Josie No matter what I do in life, it will never be good enough for my family.
It’s not until my killjoy older brother calls to tell me that I have to stop spending his money and get a real job that I realize I have no direction in life.
But then I meet my new boss. Ben Talbot is sexy, serious, and a control freak in the boardroom and the bedroom.
As we spend time together, I get to know more about myself and the things that are actually important.
Instead of looking to others for approval, can I create a life that’s good enough for me?
Ben As the face of Talbot Investments, it’s my responsibility to maintain a certain professional image. That’s why I run my business and my life with an iron fist.
At least, until my friend’s little sister comes to work for me and turns my world upside down.
Josie Kline is wild, curvy, and needs someone to show her who’s boss.
And I think I might be just the guy for the job, but only if I can loosen up enough to make space for her in my life.
C.L. Cruz writes short, steamy romance with curvy girls and the men who love them. She is a single mom of two kids currently seeking her own happily ever after.
Wow, this book is naughty and I love it. Josie is at the airport and she runs into this guy who is so hot that she gives him a nickname. They have a little verbal match between them and she thought that she was never going to see him again that is until he turns out to be her new boss. They have this chemistry and attraction that was so hot. Loved every minute of this story. This book will hook you from page one and keep you there until the very end.

He reaches out and grabs my wrist again. Before we’re through, I’m going to have a bracelet of bruises there if he keeps this up. “Your orgasms belong to me,” he growls. “This”—he cups my center over my dress—“belongs to me. Don’t let me find out that you touched yourself, or I will never touch you again.”
This book was my kind of steam. So hot! It’s absolutely going on my re-read shelf. I don’t usually like guys who frequent sex clubs, they just seem to rub my the wrong way. But since the author didn’t focus on that in any great detail, I got over it. Such a good short read!

Review : I loved this cute and sexy romance. Josie and Ben meet at the airport and have a sexy moment and Ben can't stop thinking about her . And it turns out he's her boss she's his new assistant. And they having many flirty moments . Josie is sick of being a joke to her family who look down on her . She goes to Ben office and they end up having sex multiple times and Ben knows its not just sex . But then Bens asshole father sells his half to this guy Max who seems like a dick. Ben leaves the meeting to find Josie at a karaoke bar and he ends up singing to her so cute . The epiloge shows Ben and Josie got married . Josie travels and writes a book I enjoyed this cute romance.
Quotes: It’s time to learn to follow directions, and you can start with mine. Don’t make me punish you.” Holy shit, why did that just make my panties wet? When I realize my lips are parted and I’m breathing hard, I snap my jaw shut and grind out, “I’m sorry, what?” “You heard me.” His eyes drop to my lips, then my breasts, and then back up to my face. I think he’s going to kiss me, and bet your ass I would let him, but then he says, “I will take you over my knee right here in front of all these people, and no one will say a word to me.” Rich, entitled bastard. I’ve known plenty of men like him, but none of them have ever threatened to spank me. If they had, maybe I would have had a much more exciting time these last few years
First of all, I don’t need anyone to keep an eye on me. Secondly, I also don’t need anyone to get me under control. And last of all, I live in the world you all created for me, so if you don’t like it, maybe you should take a good, long look at yourselves.”
“I’ll have you know,” I say, looking up at her between the valley of her breasts. “I don’t kneel for anyone. Only for you.”

