Ray thought he was through the worst the game had to offer. I mean, lich kings, vampires and the dark one himself? Boy was he wrong.
Potential new enemies are about to storm the gates. Lands need exploring and evil cultists heads need chopping.
Because when the horn bellows for a hero people like you and Ray answer. Hone that imagination, grab your dice and get ready, this one is going to be a doozy. Click above and start reading today!
I'm Jonathan, a husband, father, and writer. I write because that's what I was born to do and I love doing it. Because of the support from awesome people like you, I get to do it full-time.
Yes I realize it's another lit RPG online game story but you know what, I loved it and I can't say enough about this book I honestly wasn't sure when I 1st started book one but I just finished book 2 and now I just can't wait to read the rest of them the narration everything about this is just perfect I love it, and I love that you guys do such a great job, keep it up, I apologize for the typos I'm on my phone and have to use my voice to write this text. sincerity is always what we look for whet it be consciously sought out of not, I Believe that, and this story, albeit scientific fantasy, fiction or whatever you want to call it. It's actually quite easy to Believe this! So again I just wanted to say thank you for writing and narrating this great story for me I appreciate it very much continue your good work and I will continue to read them
But the writing just feels off. I'm not sure why either. The story is ok but...obvious? Cliche? It's hard to get into? MC makes pretty bad mistakes like forgetting to bring potions to a boss fight with permadeath on the line. Doesn't make sense that the makers of the game can't grant him infinite lives instead of three. Hard to believe he's killing Gods at his level. He's the cryomancer but seems to use other forms of magic about as often as frost magic.
For all the good our hero does, he still has it harder than most. He saves those he loves, but still can't get a break. His brother from the real world comes into the game world to check up on him and they adventure together, like the 'old' days. Fighting a elder-God is much harder than most battles! Yet, they too can die...
This was a very enjoyable story & I'm looking forward where it goes from here.
Good, fun, quick, fast, paced read. Good character development. Uncomplicated story line. The story and the characters kept me d reading. My main beef is the poor editing in spots that left me totally confused in spots forcing me to re read sections until I figured out the error. The mixing of present and past tenses seemed a little amateurish.
Better then I expected ... Conflicts grew from the storyline instead of ' dripping ' into place like an icicle ... Great build of an amazing tale ... Need to keep reading this series.
The stats are unnecessary, the numbers don't really effect combat as much as the convenient skills and items. Everything feels forced so characters are not as important. The story is fun, but it just feels hollow as part of a series.
Author wildly veers from storyline in proximal book; in two paragraphs the main character murders three hundred people-including one of his best friends. This isn’t Lit RPG, it’s straight up insanity.
Exciting, well written verbal rendering of ammorpg. Can't put it down unless you need to sleep. Sometimes even then you still read. Definitely start with book one of this series.
I hate trying to write reviews because there are really only pass/fail results for me. Did I make it all the way through? Yes? 5 stars. No? There would be nothing here to read. In all fairness, if an author holds my attention from page one to the end, they’ve done their job. Anything less than 5 stars is petty criticism from someone incapable of even doing the job let alone doing a better one.
So in respect for the author and their work, I am going to start pasting this along with a generic review I found somewhere. “This was a fun book. I am glad that I read it. You should try it too.”
This is brilliant series, a good follow on from book1. Book is well written, so makes a quick easy read. Can't wait for the next instalment. Jonathan Yanez has made a best seller creating this fantasy game/story that comes alive, we are all addicted
Second book complete. Level up granted for book 3. 3 skill points added to stamina 4 skill points added to speed. ;) Kudos to another successful journey. The one thing I like about these books is the interjection of our pop culture into the story. It’s subtle but funny.
MC does everything stupid. He stumbles through each task only to discover he has made no progress and a new task created, add nausea. Started skimming to be greeted with drivel and then finally the worst thing brought to TV ... the MCs loves loss of memory. I won’t read or attempt to read anymore in this series
What a great read by Mr. Yanez. He continues to provide us an amazing world, great sense of humor, and FUN characters. I love the various pop culture references, movie-mixing, and life-loss tension the main character experiences. Well done!
