Mitzy doesn’t know what to think about the Renaissance fair. However, Sheriff Harper’s excitement about the jousting tournament has Mitzy intrigued. When the event turns deadly Mitzy jumps into the investigation and completely submerges herself in the Renaissance fair life to find the killer.

This is my favorite in the series so far. The story is so much fun. The setting of the Ren Fair made for a terrific reading experience. The characters are entertaining, full of snark and personality. The mystery kept me guessing with its twists and turns.

I listened to the audio version of the book. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing out Mitzy’s personality. She was a pleasant voice that is enjoyable to listen too.

All thoughts and opinions are my own, and in no way have I been influenced by anyone.

This is my favorite book in the series so far. Mitzy and the Sheriff have their hands full this time around when there is a murder in plain sight of an arena full of witnesses. This was a page turner that I just couldn't put down for very long. It was one of those books that you read too fast and then when it is finished you wish you had read it slower. There is lots of action and a lot of surprises that I wouldn't have guesses in a million years.

I like this series more with each book. Mitzy and Erick are on a date at the renaissance faire when one of the knights, during a joust, is murdered. It seems cut and dried, but there is so much more to it. This time, Erick is more receptive of Mitzy's help. I like that these two are getting closer. Good mystery.

It was Fun going to the Renaissance Faire with Mitzy Moon , though she wasn't expecting to sleuth during the festival, a murder occurred with a very historical sword. Mitzy is still learning her skills and at times spews some fun facts much to her friend's surprise. Always fun journey with these characters'!

Murder at the Ren Faire; what a wonderful book!

As always it took me no time at all to feel completely immersed in the story. And I was riveted the whole way through! The kind of story that leaves you in a daze after it ends. The kind of story where you get to fully escape to another world, this time a world of knights and swords. The renaissance faire.

This is a unique series that has its own personality, which sets it apart from other paracozies. It’s so well-written, with such a good flow and that one-more-chapter-ability.

Re-ow! Pyewacket can confirm.

Erick was quite heroic! Can’t tell you more, of course, just read it and enjoy!

Fave quote:
“A crash from somewhere in the bookshop startles me out of my silent analysis of the facts. Erick is out of his chair in a flash and motions for me to keep quiet. “Stay here,” he whispers.
Has he met me?” Lol, so much humor coming from Mitzy, I laughed out loud!

Grab your swords and join Mitzy at the Ren Faire! What could be more fun than donning your garb and attending a Renaissance Faire? Going with Mitzy Moon!

Sheriff Erick invites Mitzy to the Ren Faire. Unfortunately where Mitzy goes, murder often follows. When the Lord Mayor dies during a joust, is it just a terrible accident or something much worse?

Mitzy goes undercover for clues while the sheriff conducts a more traditional investigation. Now that the two are officially dating it is even easier to collaborate. Can they find the culprit before anyone else falls?

I must confess I love a good cozy mystery, and I also love Mitzi Moon. The main character in this series of novels is smart, sassy and fun, three characteristics I love in a leading lady.

Mitzi is a novice to Renaissance Faires but agrees to attend the local version with her boyfriend, the swoony sheriff Eric. It’s a good thing the law is present as a man is killed during the joust and Mitzi’s sixth sense tells her it’s not an accident. She becomes a pickle-peddling wench and joins the faire cast to gather more information and boy, does she get an earful. Greed, infidelity, and a legendary sword are just a few of the reasons behind the murder. It’s Mitzi’s job to help steer Eric’s investigation in the right direction to capture the culprit before it becomes a double homicide.

There’s plenty of action, interesting characters, and plenty of silliness involved as Mitzi wades into the LARPing crowd and weaves her spell. A great quick read for your weekend entertainment.

Another fabulous installment in the life and times of Mitzy Moon! I love these books and cannot wait for the next one to come out. Each one builds on the previous ones, but can also be read individually without starting the series at the beginning. However, I recommend reading them all, in order to get a deeper insight into each character and how they have evolved. Mitzy is a fun loving gal with some interesting abilities that is always getting wrapped up in somebody’s murder and, along with it, trouble. However, in this book, Mitzy seems a little more put together and in her realm - just a little. In each of these books I find myself talking, more like yelling, to the characters in the book. Especially when, in this book, I was surprised by who reappeared and was behind the troubles and the Renaissance Faire. I found myself wanting to stop reading just so I could have more to read later. These books are fast easy reads that are always good for a few laughs. Once I start reading them, I struggle to be able to put them down.

Swords & Fallen Lords is Book 7 in the Mitzy Moon Mystery Series by Trixie Silverdale.