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Ben and Josie. They met at an airport in line, then again at the airport lounge. Josie was on her way home after being cut off by her family and told she had to get a job. Ben was a businessman and when Josie tried to flirt with Ben, he took control and threatened to spank her. Ben then made her give him her panties, leaving Josie stunned. When Ben returned to work, he was told his friend's sister was starting working today, he had forgot, and Ben was shocked to see Josie was the sister. Ben took control and bossed Josie around, and she was shocked too find she loved it. When Josie saw Ben at a bar later that night, he again told her what to do and told her he would punish her if she didn't obey him. Josie wants the approval of her family, but she also knows she will never get it. Ben has always only focused on work, and now Josie has his attention. I loved this story. Both Ben and Josie needed someone to believe in them. Ben believed in Josie and thought she could be anything she wanted, as long as she was his. I love how dominate Ben was and how he took control of Josie. Well done.
Josie and Ben meet at an airport but don’t know each other’s names and leave it at that. Josie’s brother Tobias gets her a job at Ben’s company and she is Bens new PA. They share a few heated moments due to tardiness and some scenes with tension but all that changes one night when Ben gives in to all his dirty fantasies and I think this book was a love at first sight thing but the MC’s didn’t know at all. It was just their self development in the way of them growing together. The love was there but both Ben and Josie needed a little push. Anyway Ben finally puts his pride to the side and his control over every situation and declared his love for her in a bar after meeting with Max, he’d realised to get what he wanted and not give shit about others who’d rather see him fail. Josie was that person to him. She was his sunshine, his personal jokester. His lover. His treasure. His everything. Ultimate love story. I cried when he’d finally admitted he’d loved her.
For a very quick read it was well put together and the plot is pretty solid. Joies is sweet and Ben is hot! Match made in heaven. They both are tired of living to only please and find their happiness in each other! If your looking for a quick hot read this is it! #MyBookObsessionApproved!
Romance trope: office romance Series: Bad Bosses Length: 74 pages
Plot: Josie is the classic spoiled rich girl, traveling around the world, spending her family's money, until they tell her to come home and do something with her life. She meets Ben, first in the airport on the way home, and then as her new boss. He's like her to do something with her life as well, but he might want to include himself in her list of things to do.
Commentary: Spoiled rich girl is not my favorite - it's really difficult to imagine myself in the shoes of that kind of character. But her family was pretty awful to her (mostly her dad but the others weren't great) and that must have had a hand in forming her character as she grew up. This was steamy and ultimately had a satisfying end, with Josie finding a place in the world that took advantage of her strengths and love for traveling.
It's a stalemate; he wants her to get serious and work, while she wants him to loosen up and learn to have fun.
Josie Kline is "lucky" enough to be stopped for a TSA search at the airport. Just her luck, as she's leaving, she's seated next to a guy she'd like to get to know, although she's certain he's waaay out of her league. She's certain his shoes cost about $10K a pair.
She's on her way back to the US courtesy of a ticket provided by her older brother, Tobias. He's the responsible one with the MBA who took over their dad's company. Unfortunately for him, he's also been put in charge of taking care of her. Nothing has ever been expected of her before.
Ben is the CEO of Talbot Investments, one of the world's largest and most profitable investment firms. He can't seem to forget Airport Girl. He could have gotten away with spanking her and paying off anyone else in the airport lounge, but his father, Clarence Talbot, is just waiting for him to foul up so he can swoop in and save the day. Ben will never give him that opportunity. It still hurts, though, when later his father betrays him out of spite.
When he arrives at work the next morning, his executive assistant, Dev, reminds him that his new personal assistant, Josephine Kline, will be starting today. He'd forgotten all about her. Normally he'd never hire anyone without experience, but he owed Toby Kline a big favor.
Josie has never been held accountable for her actions or expected to really do much of anything. Then all of a sudden her family is disappointed in her because she hasn't made her life worthwhile. She's suddenly cut off from the good life, and she resents it greatly! To her, it was as if she wasn't raised to do anything other than marry some rich guy and start popping out babies, if that's what HE wanted. No one has ever asked her what she'd like to do. She's just told by everyone to "grow up and become a productive member of society."
It's hard to guess whether Josie or Ben was more surprised when she showed up to work for him. He may get her to buckle down and work, but she's going to get him to loosen up if it kills her—that is, if he doesn't kill her first!

I think this is my new favorite book by C.L. Cruz. I really loved the story. The characters were awesome and interesting.
Josie is what some would call a spoiled little rich girl, but then her older brother cuts her off. Her brother tells her that it's time that she earns a living and learns what real life is like. She meets an interesting and controlling man only to find out that he's her new boss. Ben Talbot is serious and all about work except with her. Josie starts to learn more about herself and what's important in her life by spending time with Ben.
Ben is very controlled, he has to be to present a certain image as the leader of Talbot Investments. His world gets flipped upside down when he agrees to do a favor for a friend by letting his friend’s little sister come to work for him. When he meets his friend's little sister, he's excited and tries not to be. Josie Kline is wild, curvy, and needs someone to show her who’s boss and Ben is going to give it a shot. He just has to figure out what his priorities are so that he can be happy, hopefully with Josie.
Their first meeting blew me away. I was just like - WOW! The way Josie's family treated her made me angry, but I guess it was good because she knew the difference between the way Ben treated her and what they did. I loved that Ben was so encouraging and supportive of Josie. I loved their happy ever after although I do wish there was another epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

