Leaders of Ancient Rome

Nero: Destroyer of Rome

Rate this book
The life and rule of the first century Roman emperor Nero, who became head of the world's mightiest empire at the age of sixteen and later became infamous for his cruelty and eccentricity.

Nero was an emperor whose capriciousness and arrogance nearly destroyed the Roman political system. It is probably not true that Nero started the fire that burned much of Rome in AD 64, but his cruel actions afterward made him one of the most despised rulers of all time.

Informative read on the ancient emperor of Rome, Nero. What a sad life this man led. Murder after murder (he murdered his own mother! This should tell you something about the character of this man)