I listened to the audio versions of this book, and it was fantastic!
I absolutely LOVE this series!

This story is set at a Renaissance Faire, which Mitzy is not the biggest fan of.
Until there is a murder that takes place.

I love the mood ring that Mitzy wears, I think that's such a unique way of dropping clues.

I love the characters in the story, and Ghost-ma is my favorite.

This one kept me guessing until the very end.

A well written, perfectly paced mystery.

Coleen Marlo does such a wonderful job narrating the story and brining the characters to life.

I think this was the best one yet. I really enjoy Mitzy and Erick being a team. Though the relationship between Mitzy and Erick feels like we are back in the 1800s or early 1900s sometimes. Or maybe it feels like they are teenangers and not the adults that they are. I guess in a way it could be kind of sweet to be like they are but in this day in age it seems backwards. The grime and investigation were interesting. It was also neat to see inside Silas's house. I do enjoy this series. I always laugh and have a good time reading it.

Mitzy is FINALLY getting to date her hunky sheriff! When he takes her to the annual Ren Faire she's delighted and surprised by the things that she sees. Some of the surprises aren't fun at all, especially when the jousting turns deadly. You won't want to miss this mystery where Mitzy's film school experience helps her find clues about the real knave.

This is an absolutely hilarious, I can't put it down, wow I didn't see that coming, page turner that will keep you up late reading and laughing out loud!

I'm hooked! I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book and I'm loving listening to the audio versions narrated by Colleen Marlo as they are released. I simply can't get enough of Mitzy Moon, her ghost-ma, Piewacket and all of the other wonderful characters in this series!

Fun at the Faire

Mitzy & Erick's date at the faire turns deadly during a jousting match. Mitzy goes undercover to help find clues. The clues lead them to an old foe. I love this series. It is original, well written with great characters. The stories will grab you from the first pages and take you on a fantastic adventure to the end. They will leave you wanting more. I look forward to reading the next book.

Swords and Fallen Lords is the seventh book in the Mitzy Moon Mysteries series and is an enjoyable paranormal cozy mystery.

This is a truly entertaining read. Mitzy goes to the Renaissance Faire to find a killer after her mood ring gives her a clue. The story is fun to read and kept me reading and laughing from start to finish. I love this series and cannot wait for the next book to be released.

I absolutely love listening to this series! A cozy mystery with a snarky, quick witted female lead with a twist of paranormal assistance! A ghost, a talented cat, an intelligent mentor and a hot sheriff are just the tip of the ice berg of cast members that surround our lovable Mitzy Moon! Add in excellent plotting with multiple suspects to investigate and you'll be guessing until the end who the guilty party is. Lots of laughter is always an added bonus and this book is definitely full of that! If you haven't started the series yet, you really should as you are missing out on loads of fun! The narrator does an outstanding job of bringing our favorite characters to life as well so I definitely would put this series on your must listen list soon!

There is never a dull moment in Mitzy's new life in Pin Cherry Harbor, and all the more so now that she and Sheriff-Too-Hot-To-Handle are taking it to the next level.

Like their date.  At the Ren Faire.  Where they watch the jousting matches.  And witness the Black Knight quite literally kill the Lord Mayor.  That was NOT part of the choreography!  Always at the ready to unveil the truth, Mitzy digs right in to find out if Sir Knight was indeed villainous or framed.

The usual cast of characters make reading this one like a meeting with old friends.  Amidst the Ren Faire subterfuges and treachery is the well loved banter between Ghost-Ma and Mitzy.  Aided as ever by the sage advice and timely intervention of Silas Willoughby.  The timely hints "dropped" by my favourite resident of "almost Canada" - Pyewacket, the Caracal!  And the eerie reappearance of an old nemesis!

Silvertale has done it again with Book Seven.  The inhabitants of Pin Cherry are by now old friends that it's a joy to reconnect with.  Silvertale is outstanding at weaving tales that surprise and delight while still mystifying; this one was over far too soon.  I'm now left waiting anxiously for Mitzy's next adventure, which i know won't be too far behind!  Highly recommend!

[Many thanks to the author for the opportunity to read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.   I was not required to write a review.  This is my honest review, the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own. ]

Love, love, love this series

This book was lots of fun with the addition of the Renaissance Faire. The mystery plot had unexpected twist that I never saw coming. I love the diversity of thecharacters and each character rounds out an excellent core group for the perfect cozy. Each book is so unique. Mitzi's brand of humor is one of my favorite aspects of the whole series.

