The unexpected sweetness of a hot tiger shifter
This is the fourth installment in Dianna Love’s exciting League of Gallize Shifter series. Theoretically the books could be read as standalones, as each one focuses on another pair of shifters, but they are all connected by an ongoing story arc, in which parts of the mythology surrounding this special breed of shifters is gradually revealed.
Gan and Scarlett’s story is a bit different though, because they featured as important supporting characters in the previous book, Stalking His Mate, and they also met there for the first time. Also, we get a lot of Gan’s background, as he is the adopted brother of Siofra, the heroine. They both lived in prison camps run by unscrupulous shifters, where they watched each other’s back. At that time Gan did not yet know that he is a shifter, as his animal had not yet emerged. And when it does, it’s a huge Siberian tiger that is constantly at odds with Gan. In order to learn control, he is placed in a sanctuary together with another shifter that has control issues. But Gan is deeply unhappy, as he sees this as just another prison and he wants nothing more than to finally be free and live life on his own terms.
Scarlett has demons of her own and she has made it her mission to rescue and help female shifters that have been abused. But her latest mission turns out to be more than she can handle on her own, so she cashes in the favor the Gallize shifters owe her. But things don’t go according to plan and she needs to rely on Gan for backup. Although Gan has his own plans, his tiger feels drawn to Scarlett’s cat and is much calmer in her presence. They both feel that because of their respective circumstances they cannot afford to have a committed relationship, but they can’t help developing feelings for each other. But before they can find their happy ever after, Scarlett’s past catches up with them…
I loved how different this story felt for a variety of reasons. First there is the hero, Gan: because of the way he grew up and his past experiences, or rather the lack thereof, he has kept a childlike innocence (although he is all man in other regards). But he says what he thinks and is unable to dissemble. Also, he is not driven by an unrelenting need to find his mate, as he doesn’t know about the Gallize curse. And I also liked that Scarlett is a shifter herself, whose cat can stand up to Gan’s tiger. Their relationship had an unexpected sweetness to it.
I am already looking forward to the next book in the series!

Gan is a Siberian tiger shifter. He has problems controlling his animal. It's hard being one of the Gallize Shifters. I liked Gan. He longs for freedom. All his life he lived in captivity. When he sees Scarlett, his tiger responds to her cougar. Their connection was very special. Are the destined to be mates?Scarlett is a fierce fighter. She won't let female shifters be the prey of ruthless predators. I wanted her to be successful. I like a powerful heroine. I wondered why she wouldn't let others into her life. What is her secret? The relationship between Gan and Scarlett was so special. I liked seeing them together. Their interaction was romantic and their love was powerful. Their dialogue made me smile. I was impressed at how they protected each other. I wanted them together. I can't wait for Adrian's story.

I LOVED THIS STORY! Gan about broke my heart as the tortured hero with a heart of gold. Scarlett is smart and tough as nails and doesn’t need anybody, doesn’t want anybody as she has secrets that will get them killed. But it is mighty hard to kill a Gallize shifter especially one who has found something to fight for. This story will leave you with happy tears.

Very good
I'm really enjoying this series. This was set up nicely and I wasn't sure how a match for Scarlett could have been more perfect. (Kudos for that brilliant family tree. I did not see that coming.)
Gan is struggling with his tiger (as he should be) as he's a new shifter. Scarlett calms him and his tiger - which is great. A few things seemed a little unlikely given the premise of The Gallize and Gan's lack of training. Also, I'm having a difficult time with the ending. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with it, but seeing some follow through on The Guardian's suggestion would have topped it for me. I also wanted to see Gan at peace with his new reality. Lastly, I really wanted to see Spud again.
All in all, a good story and series I would recommend.

I am thrilled to be into this series with each one revealing more of the world. Scarlett and Gan give us their story without skimping on the danger. There seem to be the danger as usual even though they were the protectors. Oh the beauty that Gan is now though but Scarlett does need his help. These are two halfs that are stubborn but now they must get it together to save one. Good thing too that Scarlett sees the heart he hides or he would be in trouble also. Could he finally be free if he quits being stubborn. This one will play on your emotions like a fine harp. How it evolves and lands at the end is the sweet reward of the reader.

