3.5 stars. Bit too much sex for my liking, but this is my second reverse harem book (#1 of the series being the first) and I liked it. Unfortunately there is less going on than in the previous installment, but both story and characters held my interest nicely and I’ll be sure to read the sequel.
I love September Stone's writing!! This is a great sequel.to the series. I love the emotions portrayed by all the characters. It made the characters feel real. It's also intense, steamy and has action. So as you know Bryn and the guys are cursed and the only way to break the burden is retrieve a staff for very powerful mage. So on the journey they go. Bryn, Calder and Taj finally get on the same page a out how they feel and oh boy does that get steamy. However, her magic is pulling her towards Poe and hopefully Silas. Then bam all of a sudden something happens to Taj and Calder. Have you heard of focus magic, I haven't but it sure is interesting. Then there is a bad mage that appears and it gets a bit hectic. So Do they find the staff they need to break the curse? Also learn about focus magic? Then read this book, you will not be disappointed.

Where the first book, pretty much centered on being being freed from captivity and getting cursed, this book feels like it the storyline "breathes" a little. The last book felt so rushed, but cramped because all that was accomplished was some backstory and the above things (in quick secession I might add). It really felt like more could have been taken away and then the story continued. I don't know. Read it and decide. Anyway, this story feels like the plot is taking us somewhere. There is character development, more of a story. Though there is heartbreak, I think it will lead HEA in the next book.

You know, I’m not sure the author really gets the appeal of a why-choose fantasy, or suffice to say she and I don’t really get the same things out of it. I want to read about four men having an equal or equitable love match with the same woman, sharing her together or separately as they like, and taking on their problems as a group. What I got, instead, is a book about a cursed woman with one jealous and salty boyfriend, one chill and good to share, one who outright rejects her twice and bounces as soon as the curse is broken, and a fourth who barely deigns to touch her throughout and is literally two seconds away from also dipping out when the plot interrupts on the very last pages. I was willing to put up with the first two for book one, and then I figured she’d add #3 to the harem in book 2, and #4 in book three. Now I’m not so sure this is going to go the way I think it should, and I’m kinda salty about it.
*Spoilers Alert* If you havent read book 1 then this review will mean nothing to you. Read it its good!! In book 2 Bryn, Calder, Taj, Poe and Silas are still trying to find a way to remove the death curse thats bound them together. Only thats not the only thing thats keeping them together now. I love the relationship between Bryn, Calder and Taj but im also dying to see where things are going with Poe and Silas. It keeps you guessing plus the sexual tension with Bryn and all of them is delicious. Hot! Just a fabulous book and the ending made my jaw drop thats for sure. Bring on book 3 i need to know whats going to happen, lol
The second book in the series is a continuation from the first book. It was beautifully written and the characters have grown so beautifully. We do not see as much action in this one as we did in the first book but, it was written so well that it still holds your attention with its mysteries. Bryn and the guys are dealing with a lot of drama and mystery as they try to break their curse. We learn more about the characters that allows us to connect with them even more. The story does end in a cliffhanger but the road to it was fantastic. It definitely pulls you in and doesn’t let go. This is definitely a must read.
I love Kindle Unlimited as it frees me to experiment and find the occasional gem of a book. September Stone’s Captive Witch, the first in her Twin Rivers Captive series, was one such gem. No surprise then that I’ve been looking forward to Cursed Witch (Book 2). Happily it was equally well done fun. Really a superb mix of urban fantasy, adventure and reverse harem romance - and very easy to recommend.
I would have given the book a three except when I went to download the next in the series it is buy only. I am not a fan of bair and switch which is what I consider it when you put two or more of the series on KU and then the rest are purchase only. While I did enjoy this book enough to read the next one, I didnt enough to reward this tactic.
This is a continuation from the first book. You hope the five of them can find a cure for the death curse. As the story goes on you feel the friendship and bonds that are growing. I personally thought it went to much into sex scenes then seemed necessary. The story was good and now I'm on to the third because I want to know what happens to the friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I gave it a 4 star rating. Brynn is learning to survive in this world while also trying to manage her relationships that she don’t understand. Her magic is calling to multiple men can she need them all and will they all accept? They have to find an artifact to help break the curse I will be continuing to the next book.
Book 2 of the series thoroughly enjoying it characters just get better and loving all the twists and turns along the way. Can't wait to read the next would recommended this series.
Lots of action, adventure, and subterfuge in this one as the group continues to look for the staff needed for the mage to break their curse. Several of the guys continue to be incredibly stubborn!!
I really like September Stone's romance writing. This was definitely spicy and the reverse harem is a little too much for me but I loved the magic system and the plot!
Like the other Twin Rivers books by September Stone, I found this to be another fun, sexy read. Our group is headed off in search of the staff Elowen requires as payment to lift the curse that binds them, and in their quest, Bryn has to come to grips with the fact that she's begun feeling a pull to Poe and Silas alongside her favorite two men. The struggle of emotions, the hesitation some of them feel at falling for a woman who isn't solely theirs, and the ever-present threat of death that hangs above them makes for a read that you can't put down. I like how Stone does a good job at giving depth to her characters, making it easy to see how our lead is so drawn to each of the guys. Everyone is flawed, in a way that allows them all to balance each other.
It's an entertaining story, and I like how it links to the previous trilogy (though it's not necessary to read the other series, they do all flow nicely together). While there isn't a huge cliffhanger at the end, there is a larger game at play that is left unsolved, obviously leading to the next book. Definitely looking forward to what comes next.

