They invaded her planet. They ambushed her unit. They’ll have to pry Earth from her cold, dead hands…

When Lieutenant Cam Alvarez is called to investigate a desert massacre in the US Green Zone, she prepares for the worst. Once her team of soldiers arrives on the scene, she realizes the violence wasn’t committed by human hands. Alien invaders already dominate Earth’s expanding polar regions, but Cam had never seen Ringheads survive exposure to heat… until they storm her troops and abduct her.

On board the alien mothership, Cam knows she alone can warn the human resistance about the catastrophic new threat. Against impossible odds, Cam must escape her captors and make an unthinkable sacrifice to give humanity one last shot at survival.

Audiobook Review

Alien Storm is intensely dramatic, constantly moving, and ever-evolving. The adventure never ends even when the characters are practically dead. Part sci-fi, part alien horror, this it the kind of story I would not go to the theatre to see (too much gore), but comes across just fine in audiobook form. Great heroic characters give the listener plenty to sympathize with and aliens, whose purpose seems to be to wipe out humanity, give us a reason to cheer for the good guys. Be warned, this is not a happily ever after story. The series continues with Alien Exile, which just released. Here’s hoping things start looking up for humanity.

High marks to both narrators. Luke Daniels is favorite narrator for me and many other listeners. The equally talented Khristine Hvam was new to me, but she has quite a repertoire, so is probably familiar to many listeners.

Cold War: Alien Storm, by Julia Vee and Ken Bebelle, keeps your attention and holds on to it with non-stop action. If you like futuristic military stories, then you are going to love this one! It has everything you could ask for: cool technology, aliens that can do crazy things, and ice armor – in the desert – on American soil. There is just something about seeing Aliens attack American civilians that pisses me off and gets me more enthralled in the story. Yes, Independence Day is one of my favorite movies.

Cam’s story is gripping. She is a badass all-American warrior who gets captured by enemy aliens. Things definitely do not go the way the aliens planned. I can’t wait until the next book comes out on audio. I will read the next book in the series just to find out what happens to Cam.

I would prefer to see more of the non-military storyline. There is just enough to satisfy most people – especially hardcore fans of this sub-genre. Personally, I want to know more about the people, their backstories, and the political environment. There are many amazing futuristic things in the book, but I felt like I walked away without a good understanding of what the future America was really like. How is life different for the regular Joe in the future?

The narrators, Khristine Hvam and Luke Daniels, did a fabulous job. They complimented each other perfectly. Knocked it out of the park! I swear to you that when I started writing this article I was completely shocked to find that there were two narrators. I must have really gotten into the story. That is all I can say!

I discovered this book from a Bookbub email and decided to give it a try. It was well written and I enjoyed the characters. I think I need to read the previous book to get a bit of the back story. I’m a little leery about where the story is headed as a couple of the characters have changed. Overall it was a fun read.

Wasn't sure at first but it sucked me in and kept me there. Story, characters and battles all around a known earth base instead of some far off place. This brings the whole idea of an alien invasion and fight back home to roost.

Super Military Science Fiction, Very fast paced well written shoot'em up with lots of guns and explosions. Some interesting ideas on the alien enemy. Good strong lead female characters unusual for this type of novel. Highly Recommended

A. Different book to read.

If you ever believed that invasion from space was possible this book shows you way that might happen. You are taken on a crazy journey showing you what people can and will due to win. The book was well done and a good job to keep wanting to read more.

This was an awesome story! You have strong characters and a strong storyline. The narrator did an awesome job with the many characters in the story. It is kind of scary to think of aliens coming to the planet and wreaking havoc all over the place. Taking the characters and experimenting on them gives a body chills. I would really like to know how this story ends and eagerly await the audiobook for it.

Interesting Story

The story wasn't to bad. To bad the book never saw an editor or an editing program. The book is in need of a rewrite. Cam was an interesting character if not at first a little boring, Sasha was quite fun. I may get around to reading book 2.

Alien Invasion At Earth’s Poles and World Response Is Emotional Mercenary Contractors

An advanced alien race establishes ever-increasing invasion beachheads at the Earth’s polar regions, and the world’s response is limp outsourcing to emotional mercenary contractors.

Only thing that makes this inane storyline readable is a few interesting characters.

It’s not horrible, just not good.
