Steamy short story
It has a plausible setting, and typical US over reliance on college degree versus experience. I liked Shay with her determination.
Max needs more development around his character, and whether he is a nice person or just doesn’t think.
The sex scene and virginity, to me it was not so good. First, he’s a man who by own merits sleeps around. Nothing about safe sex, he may have STI’s. He surely should discuss or use protection to avoid unwanted offspring. Shay a virgin, nothing at all in the action to suggest that.
To redo this with thought to this would be sensible.
This is borderline 2.5 stars from me.

Lots of First
I liked reading this story. It had a decent amount of drama, but, it was used to explain certain things pertinent to the developing storyline. This story hit on many different topics yet it flowed smoothly. Seeing a person function in a crisis say a lot about a person, accepting them as they are, says even more. Loved the ending.

It would have been nice to see Shay's former boss eat some crow, but other than that, I really enjoyed this book. I loved that Max was dominant, but not so much that he felt controlling like in some novels.

Wow
Crazy good reading with marvelous characters that steam up the pages with their outstanding chemistry. Almost ended by a few mistaken choice words ends up to be a spectacular relationship.

Love it when the good girl wins
Great story - Shay and Max are great together and the storyline is good. Love that Shay gets to shine and talk down to the nasty guy from the beginning of the story. Going to enjoy book three now.

A lot of fun to read
Max: Her Dominant Boss #2 is the first book I have read in this series but not the first book I have read by this author. I seem to be a sucker for the OTT dominant, possessive and protective Alpha male romance stories and this is one of those. Add in the older man/younger woman and the boss/employee themes into the mix and we are off to the races.
The story of Max and Shay is fun and engaging. She is having a bad day to say the least and he is drawn to her and attempts to be her knight in shining armor. They have instant chemistry that lets them have a lot of fun in different places. But can it lead to something more or will it stay as just fun and games?

This is the second book in the Her Dominant Boss series. I did not read book one but I believe this is a standalone series. Max and Shay first meet in an elevator where things heat up and get physical. This leaves a lasting impression on them both. Shay is mad as she was passed up for a job opportunity and so she quits and takes a temporary assistant job (three weeks) to a high powered businessman. Imagine the surprise and excitement when Max and Shay cross paths again. Is this fate at work or just like everything else, temporary? This was a short but entertaining story to read. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book from start to finish. The characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline is well written making it flow smoothly.

This book is totally worth the time to read. Every page will have you enthralled and panting for more. Let’s not forget mention the chemistry of these two. You can really feel the passion.
