Two words have haunted me since high school.

Ian Black.

He was one of my brother’s closest friends—which meant he was also completely off-limits.
Not that it mattered. A guy like him would never go for a girl like me.
He was sexy, charming, funny; and I was, well . . . me.
So what does a girl with a totally out of their league crush do? Daydream, fantasize, and then finally move on.
Now, I’m working and living in Paris, and my life is finally starting to come together after all the BS my ex put me through.
Just when I think I’m ready to move on from all the men of my former life, Ian Black reappears like the freaking ghost of Christmas’ past.
Inconvenient timing, but it just might work out to my benefit. Because I’m suddenly in need of a fake boyfriend, and Ian seems like the perfect guy for the job.
He’s still charming, even more sexy, and he’s willing to fake date me just to help piss off my ex. For once in my life, things are almost too good to be true.
Now, the only thing that could go wrong, is if one of us starts confusing fake feelings. . . for real ones.

Brothers Best Friend to (Fake?)Lovers

I initially read the first few chapters of this book as a sample on my kindle.

It sounded promising so, I borrowed the whole book.

What a predictable disappointment.

Libby(Elizebeth) living in Paris for her job, runs into her brothers old best friend, Ian Black. The same best friend she, as a sixteen year old, would drool over.

The drop dead gorgeous, Ian is renown for being a major player.
So, at first things are just the two reconnecting after a decade, but soon Libby is not turning down offers or messages from Ian, and they form a friendship.

It’s not long ( not long at all. There is no slow burn here folks) before Libby and Ian are hooking up and having no strings, guilt free sex....Lots and LOTS of sex. Yep. Things took of fast.

After all Libby has a month left on her work contact, and wants to have some fun, liberating sex.
And Ian, he he always thought Libby was cute and was curious about how she was in the sack, also he will be back Stateside in a week.

However, the moment Libby (Elizabeth) gets a call from her sister reminding her of her Nana and Grandfathers 50th, that she is obligated to attend, that Libby’s hit with the realisation that she will have to comfort her douche bag Ex Chris, as his Grandparents and hers are close friends.

So it’s not long before Annabelle, (Libby’s sister) come up with a plan for Libby to show up at the celebrations on the arm of a hot new date....Who could Libby POSSIBLY convinces to play the roll of her “fake” boyfriend???....Hmmm

Yeah,...once the author got all her ducks in a row, with the characters, this book just basically wrote itself.

EVERYTHING happened as you would predict it would. I stayed with the story to see the confrontation between Libby, Ian and her Ex Chris at the party, and then it was more of exactly what you would expect....Right through to the epilogue.

So after an interesting start, this story became very basic.
