La Burle

Rate this book

I read a copy lent to me by the translator, otherwise I doubt whether I would have picked up on this book. I'm glad a read it. A raw, honest and acerbic look at rural France, an antidote to books like "A Year in Provence." The translation was enjoyable and entertaining too, and the book made me want to know more about the writer and the part of France in which he practised as a doctor. An enjoyable read.
