Texas Men is an anthology of three short very sexy stories by Delilah Devlin, all revolving around three men in a small Texas town.
Bound and Determined
Tara Toomey owns her own bar and enjoys what she does. She’s never found the right man, though, to share her life with. Now she feels like she’s past her prime and has accepted that love just might not be in the cards for her.
Cody Westhofen is probably the most beautiful man she has ever known, but every other female in the city feels the same way. And Cody makes sure to spend time with every single one of those women. Tara never wanted to just be one of Cody’s many admirers but things led to things and they sort of had an open door policy between them. Cody would just show up at her house every so often and they would have sex.
Tara accepted that this was all they would ever be but something happened to her the night of the auction when Cody was one of the prizes. She could not let one of those other women win him. It had to be her. And once she won him, she would make sure she got her money’s worth.
The night that follows was a night for them to finally open up, bare their souls, and plenty more, to each other. It could be a night for breakthroughs or it could be their last night together. Which one will it be?

Logan was with Joe and Sarah and they were doing things that Amy never imagined. She simply couldn’t look away. Logan knew all along they were being watched and he knew it was only a matter of time until Amy would be his. Could the proper school teacher really accept Logan and his way of life or does she simply prefer to watch?
All three of these are super sexy and short. This was my first book by Delilah Devlin and most definitely won’t be my last.

I can't believe I feel this way, but I really liked this book. Really. And the fact that it had various degrees of BDSM in the three different stories didn't 'ick' me out either. Oh at times it was plenty kinky, but I guess what set it apart from other books with BDSM is that there was nothing that I thought that was demeaning--no public humiliations, no real Master/Slave vibe, no flogging that ended up leaving welts, etc. Maybe it was BDSM lite--who knows? All I know is that I thoroughly enjoyed each of the three hot stories, and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. All the stories are inter-related, and one of the stories features a prominent character from the author's previous book, Down In Texas.
In Bound and Determined, 42 year old bar owner Tara Toomey is hosting the annual charity bachelor auction in Honkeytonk, Texas. Her 'friend-with-benefits', part-time-lover, devilishly charming, smokin-hot cowboy and self-professed 'man-whore' Cody Westhofen is the star attraction. Cody will guarantee a lady a good time, and the hundreds of ladies at the auction would love to win a date with the local 32 year old stud. Tara and Cody already have a casual sexual relationship, but suddenly the thought of Cody going home with yet another one-night-stand has Tara bidding an unheard of amount to prevent that from happening. But what will she do with him now that she's 'won' him? Will she admit to herself that her feelings for Cody have deepened? And won't she be surprised if Cody feels the same way?
I thought this was a fun, sexy story, with some real poignant moments between Tara and Cody. Despite outward appearances and actions, because of a sad childhood and an experience with an older woman as a teen, Cody really was suffering from low self-esteem and felt undeserving of love. When he said "...I figure I'll never be anyone's one and only, I'll settle for being the best she's ever had", that just made me sad. And Tara felt that maybe she was unable to love, and it took her a while to realize that her feelings for Cody were actually love. I just loved it when these two wary people decided to lay their feelings on the line and take a chance on love.
Now, the sex scenes were plenty hot, and there was a touch of bondage involved, but nothing too kinky. That happens in the next two stories...
Breezy Ridin' was undoubtedly the kinkiest of the three stories, featuring a menage between new-in-town sheriff's deputies Joe Chavez and Logan Ross, and wild-girl, judge's daughter Sarah Michaelson. Logan's a dom, known for training submissives. Joe's a wannabe dom, and he wants Sarah. Joe thinks Sarah's in need of a little taming, needs some discipline and wants to teach her to 'obey', and with Logan's help he sets out to do that. There is lots of kinky goings-on in this story, including bound hands, nipple clamps, flogging, blindfolds, sex toys (including fruit!) oral and anal sex, etc, etc...All that sounds worse than it actually is, because it was plenty erotic yet didn't quite cross the line as being too much. There was one scene though, that had me worrying about where the hero was going to put his mouth next...yuk!

