Forever Summer by Nicole Bea is a short read packed full with sweetness. The writing is eloquent and full of memorable and clever lines that left me grinning or misty-eyed. I really have no complaints about this book. Morrigan's past with her abusive ex-boyfriend is handled gracefully and her character arc is realistic. I quickly found myself relating to Morrigan and rooting for her and Levy. The ending is perfect, though bittersweet to me. Levy, Mo, and Tin Star Ranch will definitely stick with me.

A wholesome YA novel about finding true first love and getting over trauma. The book was a little slow for me in places, but I suspect I'm a little older than the target audience. Any teenager looking for a clean love story with a horse rescue subplot will find everything they're looking for here.

I really enjoyed this book. It was just what i was looking for to get me back into reading. Once I started reading it was hard to put it down. Mo's journey was very relatable and Levy was the kind of character that many people could use in their life.

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I kept finding myself wanting more. The story starts off with Morrigan Westhaver leaving her home in Michigan to go to her father's Alabama ranch for the summer. While there she falls in love with the ranch and a boy named Levy. This is hers and Levy's love story. I thought it was beautifully written and I was extremely satisfied with the ending. This is a beautiful love story that I will recommend to each and every person that loves a good romance. There are moments that left me laughing and a few moments that left me teary-eyed. This is truly a book that I'll never forget.

I wish this book would have been out when I was a teen!!! I couldn't put this one down and read it cover to cover in one sitting. A handsome well built cowboy, rescue horses, and a budding summer romance, it had all my favourite qualifications for a great late-teen love story. Then, Nicole took this book beyond being just a well-written mature-teen romance and hit some serious topics as well, including abusive, and toxic relationships, healing, and recovery, self-discovery, acceptance, and growth. I am looking forward to reading more of Nicole's stories.

Grab your cowboy boots and hat because this is one hot summer romance! Forever Summer, categorized as a new adult western romance, follows teenager Morrigan (Mo) as she’s sent to live at her father’s horse farm in Alabama for the summer after a traumatic incident. Emotionally raw and hesitant to let others in, Mo isn’t prepared for farm life - or for the handsome farmhand, Levy Rider.

Romance isn’t my go-to genre, but I absolutely adored this book in more ways than one. It was honest and relatable and cute and realistic enough to picture happening on any southern farm. And, of course, I was able to relate to Mo on a personal level.

The reader learns from the first pages that Mo is running from a toxic relationship - well, running in the sense that she’s not supposed to see her ex, and her parents think she needs to get away in order to heal. Bea does an incredible job writing just how broken Mo is. She doesn’t simply share Mo’s memories and thoughts; there are actions throughout Forever Summer showing just how scared and hurt she is. Avoiding eye contact or closeness, flinching it’s all very realistic and makes the reader sympathetic to Mo’s struggles opening up to her father and Levy.

But the empathy doesn’t end with the characters. Mo’s father has just taken in a handful of rescue horses, and Mo bonds with one she names Stormy. Skittish at first, Stormy bonds to Mo, and the two learn to trust each other and those around them. Even when danger hits too close to home.

This is such a wonderful story about growth and self acceptance, and it’s certainly made me re-examine myself in a new light. I laughed, I cried, and I cheered for Mo as she took each step in this journey. If you’re a fan of country music, I absolutely recommend listening to Doin’ Fine by Lauren Alaina after you’ve finished Forever Summer.

I received a copy from the author. This is my review:

Forever Summer is a lighthearted read that filled my heart with hope for the future and love for its characters. If you're familiar with Nicholas Sparks or Morgan Matson, this book might be just up your alley.

I laughed, cried and felt joy and cared for the characters as if they were my friends. What I loved about Morrigan was that she didn't let her dark past win. Instead, in her own way, she fought against her clouded judgment, she let herself be vulnerable and most importantly, she let it shape her into a stronger, wiser version of herself.

Nicole Bea's writing is beautiful and to the point. She mastered the pacing of this story, making it fast paced but thrilling with every page you read. The way she set the scenes and described the environment made me think at times that I was right there with the characters.

Forever Summer is a gripping read from its first sentence to the last. It's been a while since I stumbled upon such a promising story with a beginning as strong as this one. This is something I've found myself saying multiple times. I love summer books that dive into heavier topics and do it with taste. Nicole Bea really did just that, but delivered so much more.

I loved how at the end, it filled me with hope and happiness, as if I was the one at the ranch, experiencing the therapeutic effects of horses.

I just love this book so much and it's a well-deserved 5-star read. Without a doubt. Big thumbs up from me.

I enjoyed this book because I feel like the author did a wonderful job telling Mo’s story of abuse and recovery. The power of healing while bonding with a horse feels honest. Levy’s patience with her while she tries to retrain her mindset sets the right tone, except for not giving her his truth upfront. She might have been able to open up to him easier if he had started with that.
