Santa: An Interview

Rate this book
Santa: An Interview covers the tales of questions asked to and answered by Santa Claus one winter evening. In a remote northern village close to the North Pole, on a rare occasion during the holiday season, Santa decided to take a break from Operation Christmas! He invited local kids and adults from all ages and backgrounds to the Fairbanks Public Library.

Santa had lovingly provided hot cocoa, snacks, blankets, pillows and a warm magical glowing fire for all in attendance. Tonight was for Santa and the families that came to share stories and ask him their questions. We’re lucky that one of the parents was a journalist for the local Fairbanks Gazette Newspaper, and by trade, always had a notebook in his back pocket. Thanks to this writer, Raymond “Ray” James, we can relive the stories and tales told that rare winter night for countless families to enjoy this holiday season.

You’ll read along as the pages of Ray’s notebook recount the stories and answers witnessed that one magical evening!

This book was a cute fresh approach to my favorite holiday Christmas. The story is told in note form from a parent named Raymond and decorated with the doodles he made. Those doodles were a nice touch and helped to make the whole thing feel more special. The story takes place in an anonymous small town where Santa has agreed to visit the library and answer questions. It refreshed the spirit of Christmas and I did think some of the questions were pretty creative. The idea of Santa holding an event like an author reading with a q+a period was really cute. I could see this being a favorite for families to read during the holidays.

Wow this was such a beautiful book with great character's and colourful artwork and it was a really fun read and I enjoyed reading it. This is a great children book and I look forward to reading it to my grandchildren at christmas and I know that they will enjoy it so much and I loved the quote "Hero of the people" it is so magical and it says such a lot about the book and how people care and look after other's and the children's questions were such a special part of the book. This is a brilliant book to read to children of all ages and they will love and be able to interact with the story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.

Santa: An Interview is such a wonderful family Christmas book!

I received an ARC to review and shared it with my daughter.
She loves it so much she sleeps with it at night.

I'm in love with the book cover and the magical story inside. I looked up the book on the publishers site and saw they got some fun merch for this book. I think I'll be ordering a few things for me and my daughter.

Santa: An Interview has earned a spot on our shelf and is 100% going to be reread every year during the Christmas season!

A different and unique approach to the retelling of Santa! You can even become your own Santa if you just believe...
This isn't a normal book I would pick up and read, but in saying that it was a delightful surprise. The man in red is depicted differently in different cultures and countries. This storybook explores stories from the big man himself from a journalised style point of view. I especially love how his magic came from the Scottish highlands!
Kindness and Love bring the Spirit of Christmas and this book could be a new family tradition.

I received a copy of this book to review, and I was absolutely enchanted! Santa meets with a group of families at a library, tells them about how he came to be Santa Claus, and lets everyone ask him a question. You learn a lot about the North Pole and the elves (did you know that there are air traffic control elves?) in a delightfully fun book. I may even have cried a little. I think this will be the next Christmas classic.

This beautiful story about a family getting to sit with Santa and get to know him brings the true holiday spirit to my heart. As you read through all of the answers Santa gives, as well as the description of those at the Library- you can’t help but be taken back to your childhood and the love you have for Christmas.

Interesting take on Christmas and Santa. Thought it would be something I could share with my grandchildren, but for me, it read rather clunky.

I received a free ebook via Voracious Readers only for my honest review.

I really enjoyed this story and the premise of sitting down and asking questions of Santa. I know, I know, it's for kids but I liked it, too!