Logan's buff, macho, and a huge hunk of man, and finds himself attracted to a woman who is the total opposite of his usual 'type'. Schoolteacher (and next door neighbor) Amy Keating is tall (nearly 6 feet), slim, coltish, and ordinary looking, but there's something about her...Logan feels he has to have her, and she would make a good 'sub'. He's been giving her 'sneak peeks' of his dom lifestyle through his open 'playroom' window, and he knows she's aware of him. If she's as interested in him as he thinks she is, he doesn't want there to be any secrets about what he expects of her.
Amy's interested alright, but can't believe that a guy like Logan would be interested in a boring plain jane like her. But when Logan makes his move and asks her out, she decides to throw caution to the wind and go for it. And boy oh boy does she 'get it'. Logan plans to take things slow, and gradually introduce her to his lifestyle. He's actually quite the romantic, researching romance novels for ideas (rose petals on the bed), giving her a soothing bath, but he takes things a huge step forward when he gives her an intimate 'shave'. Yikes! It's full speed ahead after that, and Logan loses all control. And shy 'schoolteacher' (he likes to call her that) Amy proves to be a willing student in the bedroom, taking to the 'sub' role with much gusto. Looks like Logan has found his match...
This one was unexpectedly, intensely hot. The way that Logan was painted as this big bad dom, I kind of feared for poor innocent Amy! But he was actually respectful and very sweet, and never pushed her beyond her limits. And their love scenes were scorchin' hot! I was kind of surprised at how easily Amy embraced Logan's lifestyle, and I liked the spunk she showed toward Logan--this girl wasn't a total 'sub' yet, but I felt that would be okay with Logan.
So, if you're looking for an erotic anthology featuring some good ol' Texas bad boys and the women that they 'tame', and you don't mind reading about a little BDSM in the process, give Texas Men a chance. Guaranteed good fun! 4 1/2 stars.

Pero liiiiiiike que fue eso! 100% hot and steamy! For the first time I understand the term burn through the page! 3.5/5 because I felt like the connections were a tad bit undeveloped and I wish there could have been more interaction between the couples, speaking Joe, Sarah, Amy and Logan. Nonetheless I completely enjoyed every second of this book. Seriously naughty stuff!!

3 steamy interrelated novellas about the men of the small Texas town of Honkytonk (I know, totally corny). These novellas have the characters interweaved within them and I think that does make a (good) difference in the storytelling.
The set-up and first story is Bound and Determined about a 40-something bar owner that bids on cowboy Cody, the local bad boy. They've had an on-again/off-again relationship and she wants him and is jealous of the attention that he generates at the cowboy charity auction that is held annually at her bar. Cody is enamored of Tara as well because he doesn't feel like a piece of meat around her and he is clueless about why she is pinging back and forth about their relationship. Tara finally resorts to chaining Cody down so that they can work some things out between them. Oh, my! Do they ever!
The second novella is Breezy Ridin' and it centers on Sarah, the local bad girl. She's been rumored to have cornered Cody (from the first story) in the men's room as well as a few other wild escapades. One of the newer deputies in town, Joe, enlists the help of his buddy, Logan, to get her on the straight and narrow. They set her up with the help of a third friend in a dare that requires her to ride a motorcycle naked past the bar and then pull her over before she gets there. This story is VERY steamy with lots of menage action and light bondage. Hot, but not for the faint of heart.
The third novella is Night Watch and this time Logan, the lone man without a steady woman, has set his sights on the local schoolteacher, Amy. Amy is tall and rather awkward and shy. He's noticed her out and about town and has seen her watching the stars from her back porch just behind his house. He sets out, with the help of Sarah and Joe from Breezy Ridin', to give her something to watch. She is fascinated and attracted to the bondage play of the three of them and Logan sees that she is and carefully courts her. I found this story the most fun and the hottest of the three. There is so much in the careful courtship of Amy by Logan that is so tender and sweet - not at all what you expect after hearing the entire book how much he was into the dom side.

Short but well written light erotica.
I love DD writing, but the stories are too short. If they were purely erotic then I could get that, but these are interconnected and the build up in each case is towards a forever kind of love, so the characters feel incomplete which makes the story feel the same. i loved the first one about Cody and Tammy, it is quite unique and my heart broke for Cody who struggled to get over his past. The second book about Sarah and Joe could have been better if there had been some substance to it, but it was funny and entertaining. The third story of Logan and Amy was adorable but again ended too soon for me to feel that this was more than an 1NS, but in my imagination they will be happy. I am not sure I would recommend these because the only strong thing about these stories is skillful writing of this author, but overall missing the feel-good factor.

This book has 3 separate, but inter-related stories, the first of which includes characters introduced in Delilah Devlin's previous book Down in Texas. The first story, Bound and Determined, is what drew me to the book initially, but the 3rd story, Night Watch, is much better than the first. The middle story was so-so for me.

Starts off with a great little story. I read it a few days ago and now I can't remember the other two stories but I do remember the first one. Loved it.
That's not to say I didn't thoroughly enjoy the other two stories, I did. So much so that I went and got the book "Down in Texas" (didn't like it as much) which is sort of like the prequel.

I really enjoyed this trio of stories. It gave a wide variety of stories to read and will satiate any appetite. If you are looking for hot, sexy read, Texas Men fits the bill.