Naughty Boss, Ben—the panty collector—was fun to read! Lots of sexual tension and heat in the office setting, and the writer has a witty sense of humor that they tend to incorporate in their characters’ dialogue. I’ve got lots of highlights! Also, I love the allusion to shameless exhibitionism as the couple’s relationship progresses. One thing I noticed throughout and didn’t like, however, was how the “mean girls”/gold diggers were *always* blondes. Like, it seemed as though(to me) that their being blonde was a significant character trait to reference in wording in order to further cast them in this negative, shallow light…I feel like this is an outdated stereotype, and whenever I see it, I get uncomfortable (as a blonde woman, myself). I understand that the women in particular were meant to be model-esque in body shape and so the MC was feeling a certain type of way whilst in the same room as them, but regardless of that—they were still always blondes, lol. (Curvy MC’s don’t always have to be brunettes🥺👉👈) So, I’m not a fan of the villainizing of blonde women. Other than that—it’s a quick and easy, steamy insta-love with a curvy MC. Pretty straight-forward! 👍🏻🥰
This story is a very quick, easy read. It's actually quite light and fluffy, so I don't know why it gets such heavy marks for 'steaminess' when at best, this is a mild boil. The entire relationship story spans over a time frame of about 5 or 6 days which makes a lot of what happens unbelievable and a little eye rolling, but I just wanted to be entertained so I kept reading. Elements that are written about in the story are completely left open and hanging at the end - Does he actually become partners with that Hawthorne guy that just got shares in his company? What about those friends of hers? Her brother? Her folks? Nothing. You get no answers what so ever.
This H is written as a smart, no nonsense kind of guy that's all about business, but apparently, one panty sniff of our h's amazing pussy juices, and this guy forgets everything there is to know about business and how to actually do business. I swear, these magical vagina's that spit out unicorns, where can I get one??
Believability is sorely lacking in this, but if you're willing to toss common sense and good writing out the window, you should find this a quick, nice read.
A surprising interaction 4.5 Very good, well written and hot story about the discovery and expression of what the heroine, Josie, is. She tried not to stay with her family for 5 years, while traveling, but while staying in the same circle of high society frequentations and she discovers that she is not appreciated for her true value, but that she's taken as a traveling cliché of young socialite. Before returning to the country, she met Ben and their exchange was quite destabilizing for Josie. But when she begins a new work (which she does not want to do, but has to because she has been disinherited) she discovers that her boss is none other than the stranger encountered the day before. Their professional but also personal relationship is very complex knowing that they are in the same circles, but that the particular request of Ben, always destabilizes Josie, but, at the same time, excites her and opens her too, forcing her to do choices facing her family. Naughty Boss: A Curvy Woman Office Romance is one of the books in Liz Fox’s Bad Boss series. In this book we meet Miriam Delgado and Drake Gallagher. Miriam works for Drake. She is efficient, sassy, beautiful, caring, and intelligent. He is known in Oakwood City as a financial genius. There is an attraction between these two, but they work hard to keep it at bay. Will their strong personalities get in the way of their happiness? Get this book to find out what happens to them. This charming romantic short story is well-written. I enjoy Ms. Fox’s characters. They are multi-dimensional. Her secondary characters are also multi-dimensional. The continued use of previous characters like Maximillian Hawthorne as well as the four female friends adds a sense of community. It was clever how Ms. Fox referenced a contemporary romance writer, C. L. Cruz, into this story line. I appreciated Ms. Fox’s use of dialog and descriptive language. Her skill with these literary devices paints vivid scenes and pull readers into the story. This is a perfect book to read at the end of a busy day.
This was a fun, steamy book featuring a business orientated relationship between domineering Ben and rich girl trying -to-find-herself Josie. I enjoyed the plot of this book and the development of the relationship over time, even though it was very quick in the mutual attraction. The was a couple of sub plots that helped bring In tension and move the story along well but being a novella the author certainly provided a complete story. I do wish it was a little longer as I enjoyed these characters and am interested to know more about their relationship in future although being the first I the series in hoping they will present in future books. Loving C L Cruz's work and writing style, the books are always easy to read, and a nice experience.