Another amazing book.
Another book in the series that is good. Gan learned a lot with the help of Scarlett and the Guardian in the end when he explained himself. He now trusts his Gallize family, not pack. Family is always there to help you up and through difficult times. It also seems like Adrian is healing his connection with his wolf, but slowly. Onto the next book

Book four in the League of Gallize Shifters, Scent of a Mate is the story of the troubled Gan and Scarlett. An engaging read with conflict, danger, and connection. I loved Gan and Scarlett and the dynamic support characters and look forward to reading Adrian’s story and recommending this to readers.

Gan was amazing in the previous story so I am glad he was able to meet and woo Scarlet in this one. His honesty about not wanting to be in company had him eating his words when her animal claimed him as mate and his animal did the same.

Gan's story was so sad 😔 Scarlett is a perfect mate for Gan🤗 Wish we got to witness their bonding ceremony. Can't wait for Adrian and Jaz story!

Scent of a Mate by Dianna Love is the 4th book in her wonderful League of Gallize Shifters series. I am a big fan of Dianna Love, and I look forward to reading any of her books, as she always gives us great exciting, fun stories, with fantastic characters. Background: The Gallize shifters are run by an ancient and powerful shifter, and they are the good guys, who secretly protect humans from the bad shifter groups.
Gan, our hero, is a Siberian tiger shifter, and has spent most of his life as a prisoner. Gan has become a new member of the Gallize shifters, but he still feels like a prisoner and wants to run away to gain his freedom. Since he is a newbie, Gan is assigned to work with other Gallize shifters, to learn how to bond and deal with his tiger.
Scarlett, our heroine, is a cougar shifter, who spends her time freeing other female shifters, as well as trying to find her sister. She knows she is coming up against a powerful shifter, and requests help from the Gallize leader, who sends two of his men, which will include Gan, who follows as part of his training.
Gan, is immediately attracted to Scarlett, and despite his language barrier, she works with him how to behave, and learn to bond with his tiger. Scarlett finds herself becoming attracted to handsome hunk, Gan, but will not allow herself to be bonded to any man. She realizes that Gan’s strength is powerful and she can use him to help free her kidnapped friends. In a short time, their romance will escalate to a scorching level, with both unable to hide their strong feelings; so much so that they will each put their own lives in danger to protect one another.
We learn more about the female shifters that Scarlett is trying to free, and I expect more future stories for them. There are two powerful villains in this story, both after Scarlett, and Gan will do anything to protect her.
What follows is an exciting action-packed story, but I do not want to ruin it for you by giving any spoilers. The last half of the book was great, especially as we raced to the climatic ending. I was on the edge of my seat during the last half of the book. My favorite character in this book was Scarlett, as she was a fabulous heroine. I liked Gan, but I did find him somewhat annoying early on; but in the end they made a great couple.
Dianna Love once again gives us another wonderful story, and a series that continues to wow us and was a fun, exciting, action packed adventure; with a great sexy couple, which you should be reading. As I always come to expect with Dianna Love, Scent of a Mate was a fun, exciting adventure; great sexy couple, wonderful secondary characters, and bad villains. I cannot wait for the next book. I strongly suggest you start with Gray Wolf Mate, if you have not read this series and enjoy the ride.

During every situation that arises in the fourth League Of Gallize Shifters book, adventures are creatively imagined by Dianna Love and several left me breathless. The author knows how to make events come across as credible regardless of any paranormal aspects, and I never question the realism of any occurrence because circumstances always seem so convincing. In this story, dreadful happenings in today’s human society occur in the shifter world, where fears and heartbreak are genuine. When one dedicated female shifter joins forces with a group of powerful males, the odds just got better that good will triumph over evil.
When Scarlett wants to aid several female shifters in escaping from those who deal in trafficking their kind, she knows backing is needed for her plan to be successful. She has assisted a group comprised of Gallize shifters in the past, and hopefully they can be counted on for support. Gan was recently helped by Scarlett, and he also just discovered that a Siberian tiger has been hiding inside him. Now the beast wants to take over his human side much too often, and he must prove who is in control or the Gallize guardian will demand a huge price. Gan is picked to work with Scarlett, and he can perhaps find the freedom that he craves somewhere during the mission.
The main couple in SCENT OF A MATE are so likable for many reasons, and I wanted their lives to improve from the unhappy way both have lived for far too long. Gan has never been truly free to make his own decisions, and learning about his past traumatic years made me admire how he has persevered. I smiled often at his attempts to understand comments being said because some words and expressions are unknown to him, and though displaying an alpha nature at times, there is also an innocence about him that demonstrated his good side. Scarlett is someone who never backs down, and she will reach a goal by any means possible. Her loyalty is definitely admirable. How these two work through any differences is entertaining to watch, as their reactions are candidly honest.
What occurs time and again is often gripping with threatening peril and lots of uncertainties. Any characters involved in these episodes are well written with diverse personalities and earnest responses. The conclusion was another shocker to me, as more than one surprise had already been revealed as the story progressed. SCENT OF A MATE interweaves danger, heartfelt emotions, and original ideas to create an outstanding book.

