one.

heart rending

I love the premise of this series. I am a fan of the Taken movies and am encouraged that there is an organization dedicated to preventing and rehabilitating survivors of sex trafficking!

I can't recommend it to everyone. It talks about hard issues. It is a great book to raise awareness though. I am glad I knew it wasn't going to be all resolved by the end of the book before I started reading.

A sensitive and pertinent topic. I hadn't realized how widespread human trafficking is. The subject was handled very well. It's a delicate balance to write about something so dark, and still right a book with hope and happiness.