OMG – Love this boss! This was a different book from C.L. Cruz, but I love it. The story line was great mixing in the alpha and naughty scenes was pretty good. This story is about Josie and Ben. They have an encounter in the airport which leaves Josie without any panties. Ben is all business and his pleasure are just that a one-time thing. When the meet up again is when the story takes off because Josie is Ben’s new assistant, but they never introduced themselves properly at the airport, so they no clue who they were. The story is pretty good, you learn who your friends are and who are not and in Josies case she learns that she is on her own…. I love the ending as a good man will know when to deal with business and pleasure.

This book really rubbed me the wrong way. I should've stopped reading when the hero said how every woman likes to be told what to do and they all get wet when men tell them what to do. This happened in first chapter and it already made dislike the hero, heroine and the author for writing something so stupid and offensive. But I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because the writing was decent. The next 3 chapters only got worse and were filled with him being an asshole and her saying 'how dare he? my panties are wet'. I just can't stand spineless, stupid women, and men, and I can't decide if the hero was worse or the heroine. She was definitely more stupid. I don't think I'll read anything else by this author.
Naughty Boss was a fast-paced and utterly absorbing novella. That I could not put down as it was packed full of chemistry, interesting characters and a few moments of heat.
And it's definitely my favourite C.L Cruz book to date not to mention a cracking start to the Bad Bosses series.
Would definitely recommend.

Josie has been spoiled all her life. She grew up rich and now everyone wants her to grow up and become a productive adult. Her brother sets up a job for her with Ben Talbot. Sock. They met at the airport on her way back home from Europe. Love the interaction between the two. They have great banter, they can laugh and love and they both find that they really do have the same goals. Great story. Highly recommend. What can I say, this book had me laughing out loud and swooning all in the same paragraph. I loved how sassy and independent the heroine was and that when we finally found her love and passion she dug her heals in and went for it.
I also loved that the hero, found what really made him happy and what he was truly lacking and he to went for it and never looked back.
I really like this story. It was engaging, interesting and sweet. Ben is smart, rich, handsome and serious. He is love structure and simple life. That all changes when he meet Josephine. Josephine is smart, young, carefree and pretty. She is getting cut off she got to work then she meets Ben. This is a great quick read. The writing was done beautifully and flows throughout the book. The chemistry between Ben and Josephine is amazing. Amazing work again C.L. Cruz!
They are totally opposites in so many ways. their first encounter is at the airport, and she is so enamored that she gives him a nick name, but they also have a verbal match, and she thinks that is the end of it that is until she arrives to work, and he is the new boss, and she just flips the switch on him. This had me from the first page and I know I will be rereading this one! story.

Josie and Ben's steamy office romance started when they met at the airport and had some steamy time thinking they'd never see each other again. She's back home because her family has cut her off and wants her to get a job, and as luck would have it, her new boss is Ben, and sparks are flying at the office. This is a short and steamy office romance between characters that have great chemistry, fun banter, and a great ending. Naughty Boss is book one in the Bad Bosses series.
This dirty little tale will capture your heart. Spoiled rich girl, Josie, is so busy playing her role she can't be herself but when she meets sexy Ben at an airport and later as his new personal assistant all that changes and she learns that she is more than the role girl rich family pushed her to become.

Ben is controlling and dominant, but meeting Josie brings out a whole new side to him and it was interesting to see how he dealt with that. I liked how Josie discovered who she really was, that she embraced it and this affected both her and Ben.

An entertaining, fast pace, and intriguing read! The story line is well-developed, well written, witty, funny, engaging, emotionally deep, and interesting with drama and ups and downs. The characters are likeable; their chemistry is instant, undeniable, and off the charts! Definitely recommended!