2020 bk 227: Mitzy has a date with the sheriff - at the annual Renaissance fair. When a man is murdered at the jousting event, right in front of their eyes, the Sheriff and Mitzy spring into action. Of course the fact that Queen Elizabeth has ordered their involvement doesn't hurt. As a Renaissance attendee, the author knows her stuff, and all's faire that ends faire.

Mitzy, Ghost Grams, Pyewacket-need I say more? This is a series everyone should read! I love this series and have from the very beginning! Trixie never fails to add humor in investigating murder and interpersonal relationships!

This cozy mystery series is just what the world needs right now what with the pandemic and now all the civil unrest that is excused by the media, one political party completely and even the cops who just stand around and watch without doing anything to stop any of it!

Turn off the tv and curl up with a good book- this book and this whole series! The blame game will continue without you! They have their agenda and that won’t change as it is still the same thing since all this mess started. Let your mind get caught up in something worth thinking about like who killed the Lord Mayor of the Renaissance Faire in Pin Cherry Harbor? See if you can figure it out as the story moves on to its conclusion. I must admit the ring leader behind it was a surprise to me when it was revealed !

You will not regret reading this series! Start with book one first though because this is such a fun series you don’t want to miss any of it! I believe you will agree with me that Trixie Silvertale is an author you will always want to read! I love all the characters in this series, except the bad guys of course! The only disappointment you will have when you reach the end of the book is that you will have to wait until the next book comes out to get back and see what mischief Mitzy gets into next!

I really loved this book and series. Mitzy and Sheriff too hot to handle are going to the Ren faire on a date. She had no idea he was so into it. Being her first time his little boy enthusiasm made her want to enjoy it and learn more. During the jousting tournament the Lord Mayor is murdered in front of a huge crowd! Mitzy, of course, goes undercover selling pickles to find out about everyone in this tight lipped community! The problem is the case makes no sense! Next thing we know there is a surprise ending.
I love the residents of Pin Cherry Harbor. I love how Mitzy is changing and growing now that she’s getting closer to her ghostma! I real enjoy her and Erich as a couple. I did miss her dad not being in this book. I love the complicated mysteries that you can’t solve in the first five minutes! I love the humor and the close relationships of the characters! I was excited to “see” Silas’ house. It was just as I expected it to be! I highly recommend this book! Now I have to anxiously wait for the next book to come out!

As the seventh book in this series, I can honestly say that each book just gets better and better. The series revolves around Mitzy, her grandmother, and Silas. Mitzy is definitely getting used to being rich and not worrying where her next meal will come from. As an orphan at age 11, she had a tough life going from foster home to foster home. Her grandmother is a total hoot, a ghost who refuses to leave life behind and cross over. Silas is both their lawyer and a powerful alchemist.
This story is about the local renaissance faire. The world building is great and you feel like you are part of the faire. However, the death of the Lord puts a damper on the fun. Can Mitzy solve who is behind the shenanigans or will she just smell like pickles. Enjoy the fun and frivolity of this story and this series, you will be glad you did.

Who knew a renaissance faire could be so deadly? Good thing Sheriff Eric Harper and Mitzy Moon are there to work the case! These books get better with each one! I’m so glad that we learned why Mitzy keeps saying “copy that” because it was really driving me crazy! Lol! But really, her snarky humor and interactions with her Ghost-ma are so much fun! I have the hardest time waiting for the next book to come out!

From the first page, I was happily back in Pin Cherry Harbor - giggling at Mitzy's mishaps as she goes on a date to the Renaissance Faire with Erick. Of course, as happens when Mitzy is around, there is a murder.
This time the victim is killed during a joust with hundreds of witnesses. Unfortunately, all they know is that the Lord Mayor was killed by the Black Knight. Who was the Black Knight? Why was the Lord Mayor targeted? Will Mitzy's special skills lead to the killer in time?
All of my favorite characters have featured roles in this story. Of course, there is plenty of Silas, Grams, and Pyewacket. There is also much more of Twiggy and Erick, which is fantastic!
The Mitzy Moon series is by far my favorite cozy mystery series. Every book is fun, fast-paced, has great characters, and an intriguing mystery!

I liked this book a little less than her last ones-but not enough to drop the star rating down any. I still love the main characters and the story was original. I think it was the renaissance fair setting and I didn’t get enough interaction between Mitzi and her ghost ma or some of the other characters I like to rank it as high as her others. I still found it entertaining and original. The renaissance fair setting was an original thought, just not something I was very into with the language and such. That being said it still was worth the read. I find this series a true delight.
