3.5⭐
I'm not an expert but it seems that manga, by necessity, has to be loosely woven and pretty plot-holey, which leaves me kind of unsatisfied. It's like cheesecloth rather than satin, if you get me.
But it was a page turner with a cool setting and excellent art.

I loved this so much, i just absolutely love stories like these. So much complexity and depth in the social commentary and i think the use of children as the main protagonists to execute the story was an excellent choice. It’s gonna be really hard to top this off as the best thing i read this year.

Manga really isn't my thing but I enjoyed reading these for book club. The story was engaging from the jump and I just might finish the rest of them.

Builds tension in an amazing way, with characters that you want to root for. (Idealistic? Yes. But it's how they survive!)

The artstyle is consistently mindblowing. Great detail!