Great sequel to the first novel. Well written plot and story line that kept me hooked to the end. Well written characters that I am enjoying reading about and following. Can't wait to read the next one to see what happens after that ending!

Bryn is on the hunt for the Staff of Rahn so the curse can be removed from all five of them. Silas, Calder, Taj and Poe. They go to all the locations they find reference to in magical books and they seek guidance from all the places they travel to, as well as sorting out their whole relationship with each other. Bryn discovers that she is a magical focus and she needs the men to draw on their magic when she needs it, just as they need to draw on her magic to boost their magic. They have to battle for their lives with an evil mage and try to make it back to Elowen in time for her to remove the curse before they all die. The book ends leading off for book three with a cliffhanger.

Cursed Witch by Stephanie Stone is the second book in the Twin Rivers Captive series. This book is about a witch named Bryn and her four protectors Calder, Taj, Silas, and Poe who have been placed under a curse that will cause them to die if they do not find a cure in time. This story is a magical adventure full of lots of mysteries to solve and items to find. This is the perfect book for anyone who enjoys a reverse harem romance story full of suspense and lots of twists and turns. This story continually surprised me which is why I loved reading this book. Cursed Witch is a magical adventure.
Bryn, Calder, Taj and Poe have been cursed by Silas - and he is included in the death curse. When the priests attempt to life the curse, Taj and Calder are injured. To save them, and herself as her magic is being leeched from her, Bryn sleeps with Poe - which creates problems with Calder and Taj when they wake up. They must get the artifact to Elowen before the next full moon, or they will all die. And what does Mona want? Bryn has no trust for her. Loving this series and cant wait to read more

Wow another exciting, entertaining, heart pounding addition to this series I loved it and I can’t wait to get my hands on book 3. Bryn and her men have to find a powerful relic a staff for the mage Elowen to lift the death curse, they go to a priesthood and they tell Bryn that they can lift the curse but they couldn’t and it backfires on Calder and Taj and Bryn finds out that the priesthood can’t be trusted so now she will do what she has to to save her men. This is an amazing story/ series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Not only is Bryn cursed to die at the next full moon, but so are her four Guardians. This is book two in the Twin River Captive and the plight to find the Staff ensues in an action packed read. Bryn is involved with Taj and Calder and she is considering adding Silas and Poe, the last two Guardians. Many steamy scenes. A surprise person asks for Bryn’s help at the conclusion. Good read.

We have some adventure and suspense. Bryn and the 4 guys that are cursed with her are still looking for the Staff of Rahn. They keep following leads and coming into danger. Will they find it? Will they make it thru everything? What will happen if they don't find the staff for Elowen? Can they ever get free? What are all these feelings Bryn have for these guys? What will happen at the end?

Such an amazing series. September Stone has a way of capturing fantasy, that springs to life off the pages. Bryn is transforming and finding herself, as she eludes imminent death and power grabs. Along the way, she finds herself connecting to a quartet of men. Amazing adventures and relationships blossoming together.
