Lynne St. James is an Amazon bestselling author. She’s a member of NINC! and the Florida Star Fiction Writers. From the moment she wrote her first story and read it to the neighborhood kids, she was hooked on writing. Lynne’s dream of being published came true in 2012.
Now Lynne writes mostly romantic suspense with military heroes and the strong women they fight to protect. But she also has series that are contemporary, new adult, and paranormal. All of her books, no matter what the genre, include danger, passion, family, humor, and a happily-ever-after.
Originally from up north, Lynne now makes her home in the mostly sunny state of Florida with her husband, Lulu the Yorkie-poo, and an orange tabby named Pumpkin who thinks he rules them all—and mostly does!
When Lynne’s not writing or daydreaming about her next book, she’s drinking coffee and reading or crocheting.
Ryan and Chrissy have been dancing around their attraction since they were introduced when his teammate Rafe started dating Meghan, her best friend. Ryan is a SEAL with the black eagle team and Chrissy works as an analyst for the FBI.
Ryan has sworn off women and Chrissy has secrets of her own that make her socially awkward. She and Ryan snip and snipe at each other constantly but one night they try for a truce. The truce seems to work and they are actually nice to each other which comes in handy when Chrissy uncovers a possible plot on a cruise ship that may have dire consequences. She and Ryan are paired up to pose as a married couple for this mission.
Ryan is worried about her most of the time and can't seem to keep his mind off of her. As they work to uncover the threat the heat between them ignites. Chrissy will rely on her intelligence and martial arts training to save Ryan from the terrorist and himself.
Ryan and Chrissy are perfect for each other and Chrissy is more than she seems. She is intelligent and strong and can definitely protect herself. Ryan never wanted a relationship but Chrissy changed all that. The wasn't a love at first sight type of story. They took over a year to realize they belonged together. I liked this story and it was fast-paced and I really liked Chrissy. The pet names they have for each other made me laugh. Chrissy may be a bit awkward but she has a great sense of humor.
A SEAL’s Hellion: Black Eagle Series Book 3 is by Lynne St. James. This book which stars Ryan McLaughin and Cassie Stillwell is a really good one. It makes it hard to wait for the last book. Cassie Stillwell is an FBI analyst. When she got out of school and was recruited, she could have gone to either the FBI or CIA. She chose the FBI hoping to be posted as an outside agent; but she has an extraordinary talent. She was edictic, once she saw something, she remembered it and could then figure out puzzles very well. This talent she had kept her from being very popular with the boys at school. This unique trait helped her in the analysis practice. Currently she was going over information about Island Sun Cruise line. They had been having an emergency on board and had to make an emergency stop in Puerto Rico. There was just something fishy about it. She got permission to go onboard the cruise liner with Ryan and find out what was going on. Cassie was excited to be on her first case; but not so happy to be with Ryan. She just knew if he knew what her problem was that she was afraid he would find out her secret and then not want to be around her. Her best friend, Megan, was going with one of Ryan’s SEAL brothers. It would make things awkward . However, she and Ryan were finally on the cruise and were looking for whatever was on the ship so they could neutralize the danger. Could they find it in time and could they do it without danger to themselves?
WOW!Another FANTASTIC story by Lynne! This story is about the two who did everything in their power to avoid each other until the last mission. Ryan was attracted to Chrissy and she to him but yet they both were stuck in their own heads about how people perceive them, well Chrissy anyway. Usually it's the Seal saving the damsel in distress but this story has the damsel actually saving the Seal. Had to be humbling for Ryan but was in awe of Chrissy's strength. In the end, the Seal team saved the day and the world. Now these two finally told each other their feelings and started working on their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Lynne! I would recommend this book!
In this fun and fast read, SEAL Ryan McLaughlin and brilliant FBI Analyst Chrissy Stillwell have circled and snarled at each other since they’d met, amusing their friends who insist its attraction. While Ryan’s team is home resting, Chrissy’s been putting a glitch that crossed her desk through its paces.
At a dinner with friends the topic comes up and Chrissy drops a huge clue. Picking up the clue, Ryan and his team are assigned to investigate and surprisingly Chrissy is tagged to be Ryan’s undercover wife. Just as Ryan and Chrissy admit to themselves they care for each other more than they pretend to, Chrissy’s glitch becomes a reality. Rating: 4.25stars
Ryan and Chrissy have known each other through the SEAL team for over a year, but each rebuffed the other although they were drawn to one another. When Chrissy found a possible attack on the U.S. she is Sent on her first out of office assignment by the FBI, however, she was undercover as Ryan's wife on a cruise. Will Chrissy be able to actually handle herself as needed? Will Ryan be able to keep her safe when they find the Tangos or will it workout in reverse?
Christy and Ryan both, for vastly different reasons, hold themselves apart from mist people. His team is his family. Meghan is her beastie and go-to person. They're both sarcastic and seemingly at loggerheads with one another. But, there's no denying their attraction. Neither one seems inclined to act on it though until they're thrown together on a critical op. Then all bets are off. When things go FUBAR, Chrissy's mettle is tested and she proves herself not only to Ryan but to herself.
This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Black Eagle series. I think Chrissy has been one of my favorite characters in this series so far, and I was so happy to read her and Ryan's story. I love how Ryan and Chrissy have this love hate thing going on, and they have had this thing going on before this book. This book had a ton of suspense and action, but it also has some fun and funny times. I really loved reading this book and could not put it down.
I don’t know hot to rate this one. I was thoroughly enjoying Ryan and Chrissy, their banter, the story and then it was done and I don’t really understand why we’ve been left with a HFN when a few more chapters could have given us a HEA. The ending felt disappointingly abrupt and I don’t understand why - it is shorter than the other books, in fact it felt like the first half of a duet, I can only hope we get more of their story in the next book
Plenty of action to go around. Chrissy works for the FBI, but as an anaylst and has a fantastic mind where she retains everything, although some think she's a freak. Ryan is a Navy Seal and his team just got back from a mission. These two have been at odds for a while but could it turn into something else. When they have to work together on a mission things come to a head. HEA.
Lynne St. James continues to write good stories that keep you guessing. An alpha hero and a surprising female partner take on a mission. Both like each other and their friends think they are perfect together but fight to stay away from the other. Then life happens and they discover each has aspects that draw them together.

Thumbs-Up!! Ryan and Chrissy were great to get to know. The dialogue between them had me LOLing. The plot was intriguing and will keep you on your toes. This is also a quick read, great for a day of beach reading.
Wow … I love this book ..I love the names that the characters come up with for each other …pooky . Lynn st James brings us another amazing book . Two people who have done everything they could to avoid each other .. until the last mission ….you will love this book
It helps if you've read the first two books but not vital. Another terrorist try at America gets discovered and thwarted. The fun part is the dialogue between Pooky and Crissy. A pretty good story!
This book is so entertaining!!! The characters are great, the story is full of suspense, action, a romance, and some fun. It's a very enjoyable book. I really love this book.
Chrissie and Ryan who claim to not like each other get thrown on a mission together and a cruise ship. Big bad Seal and a FBI analyst what could go wrong
I've been reading through this series by Lynne St. James. I've enjoyed them all but I liked this one the best so far. Can't wait to see Murph's downfall in the following books.
