I grew up in the red dirt of Oklahoma, the center of the states. I later meandered out to the West Coast and have remained off-center ever since. Living in Los Angeles, I achieved my Career 1.0 dream by working on big-budget movies for over a decade. If you’ve seen a Will Smith or Tom Cruise blockbuster action movie, you’ve likely seen my work.

The work was challenging and fulfilling… until I got tired of telling other people’s stories. I longed to tell my own. So, now I’m pursuing my Career 2.0 dream—a dream I’ve had since youth—to write stories that pull a reader in and make the everyday world fade away.

I’ve since moved to a small town in Northern California with my lovely wife, vibrant children, and a dog that has discovered the secret to infinite energy. His name is Trip and he fits the name in four unique ways.

Short but enough suspense to make you totally gripped by the story. Definitely follows in with the other stories of this genre. Ready for more.

Short story from the author that I got as a gift for being on his mailing list.

Rachel is your typical stereotype of the current generation, got to get the right hashtag for the image being posted (hence the title). Her parents want an adventure that they thought would be fun, so they travel to a mountain lodge. What follows next is scary as one by one, the people in the lodge start diapering and blood is found.
You will have to read it to see what happens next.
Some scary scenes so it might be good to keep the kids and pre-teens away from this one. Otherwise, fun short read.

Great short story with a lesson to be learned. Can't tell you the lesson or it will give away the story. Read what happens when teen Rachel and her family's vacation takes an unexpected turn. Loved this thrilling telling of a typical teen's weekend getaway with her parents. Received this free and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

What happens when a social media addicted teen has to confront real life and situations that defy her concept of reality, as well as quickly escalating murders in her midst. Once again Mr. Oday has taken an interesting idea and turned it int a short story that holds your attention to that last word.

Another good read from William Oday. Rachel is on a trip with her parents to Twin Forks Lodge. She is completely cut off from cell service and is having a hard time with it. Little does she know what her parents have cooked up for her!

Bone chilling

This story is very realistic and keeps the reader enthralled to the very end. The descriptions are excellent, the characters realistic. Read it.
