Mr. Right: The Complete Fake Engagement Series

Rate this book

Three scorching-hot football romances in one must-read collection!  Fake engagement has never been this good.

Book 1: Engaged to Mr. Right
I never wanted a wife.
The only thing I wanted was to play football.

But now, with my knee blown out and my parents hearing wedding bells, my life isn't exactly going according to plan.

At least my physiotherapist, Naomi, is sexy as sin, right?

That's what I tell myself, until someone snaps a photo of us together and all hell breaks loose.

'Billionaire Bachelor Engaged', the headlines scream.

Fantastic.

They're only tabloids, and I should just brush it off.

But Naomi needs a bit of cash, and I need to buy some time. And plus, I'm a sucker for a damsel in distress.

So, we're engaged.
Or at least, we're pretending to be.

...until it starts to feel a little too real, and I don't know if I want to pretend at all.

Engaged to Mr. Right features a brooding, alpha hero and his feisty, no-BS heroine. It's one of three books included the Mr. Right Series collection.  You'll also get Engaged to Mr. Wrong and Engaged to Mr. Perfect.  Sizzling-hot, absolutely swoonworthy, and packed full of oh-so-satisfying moments, this collection is a must-read!

Lilian Monroe lives in a luxurious jungle treehouse surrounded by lush greenery, with an army of scantily-clad men with rippling abdominal muscles ready to attend to her every need.

No, wait. That's not true.

Lilian Monroe spends her days dangling her feet into her pool, while a scantily-clad pool boy with rippling abdominal muscles feeds her chocolate-covered strawberries and massages her back.

Okay, okay. You got me. That's not true, either. Let's try again.

Lilian Monroe lives at home with her two children, three dogs, and twelve chickens. Her husband likes to work shirtless in the back yard. His sweaty, gleaming abdominal muscles ripple with every movement and he—

I'm sorry. I have to stop. Fine, I'll admit it. That one isn't true either.

How about this: Lilian Monroe loves thinking about men with rippling abdominal muscles serving her hand and foot, and she wants you to think about them too! She is an avid reader, writer, and lover of all things romance.

She loves everything from bad boys to billionaires. Her books are packed with sizzling-hot heat, action, suspense, and everything from second chances to single dads. She hates cheating and loves a good happily ever after (and rippling abs).

Had me the whole way through!

I enjoyed this box set. It was light and easy to read and kept me entertained. The fact that each story was somehow intertwined with the other was sweet, and the characters were likeable.

Engaged to Mr. Right: A Fake Marriage Romance (Mr. Right Series Book 1) by Lilian Monroe

Max had big dreams but four years ago a tackle shattered his knee, his dream of going to the NFL and the woman that he thought loved him. Now, he spends his Monday at physical therapy. The only bright spot is his therapist, Naomi. He never knew the knee was erogenous zone but it’s doing all sorts of things to his system when she touches it. Naomi looks forward to Mondays and working with Max. For one, it gives her an excuse to put her hands on him. When Max’s parents give him an ultimatum of either get married or he loses his inheritance, he turns to only woman he can think of for help. When he asks her, she is understandably shocked? When she agrees he ask his fake fiancé on a real date so they can get to know each other. At least that is what he is telling himself.

This is a great start to a new series by Lilian Monroe! I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two characters. I laughed at the banter between Max and Naomi and how she always seems to have the last word. The relationship was endearing in so many ways. Max cared about her and wanted to comfort her from the very beginning. It even followed into his interactions with her mother and her situation. Naomi was good for him because she grounded him with all the chaos with is parents. She gave him strength to be himself. I about lost it when she couldn’t find the coffee cups in his kitchen and the fancy wine! At 2 am I tried so hard to be quiet and not laugh but it made it worse!

Engaged to Mr. Wrong, A Sports Romance (Mr. Right Series: Book 2) by Lilian Monroe

Farrah’s relationship with Elijah has always been a rocky one. They have been together for over two years and she doesn’t want to just throw it away. He only cares about himself and most of the time he is flirting with other girls even in front of her. His older brother, Jesse is the complete opposite.

I think I smiled almost the entire time I read this book. Farrah and Jesse together just make me happy and I don’t mind admitting it in the least. She knows that being with Jesse is wrong on so many levels and that people won’t understand. But in the end, the heart wants what the heart wants. She gave her heart to him when he took the splinter out of her hand. Jesse puts her first and cares about what she wants. He asks about her dreams, her goals. None of the other men in her life ever did that. These are two people that are so perfect for each other and I know I say that a lot, but they are. They raise each other up and without wanting anything in return.

Engaged to Mr. Perfect, An Accidental Marriage Romance (Mr. Right Series: Book 3) by Lilian Monroe

Meghan is just about to turn thirty. She has a great career, good friends but her relationship status is a big zero and she is on her way of becoming a cat lady. To make herself feel better she heads to the coffee shop for a piece of banana bread, but she finds out that tall dark and yummy just bought the last piece. She confronts him with eyes blazing and Andrew can’t help but be impressed. Most of the time people are awe-struck with him and get tongue tied but not her. All he wants to do is kiss her and possibly some other things to. When he finds out that she is his new Physical Therapist he can’t help but grin because now she will touch him. The attraction is intense and downright lethal. They agree to keep it professional but a drunken trip to Vegas finds them married. With his team’s reputation on the line after a previous scandal that hasn’t completely dissipated, do they stay married? All things point to yes, but things don’t stay calm for long when juicy stories from both of their paths could come out and ruin everything. Can they trust each other with their secrets or does this new marriage fall into a short-term relationship?

The pain that Meghan goes through from her family is downright cruel. Just because she won’t fall in line with what they believe, they criticize her and make her feel less about herself. She is a much better person away from them and I think she finally realizes it after going home with Andrew. He sees the pain they cause her and wants to defend her every time they cause her pain. He is her knight in shining armor so to speak. They click from the very beginning and it feels almost natural to them. He and his family accept her without question, and it amazes her as well as humbles her. Plus, he bakes her the award-winning banana bread. What more could a girl ask for?

Thoroughly Enjoyed!

Was pleasantly surprised that each book was just as good as the last. I loved how all three books tie in together without being directly linked and it was fun to become invested in each of the main characters.

Three books for one price

Not bad. It's got football but also romance so I guess it's a win. I'm not totally in love with this but it was good for an evening or two.