Scent of a Mate is the 4th book in the Gallize series written by Dianna Love. The Gallize series can be read alone or as the series because they do all link together in some sort of way. Gan and Scarlett met in book 3 when Gan's tiger was called out of him. The book is very well written and flows together very nicely. It's excitement at every turn and you don't want to put the book down. There's adventure that just sucks you in and doesn't want to let you go.
Gan has to deal with his tiger, the one thing he despises. His tiger also despises his human as well, they don't get along and don't even try. Gan has been trying to deal with his tiger, and deal with the world that he doesn't completely understand. He has an idea if he can prove that he can control his tiger.
Scarlett is our heroine, she is spunky and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. She is an Alpha female and doesn't let any man control her. When she needs the Gallize assistance she calls in favors. When Gan shows up it throws her world into disaster. This was one tiger has been haunting her dreams and now being close is throwing her emotions into chaos.
Scarlett has a secret she's been trying to keep, so she doesn't share everything with Gan. Gan wants to flee, but he doesn't want Scarlett to get in trouble for anything he does. The two fight with eachother and work well together. It has a nice twist at the end and it's definitely something interesting.
Everything from the beginning of the book to all the things that were in it. All loose ends get wrapped up and dealt with at the end. You end up wandering but it's nicely wrapped up. I love the book, it's very well. There are some parts that felt dragged out and some that happened quickly. It is a very good book and I do recommend it.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SCENT OF A MATE" OMG!!!! What a fabulous story written by Dianna Love I've read so many of her books and live how she writes her stories there always so unique, interesting, you can't put them down until finished reading her books are so addicting.
I absolutely loved the chemistry between Gan and Scarlett she was so frustrated at times he didn't understand things but then he was never taught how to deal with the Siberian Tiger the Guardian pulled put of him he's now a Gallized Shifter.
Gan was stolen from birth and had been a prisoner to shifters all his life treated poorly and abused he hated shifters and he hated his Tiger andvuce versa.
Scarlett is a Cougar shifter who she calls "CHICA" and she has special abilities there conversations back and forth are just to funny she saves female shifters bad shifters that kidnap and sell them.
Scarlett calls the Guardian for Gallized Shifters to help save 10 woman one being a criminal wanted by the law but she's not really a criminal Jaslyn saved her once and she wants to repay her by letting her escape.
Adrian, Gan and Vic are the Gallized Shifters sent to help Scarlett she doesn't like Gan at first she thinks he's arrogant and can't control his Siberian Tiger but finds otherwise they are mates.

I really enjoy Dianna Love's Galize Shifter mythos and this book was the perfect example of why. The stories are very complex with all sorts of sub-plots, secrets and entanglements. There's plenty of action and mayhem that gives the various shifters the opportunity to strut their stuff and plenty of passion and steamy romance.
Scarlett is the ultimate paranormal female heroine - smart, independent, loyal, witty and a whole lot more than meets the eye. Gan is her perfect foil - a man who is funny, sometimes without meaning to be, strong, protective, smokin' hot and a "wild man" who is rarely in complete control of his animal side. Together, they make a formidable duo, whether fighting of wolves and jackals and big cats or standing up to ancient wizards with a god complex.
Romance novels can be trite and formulaic - boy meets girl, girl hates boy, boy wins girl, they fight and split up but neither can live without the other, they get back together and live happily ever after. This one's a little different, and that's a good thing.
If you're a fan of kick-ass paranormal stories with a hot romantic streak, I heartily recommend Scent of a Mate, and the whole Gallize Shifter series.

If you think you have seen all there is to see as far as shifters go, think again. Each book in this series has felt fresh and new, and raised the bar for shifter stories, at least for me. Scent of a Mate's thrilling, action-packed storyline, and irresistible cast of characters was a strong addition to an exceptional series.
The mystery and secrets swirling around Gan and Scarlett, and knowing that Dianna Love never disappoints, really had me looking forward to this book. The previous books didn't tell us too much about the two, so I couldn't wait to dig in. Every second rocked! The secrets were oh-so-juicy, the romance was oh-so-hot, and the action was oh-so-riveting.
One of the things I love most about Love's Gallize shifters is how the shifter and human sides are separate. Gan's relationship with his animal was especially interesting, but I don't want to give too much away. Just know that it was very complex and fascinating, to say the least. And let's not forget about the secrets Scarlett has been keeping. These two definitely have the potential to really shake things up in the Gallize world. I can't wait to see what's coming!

What can I say, only that I was blown away again by this fourth book in the League of Gallize Shifters series. Dianna Love captures the very essence of suspense in her writing and her gift for creating a world full of paranormal characters that come to life on the page is truly amazing. This book features Gan and Scarlett working together in their race to save female shifters that are about to be sold into the sex trafficking trade. Gan is new to the shifter world and needs to find a way to make peace with his tiger before it's too late for them both while also fighting against those who want to help him. Scarlett holds close to her chest so many secrets, because of this she never lets anyone get close to her but even she can't help feeling the pull and attraction she has to Gan and the feeling is mutual.
This book is so action packed that there is never a dull moment. There is a lot of detailed description of the shifters changing and fighting that you would think that you wouldn't be able to understand who is doing what to who, but it's so well written that you won't ever get confused. The plot is super easy to follow and the romance that blossoms between Gan and Scarlett is sexy but tasteful. This is another all round winner and a great story.

You just gotta love these Gallize Shifters. Gan is so innocent and honest and such a straight shooter, you can't help but love this man. Scarlet is a tough, strong woman with many secrets. Together these two create magic.
Gan is such a simple man. He has been held prisoner his whole life and now he just came into his Siberian Tiger and is trying to take control. All he wants is freedom to do what he wants and he feels the Guardian is keeping him a prisoner as well - which is not the case.
Scarlet gets to know him better and realizes that Gan knows nothing about being a shifter and no one has told him anything about his new found powers. So she starts helping him and explaining things to him and Gan finds himself loving her. His tiger finds himself loving her too. Scarlet's cougar loves Gan and his tiger.
Their romance is sweet and funny and passionate.
There are many battles and we see more of who Scarlet is and what powers she has and where she comes from.
Overall a great read with lots of action, twists, and passion.

This book is part of the League of Gallize Shifters series written by Dianna Love. Gan has spent his whole life as a prisoner, now he is a shifter with a Siberian Tiger inside of him. All he wants is to vanish and leave the shifters behind forever. He just has to learn to control his tiger first. As a cougar shifter, Scarlett spends most of her days rescuing female shifters from predators. She has no intention of calling in the marker Gan owes her until she needs a rogue to help her save an innocent from powerful people she's avoided her whole life. Unlike the other Gallize, an angry Gan has no problem breaking a few rules, and she's seen the true man inside who will protect a vulnerable innocent. She had a sound plan, one that would cost only her if things went bad, until that crazy tiger shifter destroyed any hope of walking away from him. When Gan and Scarlett face impossible odds, each of them must put the one thing they hold most dear on the line to protect the other.
This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.

This was another amazing book by Dianna Love.
Gan and Scarlett met when Gan's tiger was called up. Gan and his tiger could not get along very well and they were in Wyoming to learn to become a shifter. Gan didn't want to become a shifter but when Scarlett needed help saving some female shifters she called the Guardian to see if he can send some backup, Gan is one of the 3 that was sent as help. Scarlett helps Gan to not only control his tiger, but to become to actually like his tiger.
Scarlett did not want to fall for Gan because he was so arrogant but her cougar wanted the tiger and so she helps Gan and ends up falling for him. Gan's main goal then is to protect his mate at all costs, even turning himself over to a dangerous tiger shifter and power baron.
In the end, the power baron is taken care of and Gan has the one thing he always wanted, his freedom and now he has his mate.
